BIAFRA NEWS : IPOB Asks Members To Boycott Kenyan Airlines, Others Over Country's Involvement In Extradition Of Nnamdi Kanu

The group stated that it cannot associate with the enemy of its leader as it maintained that Kanu was never arrested but abducted by the Kenyan government. BIAFRA NEWS : IPOB Asks Members To Boycott Kenyan Airlines, Others Over Country's Involvement In Extradition Of Nnamdi Kanu

The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) says Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta will face the International Criminal Court for his alleged involvement in "abducting and repatriating its leader, Nnamdi Kanu to Nigeria".

The group said it was a shameful thing for Kenyetta to have belittled himself by participating in the arrest and handing over of Kanu to the Nigerian government, adding that all other collaborators would be revealed and dragged to the international court.

According to the statement made available to SaharaReporters by the group’s spokesman, Emma Powerful on Thursday, the group called on its members to shun Kenyan Airlines and other products and services from Kenya, saying the country has become the enemy of Biafra. BIAFRA NEWS : Kenya government Nnamdi Kanu, We no get hand for IPOB leader arrest and deportation' - Kenya government

“We the global movement of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) ably led by our great and indomitable leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, express our disappointment with President Uhuru Kenyatta of Kenya and his Government over his role in the abduction of our leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and his subsequent smuggling into Nigeria by the wicked Nigeria security agents.

“We are still at shock why a President like Uhuru Kenyetta would stoop so low to collude with a terror-friendly Government like Nigeria under President Muhammad Buhari to abduct and dehumanise our leader for doing nothing other than demanding the freedom of Biafrans from the Nigeria bondage.

“Based on our preliminary findings, President Uhuru Kenyetta was very instrumental to the abduction of our leader in Kenya. The treacherous action of Uhuru Kenyatta against Nnamdi Kanu and Biafrans at large is a clear violation of the 1949 Geneva Convention, and United Nations Code.  NIMC registration portal: How to link your MTN, Glo, Airtel, 9mobile sim with NIN

“We still don't understand why Uhuru Kenyatta and some corrupt officials of his Government would prefer to betray Nnamdi Kanu and Biafrans? Is it because of Nigeria's oil money? Is it because of the paltry N100 million bounty placed on Kanu's head by some Northern charlatans? Why will President Uhuru Kenyetta sell our leader Mazi Nnamdi to the evil hands of the Nigerian government?

“It is so shameful that Uhuru Kenyatta would belittle himself in a manner he has just done,” the statement read partly. Nigerian separatist leader brought back to Nigeria to face trial

The group stated that it cannot associate with the enemy of its leader as it maintained that Kanu was never arrested but abducted by the Kenyan government.

Also, the pro-Biafra separatist group reminded the Nigerian government that no harm should befall its leader who is in the custody of the Department of State Services (DSS).

In the statement titled 'President Uhuru Kenyatta of Kenya will be Held Accountable for Betraying Mazi Nnamdi Kanu - IPOB', the group said Kanu belongs to many international organisations.  Nnamdi Kanu: Nigeria arrests Biafra separatist leader

“By this wickedness and grievous sin, Uhuru Kenyatta has demonstrated his affection for the murderous Fulani terrorists ravaging entire Nigeria killing and maiming indigenous people in their ancestral lands.

“Uhuru Kenyatta and his partners in crime should get ready to meet us at the International Criminal Court, ICC. This act of terror against our leader, Nnamdi Kanu, a NATO citizen, a British citizen with a British Passport, and a member of other international organisations will not go unpunished.
Antetokounmpo suffers knee injury as Atlanta beat Milwaukee to level series
“As we continue with our investigations into this crime with a view to unmasking all the collaborators, we announce the following interim actions until further notice:

“We call on all Biafrans both home and in the diaspora to boycott travels with the Kenya Airlines; to immediately stop patronising any product made in Kenya, and to boycott any business dealings with Kenyans. We cannot be relating friendly with anyone collaborating with our oppressors to keep us in perpetual slavery!

“We also want to urge all Biafrans and members of the public to disregard all the concocted rubbish the wicked Nigerian Government and their agents have been peddling about how and where our leader was arrested.  Army, police, Abba Kyari can’t withstand Boko Haram, ISWAP, bandits – Nnamdi Kanu

“He was never arrested but abducted. All this cock and bull story is to twist facts and blackmail our selfless leader who they have seen as the major obstacle against their agenda to completely Islamise and Fulani Nigeria. Nobody should believe these lies. They are only intended to demarket our leader and puncture his global reputation and teeming followership.  feared dead as explosion rocks Benue community

“The global family of IPOB reaffirm our unalloyed loyalty, belief, and confidence in our leader, Nnamdi Kanu. Biafrans are united behind him in his current ordeal in the hands of our oppressors. We also wish to remind the Nigerian Government that nothing should happen to our leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu,” the statement added.

