BIAFRA NEWS : IPOB Asks Members To Boycott Kenyan Airlines, Others Over Country's Involvement In Extradition Of Nnamdi Kanu

The group stated that it cannot associate with the enemy of its leader as it maintained that Kanu was never arrested but abducted by the Kenyan government. BIAFRA NEWS : IPOB Asks Members To Boycott Kenyan Airlines, Others Over Country's Involvement In Extradition Of Nnamdi Kanu

The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) says Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta will face the International Criminal Court for his alleged involvement in "abducting and repatriating its leader, Nnamdi Kanu to Nigeria".

The group said it was a shameful thing for Kenyetta to have belittled himself by participating in the arrest and handing over of Kanu to the Nigerian government, adding that all other collaborators would be revealed and dragged to the international court.

According to the statement made available to SaharaReporters by the group’s spokesman, Emma Powerful on Thursday, the group called on its members to shun Kenyan Airlines and other products and services from Kenya, saying the country has become the enemy of Biafra. BIAFRA NEWS : Kenya government Nnamdi Kanu, We no get hand for IPOB leader arrest and deportation' - Kenya government

“We the global movement of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) ably led by our great and indomitable leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, express our disappointment with President Uhuru Kenyatta of Kenya and his Government over his role in the abduction of our leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and his subsequent smuggling into Nigeria by the wicked Nigeria security agents.

“We are still at shock why a President like Uhuru Kenyetta would stoop so low to collude with a terror-friendly Government like Nigeria under President Muhammad Buhari to abduct and dehumanise our leader for doing nothing other than demanding the freedom of Biafrans from the Nigeria bondage.

“Based on our preliminary findings, President Uhuru Kenyetta was very instrumental to the abduction of our leader in Kenya. The treacherous action of Uhuru Kenyatta against Nnamdi Kanu and Biafrans at large is a clear violation of the 1949 Geneva Convention, and United Nations Code.  NIMC registration portal: How to link your MTN, Glo, Airtel, 9mobile sim with NIN

“We still don't understand why Uhuru Kenyatta and some corrupt officials of his Government would prefer to betray Nnamdi Kanu and Biafrans? Is it because of Nigeria's oil money? Is it because of the paltry N100 million bounty placed on Kanu's head by some Northern charlatans? Why will President Uhuru Kenyetta sell our leader Mazi Nnamdi to the evil hands of the Nigerian government?

“It is so shameful that Uhuru Kenyatta would belittle himself in a manner he has just done,” the statement read partly. Nigerian separatist leader brought back to Nigeria to face trial

The group stated that it cannot associate with the enemy of its leader as it maintained that Kanu was never arrested but abducted by the Kenyan government.

Also, the pro-Biafra separatist group reminded the Nigerian government that no harm should befall its leader who is in the custody of the Department of State Services (DSS).

In the statement titled 'President Uhuru Kenyatta of Kenya will be Held Accountable for Betraying Mazi Nnamdi Kanu - IPOB', the group said Kanu belongs to many international organisations.  Nnamdi Kanu: Nigeria arrests Biafra separatist leader

“By this wickedness and grievous sin, Uhuru Kenyatta has demonstrated his affection for the murderous Fulani terrorists ravaging entire Nigeria killing and maiming indigenous people in their ancestral lands.

“Uhuru Kenyatta and his partners in crime should get ready to meet us at the International Criminal Court, ICC. This act of terror against our leader, Nnamdi Kanu, a NATO citizen, a British citizen with a British Passport, and a member of other international organisations will not go unpunished.

“As we continue with our investigations into this crime with a view to unmasking all the collaborators, we announce the following interim actions until further notice:

“We call on all Biafrans both home and in the diaspora to boycott travels with the Kenya Airlines; to immediately stop patronising any product made in Kenya, and to boycott any business dealings with Kenyans. We cannot be relating friendly with anyone collaborating with our oppressors to keep us in perpetual slavery!

“We also want to urge all Biafrans and members of the public to disregard all the concocted rubbish the wicked Nigerian Government and their agents have been peddling about how and where our leader was arrested.  Army, police, Abba Kyari can’t withstand Boko Haram, ISWAP, bandits – Nnamdi Kanu

“He was never arrested but abducted. All this cock and bull story is to twist facts and blackmail our selfless leader who they have seen as the major obstacle against their agenda to completely Islamise and Fulani Nigeria. Nobody should believe these lies. They are only intended to demarket our leader and puncture his global reputation and teeming followership.  feared dead as explosion rocks Benue community

“The global family of IPOB reaffirm our unalloyed loyalty, belief, and confidence in our leader, Nnamdi Kanu. Biafrans are united behind him in his current ordeal in the hands of our oppressors. We also wish to remind the Nigerian Government that nothing should happen to our leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu,” the statement added.

