BIAFRA : Boko Haram fears loom as vigilantes threaten to withdraw from war front in Borno

While Boko Haram fighters intensify anti-citizens’ campaign in the Northeastern part of Askira Uba local government area of Borno state, local vigilantes considered as strong pillars in the fight against the terrorists are threatening to withdraw their indispensable services.

The withdrawal threats were heard among members of the vigilante group fighting Boko Haram insurgents in Askira Uba local government area for lack of payment of their monthly stipends.

The group which comprises hunters who depend solely on farming could not cultivate their farm produce this year, because of their regular patrol of flashpoints in the area to protect citizens from the carnage of Boko Haram fighters and were eventually left with only one source of income of N10,000 stipends given to them by the state government.

Stopping or rather depriving them of this allowance for the past three months has already put them in economic difficulties as they can no longer take care of their basic family needs, DAILY POST gathered.

This situation has dampened their fighting spirit as they feel they have been allegedly neglected by the authorities responsible for the payment of their allowances.

It was hinted that, Governor Babagana Umara Zulum in his recent visit to the local government, having received the complaint from the leader of the group; ordered for the immediate payment of their allowances, but as of the time of filing this report, the group is yet to receive the allowance.

A concern citizen of the area, Muhammad Musa Askira said, “If truly the state government released the money, only for some individuals to refuse the payment, then, it is not out of place to suggest that the individuals concerned are bent at sabotaging the efforts of the federal and state governments in the fight against the insurgency.

“The immense contribution of the vigilante group cannot be overemphasized even by the soldiers who see the group as moral booster and indispensable pillar in the fight against Boko Haram in the area.

“Soldiers alone cannot fight the insurgents as they are new to the terrain and so are depending on these gallant vigilantes for success in moving Operation Lafiya Dole to its logical conclusion”.

It was gathered that, residents are now in fervent prayers so that the allowances be paid to them on time to keep them in the war front as their withdrawal is capable of jeopardizing the whole operations.

BIAFRA : BREAKING, Soleimani killing: Islamic Movement protests in Abuja, burns US flag

Members of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria (IMN) otherwise known as Shi’tes has began a protest in Abuja, the Nigeria’s capital, over the killing of Qassem Soleimani the leader of Iranian military.

Suleimani was killed by an American airstrike on Friday, a situation that have heightened tensions in the Middle East region.

Shiites led a procession through Banex, Wuse Area to Berger roundabout in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) on Monday.

They also demanded that the President Muhammadu Buhari government should release their leader, Sheikh Ibrahim El-Zakzaky and his wife, Zeenat unconditional.

El-Zakzaky and his wife are currently detained by the Department of State Services (DSS) in Kaduna State.

While burning a flag of the United States and carrying placards, the angry protesters, chanted hate songs and slogan criticising the American government.

Their placard condemned the killing of the top Iranian general.

BIAFRA : Boko Haram Women, children killed as bomb explosion rocks Gamboru in Borno

Reports from Gamboru Ngala local government in Borno State indicate that several people, mainly women and children, have been killed as explosion suspected to have been masterminded by Book Haram rocked the area.

The explosives were said to have been planted close to a bridge between Nigeria and Cameroon border.

Traders, who spoke to DAILY POST on phone, said the bomb exploded during routine security check on people, who are coming out of the market.

Alhaji Tahir Mamman, who spoke to our Correspondent said he cannot ascertain the number of casualty.

“Today is the market day. The bomb incident happened at 3 O’clock when the people were returning home.

“A lot of women and children have been killed. May God Almighty bring an end to our predicaments,” Tahir said.

The military is yet to comment on the bomb explosion.

BIAFRA : 2020 Prophet Iginla releases 44 prophecies on terrorism, persecution of Christians, APC breaking up

Prophet Joshua Iginla of Champions Royal Assembly has released 44 prophecies for the year 2020.

Iginla predicted the emergence of another form of terrorism, adding that the agitation for Biafra would be strong in 2020.

He disclosed that there will be disaffection, disunity and splitting in the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, at the end of their tenure.

The clergyman also predicted the persecution of Nigerians this year.

The prophecies read in full below;

1) The government of the day will do her best to see how to improve the life of the common man but I see a lot of battles.

2) The economy will suffer a lot of setbacks . I am not a prophet of doom but I see a lot of hardship, it will take God’s intervention to see what we desire to see.
37) Malawi is God’s own nation and the hand of God is upon that nation. The truth is Malawi is about to a new dispensation of glory and there is no mortal man that can stop it . But before that I see a lot that we have to pray and the Malawians have to pray . We prophesy peace even after the court declaration in Jesus name .

38) The great president of Gabon should be careful because there are lot of people around him who wish him dead . He meant well for the nation of Gabon . We have to pray for him.

39) I have set forth the 3rd and 4th of January , 2020 for fasting and prayer for him. God will preserve him but we have to pray for him strongly . I see the candle light burning but God will keep him.

40) The nation of Kenya has to pray very well in terms of their security. I see mischievous people with mischievous plan trying to cause bomb blasts at sensitive places . We will put that in prayer from 10th-11th of January 2020.

41) Their is going to be a strong protest in the nation of Cameroon against the leadership and this can be very bad . I saw an aggression that can cause a blood bath. It’s not a conventional protest but a very strong one. I am not a prophet of doom. God revealed to redeem . We are praying that this should be reversed in Jesus name .

42) President Trump will go through all the saga, it will be tough but he will come out of it and it will make him very popular.

43) The ruling party in Ghana should not underestimate the former president contesting on the platform of opposition. There is a star on his head.

