Nnamdi Azikiwe once called Igbo ‘rebels,’ started problems we are suffering – Nnamdi Kanu

Kanu made the claim while faulting claims that Azikiwe was one of the greatest Igbos of his generation. The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu, has alleged that the late nationalist, Nnamdi Azikwe started the problems Igbo people are currently suffering in Nigeria. IPOB : War bomb discovered in Anambra village

The bomb was handed over to the Explosives Ordinance Disposal (EOD) unit of the State Police Command, who destroyed it. An unexploded civil war bomb has been discovered by some workers at a construction site in Adabebe village, in Amawbia, Awka South Local Government Area of Anambra State. According to the Police Public Relations Officer for Anambra, Haruna Mohammed, the weapon was a mortar bomb, adding that it was dug up by an excavator digging the foundation for the construction of a perimeter fence. Mohammed in a statement said, “although, the weapon did not explode at the construction site, the Police found out that it was still very potent and could wreak great havoc if mishandled.” The excavator, identified only as Onyekachukwu, said he initially thought the weapon was a tuber of yam given its shape, but that when he brought it out, he discovered that it was a bomb. “We found this bomb at someone’s place while digging the foundation for a fence. BIAFRA : 577 medicine shops in Anambra sealed for illegal operations, other offences

The Pharmacists Council of Nigeria (PCN) has sealed off 96 pharmacies and 481 patent medicine shops totalling 577 medicine premises in Anambra for various offences. The PCN’s Director, Inspection and Monitoring, Mrs Anthonia Aruya, made this known in Awka on Friday while addressing newsmen on the council’s efforts at sanitising the sector in the state. Aruya said that a total of 779 medicine premises were visited after which 19 of them were issued compliance directives for various offences, NAN reports. According to her, the offences range from poor handling of controlled substances, sale and dispensing of prescription drugs without the supervision of a pharmacist as well as for unhygienic environment and poor documentation.