Kanu went missing when he failed to appear in court in 2015 and his whereabouts prior to the arrest was unknown. Officials did not disclose where he was apprehended. Nnamdi Kanu: Nigeria arrests Biafra separatist leader
"He has been brought back to Nigeria in order to continue facing trial after disappearing while on bail regarding 11 count charge against him," Malami said.

Kanu was initially arrested on 14th October, 2015 on an 11 count charge bordering on terrorism, treasonable felony, managing an unlawful society, publication of defamatory matter, illegal possession of firearms and improper importation of goods, among others, Malami said.
He is accused of engaging in subversive activities that include inciting violence through television, radio and online broadcasts against Nigeria and Nigerian State and institutions.  Army, police, Abba Kyari can’t withstand Boko Haram, ISWAP, bandits – Nnamdi Kanu

Nnamdi Kanu: Nigeria arrests Biafra separatist leader

Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of a separatist group that wants a breakaway state in eastern Nigeria, has been arrested.

His movement, the Indigenous People of Biafra (Ipob), has been labelled as a terrorist organisation by the Nigerian authorities.

He was initially held in 2015 on treason charges but then fled the country in 2017 while on bail.

Mr Kanu is a popular figure who has been a thorn in the side of Nigerian authorities since 2009.

He used his Radio Biafra station, which broadcasts from London, to call for an independent state for Igbo people.

Mr Kanu's arrest in 2015 triggered massive protests by his supporters in south-east Nigeria.

He was detained on Sunday with the help of Interpol, Nigeria's Attorney General Abubakar Malami said.

Mr Kanu was flown to Nigeria where he was presented in court on Tuesday by the country's secret police.

It is not clear where Mr Kanu, who has British nationality, was flying from when he was arrested.

Mr Kanu founded Ipob in 2014 - the latest group advocating for a country for Nigeria's Igbos.

In 1967 Igbo leaders declared independence for the state of Biafra, but after a civil war, which led to the deaths of up to a million people, the secessionist rebellion was defeated.

But the idea of Biafra has never gone away and despite arrests of his members, Mr Kanu's movement has seen a recent swell in its numbers.

Ipob established an armed wing - the Eastern Security Network (ESN) last year - and the authorities say the group has been responsible for a number of attacks on police stations and other public properties in southern Nigeria.

President Muhammadu Buhari has vowed to crush Ipob.

Last month he tweeted about the security issues in south-east Nigeria and said "those misbehaving today" would be dealt with in "the language they will understand".

The tweet was removed by Twitter for violating its rules after Mr Buhari faced backlash, leading to a suspension of the micro-blogging site in Nigeria.

The president, during a recent TV interview, also referred to Ipob as a "dot in a circle" that can easily be crushed.

He was criticised by many Igbo leaders who felt he was referring to people of the Igbo ethnic group and not just Ipob.

Antetokounmpo suffers knee injury as Atlanta beat Milwaukee to level series

Milwaukee Bucks' Giannis Antetokounmpo was forced off with a knee injury as they suffered a 110-88 defeat by the Atlanta Hawks that levels their Eastern Conference finals series at 2-2.

Antetokounmpo, 26, had to be helped off court and back to the locker room after landing awkwardly in the third quarter.

He returned unaided to watch from the sidelines, but faces further tests to determine the severity of the injury.

"You lose your best player, it stinks," said Bucks forward PJ Tucker.

"But this is the Eastern Conference Finals. There is no excuse. It doesn't matter whoever is playing, not playing.

"They've got guys hurt. Everybody is hurt. Everybody is banged up. Everybody is injured. You've got to fight through it."

The Bucks trailed by 10 points at the time of Antetokounmpo's injury, but were 25 points behind by the end of the quarter as the Hawks took full advantage of the two-time NBA Most Valuable Player's absence.

Lou Williams, in for the injured Trae Young, top-scored for Atlanta with 21 points while Bogdan Bogdanovic added 20 points, with six Atlanta players finishing in double figures.

"It was a total team effort and guys continue to step in and take advantage of opportunities when they get them," said Hawks coach Nate McMillan.

Game five of the best-of-seven series is in Milwaukee on Thursday.

Kanu made the remark while accusing Nigerian security operatives of killing Igbo youths while failing to curb terrorists in the Northeast.