44) Zambia. I see the economy of Zambia growing stronger and better than it has ever experienced. You can call it a miracle or wonder but it will further make the president popular. And I see a strong spiritual revival that will move through the land because of the cry of the brethren.

BIAFRA : Nnamdi Kanu Is A Herdsman By Churchill Okonkwo

The Tragedy of the Commons by Hardin (1968) is an economic theory that describes how people often use natural resources to their advantage without considering the good of a group or society as a whole. When a few individuals consider only their own welfare in this manner, it leads to negative outcomes for everybody, as the natural resource becomes depleted.

The famous example given by Hardin includes pastureland that people use to graze their cattle. Herdsmen who operate under The Tragedy of the Commons don’t consider how excessive grazing or adding additional cattle to their herd will impact another herdsman or everyone as a whole in the long run. The more herdsmen who only consider their own herd and profit, the more the pasture is run down and the more all the herds suffer. As Hardin (1968) put it, “Freedom in a common brings ruin to all”.

The idea of the commons can be extrapolated to many different contexts where humans believe they should have free reign which affects humanity as a whole. Not only does it relate to land and pollution, but it also relates to the freedom to use, misuse and overuse the enigmatic Spirit of Biafra. 

The Biafran Spirit is a common resource owned by all Igbos. It is the trait that all Igbos use to achieve unprecedented success in their chosen life endeavors. It remains the never-say-die attitude that Igbos are known for.

Unfortunately, as in the Tragedy of the Commons, Nnamdi Kanu and IPOB have been overusing and misusing this shared resource. Like a herdsman that adds additional cattle to the land to maximise personal gain leading to the degradation of the land from overgrazing, Nnamdi Kanu uses and manipulates the Biafran Spirit, which is the common good of all Igbos for his monetary gains and has brought ruin to the entire Igbo race.

Due to the reorientation of our cultural values in Igbo land over the past couple of decades; individuals are locked into a system that compels them to maximise personal gains without limit. Thus, ruin is the destination towards which IPOB and Nnamdi Kanu have pushed all Igbos, politically, economically, socially and religiously.

If you are building a house and a nail breaks, do you stop building or do you change the nail? The nail, IPOB, is not only broken but is lost in the wilderness of western countries. IPOB as presently constituted and ran is simply serving as a fulltime job for the leadership that is simply making some small change for themselves. They have politically ruined the chance of an Igbo man becoming the President of Nigeria in the foreseeable future.

As we speak, Chief Atiku Abubakar is strongly positioning himself to run for reelection under the platform of the PDP in 2023. You know why? This is simply because the Igbos who are the major stakeholders in the PDP are conscious of the damage caused by Nnamdi Kanu and IPOB to the Igbo identity in the Nigerian political landscape. Peter Obi who ordinarily is expected to step up and fly the ticket of the PDP in the 2023 Presidential election is currently shying away from that responsibility.

Several solutions have been proposed to offset negative outcomes related to The Tragedy of the Commons. In general, solving this problem requires collaboration and cooperation as people come together to preserve resources for the good of all. 

By focusing on interest as narrow as separatism, Igbos who support IPOB and those not speaking out against the collateral damage to Igbo brand in Nigeria miss the broader picture of the need to protect and preserve our common resource – the Biafran Spirit.

Nothing equals possibilities like unleashed thinking. To unleash our thinking, we should have long realized that the politics of fanning ethnic sentiment in a multicultural Nigeria has taken Igbos as far as it can – nowhere.

What Igbos need in this New Year and a new decade is collaboration and cooperation to transform the states in Igbo land through our handwork and ingenuity. To save our common resource from the polluter, IPOB, Igbos should build a broad coalition that will actualise the structural changes needed at the center.

Per Hardin, the polluter “finds that his share of the cost of the wastes he discharges into the commons is less than the cost of purifying his wastes before releasing them.” Similarly, Nnamdi Kanu and IPOB find that the share of damaging the Biafran Spirit and by extension, the Igbo brand in Nigeria through their toxic rhetoric is less than the cost of purifying their utterances before spewing them out.

A Beninese proverb says that you must attend to your business with the vendor in the market, and not to the noise of the market. IPOB as presently constituted is a noise. Igbos, should, therefore, attend to the business of living in a multicultural Nigeria without the constant distraction from the noise.

An Israeli Prophet, Prophet Emperor has prophesied the coming of Biafra in 2022. Prophet Emperor prophesied that, “The biafra liberation will happen in 2020 and all people from South-Eastern Nigeria gathered in a place holding Biafra flag, singing and dancing.”

BIAFRA : Nigerians React As Kanu Nwankwo Set To Launch Biafra Football Team On February

Former super eagle star Nwankwo Kanu, is the who always like to give back to society. Kanu Foundation has saved thousand of people and still saving people today, he has been a blessing to many people apart from his foundation. According to him, it is time to give back to Ndigbo which he refers as Biafrans.

He said that one of his goals this year is to form a team known as IPOB football team. It will commence on February 2020, he further said that the aim of forming the team is to unite Igbo youths, discover and develop their talent and to bring more prosperity in Igbo land.

He said that the team is for only people from South- East, Imo, Enugu, Anambra, Ebonyi and Abia State. He also call on other players from South-East, like Mikel Obi, Iheanacho others to join hand to make the dream reality. Igbos see it as a welcome development in South-East.

Jay Jay Okocha has done something similar to what Nwankwo Kanu wants to do. Three years ago Okocha gathered some youths in Delta state began to trained them, today he has raised football stars from the team. Igbos are talented when you come to sports, in next three years many football stars will arise from IPOB football team, by the God’s grace.
