A foremost socio-cultural youth organization of Igbo extraction, Igbo Youth Assembly (IYA) has called on various Igbo groups clamouring for secession from Nigeria to stop their agitation and embrace activities that sustain national unity and peace. The call was contained in a statement jointly signed by the President-General, Ifeanyi Nwaudunna and Secretary-General, Casmir Irekamba after their virtual general assembly and made available to journalists in Owerri, yesterday. The group accused some Igbo leaders of being selfish, myopic; and misguiding the youths into agitating for succession which according to them was not in the best interest of the Igboland. The statement reads in part, “Nigeria as a nation and country is better united and remains as one indivisible entity.