June 12: MKO Abiola funded 1985 coup that removed Buhari – Fani-Kayode alleges

Femi Fani-Kayode, former Aviation Minister has alleged that Moshood Kashimawo Olawale, MKO, Abiola was behind the 1985 coup.

Fani-Kayode alleged that Abiola funded the coup that removed President Muhammadu Buhari from power in 1985.

He claimed that the same people Abiola used to remove Buhari from power annulled the 1993 presidential election he won.

The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, chieftain disclosed this in a series of tweets.

June 12: Abiola cannot be happy with Nigeria, democracy now autocracy – Gani Adams

Fani-Kayode, however, commended Buhari for immortalizing Abiola with June 12 democracy day, 35 years later.

According to Fani-Kayode: “MKO Abiola funded the coup that removed Buhari from power in 1985 yet it was the same people he put in power that year that annulled his election as President 8 years later in 1993. What an irony! Again the same Buhari he removed from power in 1985 was the one that, 35 years later.

“Once back in power, apologised for the annulment of his 1993 presidential election and mandate even though he had no hand in it and immortalised his name by declaring June 12th Democracy Day. This is instructive! No matter what u say or think about Buhari, he did well on this one.”

Buhari recently changed Democracy Day from May 29 to June 12 in commemoration of Abiola, following the annulment of the 1993 presidential election he won.

EndSARS protesters wanted to remove me as president – Buhari

President Muhammadu Buhari has claimed that last year’s EndSARS protests against police brutality, were aimed at removing him from office.

Buhari stated this while appearing on Arise TV on Thursday morning.

He also blamed the protests on the dwindling inflow of foreign direct investment to the country.

The president insisted that those who participated in the protests, have made Nigeria unattractive to investors.

Buhari was asked how he can improve foreign direct investment (FDI) to Nigeria.

In response he said: “This question was answered last year when there was the #EndSARS protest last year. You remember the young people that wanted to march here and remove me?”

The president added: “Tell the young people to behave themselves and make the country safe, then we can attract real investors to the country”.

Members of the Jemgbagh Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Unity Forum, comprising Gboko, Buruku and Tarka Local Government Areas of Benue State, have lauded the courage exhibited by Governor Samuel Ortom in defending the people of the state against Fulani herdsmen.

Interim President of the Forum, Prince Yandev Amaabai, said just like God brought the late Aper Aku to provide infrastructure based on the needs at his time, God brought Governor Samuel Ortom at this time to deal with the security situation.

Prince Amaabai stated that the Open Grazing Prohibition and Ranches Establishment Law which the Governor had promulgated and is being embraced by Nigerians had exposed an evil agenda against Benue people and Nigeria at large, stressing that the multiplier effect of the law would forever be remembered.

He expressed delight that aside from securing the state from being occupied by herdsmen, Governor Ortom has recorded other tangible achievements such as the construction of roads and township streets as well as massive renovation of primary schools across the state among others.

Speaking for Gboko Local Government, Chief Terngu Tsegba, Laha Dzever for Buruku and Mr Adicks Alu for Tarka noted that the Governor has performed well in security and other areas and assured of supporting him to do more for the state.

Others including, Mr Mike Mku, Mrs Lydia Nyor for women and Mr Tivzua Zuana, thanked Governor Ortom for contributing to the development of PDP in the state and North Central and promised to stand with him in his future political ambition.

Responding, Governor Samuel Ortom said the Federal Government led by the All Progressives Congress (APC) has failed the people in terms of security and enjoined the people to key into the Community Volunteer Guards to end herdsmen attacks and root out cultism.

Governor Ortom expressed joy that every Nigerian has come to acknowledge the prohibition of open grazing as the solution to the herdsmen menace except the presidency which is insisting on opening grazing routes, saying he would continue to speak out against criminality being perpetrated by herdsmen.

The Governor commended the Jemgbagh PDP Unity Forum for the initiative of coming together to speak with one voice and enjoined them to sustain the love among them to foster development in their communities.

‘I’ll keep that to myself’ – Buhari parries question on Twitter ban

President Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday turned down a question on the suspension of the microblogging and social networking service, Twitter, in Nigeria.

Recall that the Minister of information and Tourism, Lai Mohammed, had last Friday announced the indefinite suspension of Twitter’s operations in the country.

Mohammed said the government was forced to act because of “the persistent use of the platform for activities that are capable of undermining Nigeria’s corporate existence.”

The suspension of Twitter has continued to spark widespread outrage, with many Nigerians condemning the move.

However, when asked on Arise TV when the Twitter ban would be lifted, Buhari declined to comment, saying he would “keep” the answer to himself.

“I will keep that to myself,” the president said.

Nnamdi Kanu orders IPOB to destabilize Nigeria using Twitter – Lai Mohammed

The Federal Government has lamented that Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, is using Twitter to destabilize Nigeria.

Lai Mohammed, the Minister of Information and Culture, disclosed this at an interview with BBC News Africa.

Mohammed noted that Kanu uses Twitter to direct members of IPOB to attack policemen, soldiers, correctional centres and offices of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.

The minister lamented that Twitter has failed to sanction the IPOB leader for using the platform to destabilize Nigeria.

Nigerians mock Buhari govt for announcing suspension of Twitter via Twitter

Lai Mohammed said, “IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu in particular, his platform of choice to destabilise the country is Twitter.

“Twitter is actually the platform of choice for the separatist leader who resides outside Nigeria but issues directives for his members to attack the symbols of authority such as policemen, soldiers, correctional centres, electoral offices.

“This has been done willfully and consistently without consequences using always the Twitter platform.”

The Minister had last week disclosed the ban on Twitter in Nigeria.

Nigeria vs Twitter: Only Biden can face Buhari – US Intel expert, Matthew Page

Nigeria’s President Muhammadu Buhari may not reverse the ban on Twitter unless United States President Joe Biden intervenes in the standoff which entered day 6 today.

Former US intelligence community’s top Nigeria specialist, Matthew Page, said this in an interview with in reaction to the latest demand by the world power.

Samantha Power, currently the US Agency for International Development (USAID) Administrator, illustrated Nigeria’s action against the company as ‘an aggression against free speech’.

The ex-US Ambassador to the United Nations (UN) affirmed that nearly 40 million Nigerians use Twitter, and that “the country is home to Africa’s largest tech hub”.

“This suspension is nothing more than state-sanctioned denial of free speech and should be reversed immediately”, Power requested.

Twitter is an American microblogging and social networking service.

The 44-year-old CEO, Jack Dorsey, visited Nigeria in November 2019.

Asked if the US government may decide to retaliate, Page said that going by the current attitude of the Biden administration, there may be no reprisal.

The associate fellow of the Chatham House Africa Programme in London said he was seeing “a very muted response”.

“I’ve witnessed the internal hand-wringing and reluctance to levy visa bans in much clearer situations, e.g. specific senior officials engaging in corruption or human rights abuses.

“Since this is government policy, any policy move by the US would have to target the state itself, and I don’t see the Embassy officials (at least) having the wherewithal to do that.

“The only way that would change is if someone very senior, President Biden or the Secretary of State, insisted that steps be taken and thereby clarified what the US response to Buhari’s decision should be”, the expert said.

Nigerian authorities sanctioned Twitter for deleting the President’s tweet after several citizens reported it for violating the rules of the social media platform.

Angered by incessant attacks on government facilities and the murder of dozens of security operatives in the South-East, Buhari said the perpetrators did not witness the carnage that occurred during the 1967 -1970 Civil War.

“Those of us in the fields for 30 months, who went through the war, will treat them in the language they understand”, he fumed.

The National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) has been directed to license all social media operations.

The NBC will also ensure that broadcast stations – Television and Radio – do not use Twitter until further notice. There will be penalties for the defaulters.

The Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP) has gone to court in protest of the alleged “repression of human rights, freedom of expression, access to information and media freedom”.

Food crisis looms in Nigeria – El-Rufai

Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, says food crisis looms in Nigeria due to spate insecurity across states.

El-Rufai lamented that farmers cannot go to their farms, while some have fled their villages to avoid attacks by criminals.

He spoke on Thursday at the 2021 second quarter meeting of Directors of the Department of State Services (DSS) in North-West states.

The governor told the officers that tackling security challenges requires intelligence-sharing and cooperation of all agencies.

The Kaduna helmsman warned that addressing insecurity in one state will push outlaws to others.

El-Rufai said relevant organs must not only establish the identities, plans and locations of criminals, but disrupt their capacity to organise and hit citizens.

Bandits: Only way to stop banditry is kill them all – El-Rufai
“It is also very important to ensure that prompt and coordinated action becomes the default response of the Armed Forces and the Police to the profusion of actionable intelligence that is already available.”

El-Rufai observed gangs have become more daring and dangerous since recovering from their near defeat in 2015.

He stressed that the DSS’ vital role was to make information available to the Police and Armed Forces “for the total defeat of these dangerous insurgents”.
