IPOB : Intersociety releases photo, and names of women arrested in Imo

Intersociety, in a statement signed by Board Chairman Emeka Umeagbalasi and Head, Civil Liberties and Rule of Law Programme, Obianuju Joy Igboeli, Esq, accused the President Muhammadu Buhari-led administration of pushing Igbos to the wall.  The incarcerated Mothers of Igbo Nation deserve apologies and reparative packages for their wrongful detention and being labeled  terrorists  and felons  in Government’s panicky and draconian response to their use of  braziers as human rights kits  to protest Government’s sundry atrocities against their children and husbands, it said.   The International Society for Civil Liberties & the Rule of Law (Intersociety), has asked the Nigerian and Imo State Governments to discontinue, withdraw and discharge all the 10-count charges of treasonable felony, conspiracy to commit treasonable felony and terrorism levelled against over 100 women arrested during a pro Biafra protest.  In line with the recent Judgment of the Supreme Court of Nigeria on unconstitutionality of the so called  Holden Charge , we further call upon the Chief Justice of Nigeria and the AGF, as case may be, to issue a practice direction to all Magistrates in Nigeria to refrain from using their Courts to effect indiscriminate dumping of suspects in prison custodies especially in offences the said Magistrates and their Courts do not have jurisdiction to try,
Common sense and logic suffix that where a Magistrate Court cannot exercise jurisdiction over an offence before the Court, such zero jurisdiction must be exercised fully including non admittance of the arraignment of the suspects connected to the zero jurisdiction matter or by not allowing the charge sheet to be read in open Court. The arresting and detaining authorities coming to the Court with such zero jurisdiction matter should be sent out of the Court or ordered to take their detainees to the appropriate Courts (i.e. High Court) and charged them accordingly.  Analysis done by Intersociety on their social and family backgrounds clearly shows that most of them are mothers of young children. Those under this category are between the ages of 22 and 45, numbering 80. Yet their incarceration and torture has attracted little or no attention locally and internationally.

THE NAMES OF THE WOMEN  This is in spite of the fact that they did not commit any felony during their street protest, with no gun or rifle of any kind or IEDs found in their possession or from any of them; except flags and insignias and other faith objects such as bangles, chaplets, bibles, necklaces, sachets of water, etc. Still they were arrested, detained, tortured and labeled  terrorists  and  treasonable felons ; with the world maintaining inexplicable silence of congregated and aggregated proportion till date.  It is recalled that the incarcerated Mothers of the Igbo Nation whose names are provided below had on 17th August 2018 embarked on peaceful street protest (guaranteed by Sections 39 and 40 of the 1999 Constitution under rights to freedom of expression, assembly and movement) in Owerri, Imo State. The street protest was organised by the unarmed, defenseless and innocent women to express their deep displeasure over persecutory policies of the present central Government in Igbo Land including ceaseless killing in hundreds by the same Government of unarmed and defenseless pro Biafra activists and maiming of hundreds of others as well as planned  Army Python Dance 111  and non disclosure of the whereabouts of Mr. Nnamdi Kanu and his royal parents, HRH, Eze Israel Okwu and Lolo Ugoeze Nnene Kanu who reportedly went missing following the military invasion of their Afara-ukwu Palace near, Umuahia on 14th September 2017.
The police and other security agencies, on orders of the Government of Imo State and the Federal Government of Nigeria resorted to use of draconian methods by getting them rounded up and detained for three days at the State Police Command Headquarters in Owerri; from where they were arraigned at Owerri Magistrate Court, presided over Mrs. S.K. Kaduruma. The arraignment was with charge number: OW/430/2018: CP Imo State v Ijeoma Okorie (30yrs) & 111 ors. The Legal and Prosecution Department of the State Police Command represented by SP Thaddeus Okechukwu later read 10-count spurious charges of  treasonable felony conspiracy to commit treasonable felony  terrorism , among others. Despite efforts made by their team of lawyers led by Barr Ifeanyi Ejiofor to draw the judicial attention of the presiding Magistrate, Mrs. S.K. Kaduruma to the recent judgment of the Supreme Court of Nigeria to the effect that  a Magistrate Court that does not have jurisdiction to try an offense brought before her, cannot exercise same jurisdiction she does not have by remanding the alleged offenders of the offence to prison custody the presiding Magistrate ignored same, hiding under the same cover of  orders from above  and remanded the 112 Mothers to prison custody and adjourned till 3rd September 2018.   WORK AT HOME HERE, MAKE COOL MONEY

IPOB Release Onwuka’s corpse to us – Zionists tell Nigerian Government

BIAFRA NEWS MEN reports that Onwuka was arrested alongside his members on Monday August 20 as they attempted to enter the Enugu Government House for the purpose of inauguration of Biafra.
However, while his followers were freed same evening, Onwuka has not been heard of ever since.  Members of the Biafra Zionists Federation, BZF, have again made claims that its leader, Barr. Benjamin Onwuka is dead.  In a press statement issued Friday morning by the Deputy Leader of the group, Mazi Ambrose Ugwu, he said every effort they had made to ascertain the whereabouts of their leader had been unfruitful.  Ugwu said from all indications, our leader, Barr. Benjamin Onwuka has been killed by security forces. WORK AT HOME, MAKE BIG MONEY ONLINE We have been at the DSS Enugu office for several times but they are silent on the matter. The very first day others were released, they even told us that Onwuka too was released. But it turned out to be a hoax.  For the past four days, we have gone there to at least give him food, but they refused us entry. So, based on the above situations, we have no further doubt that he has been killed. We are now urging the International Community, especially the United States and Israel to prevail on the Nigerian Government to release his corpse to us for a decent burial. He deserves to be accorded such burial in the light of his struggle for the people. The Buhari’s Government should direct whoever is holding the corpse to release it to the Zionists’ family to enable us pay our last respect to him.  However, we must also decry a situation where the Nigerian Security Forces are turning their arms against harmless freedom fighters whereas armed herdsmen are walking the streets unhindered. Nobody has ever seen any Zionist with a matchet, let alone a gun.
It is, therefore, the apex of oppression that we are being subjected to this level of intimidation because we are asking for freedom, which we are doing in line with all international laws and conventions.  No form of intimidation will, however, make us to to drop our right for self-determination. We can’t be forced to remain in a country where there is no justice and equity.
The disparity in handling killer herdsmen and Biafra agitators is a case in point. While the former is receiving kingly treatment, despite killing thousands of Nigerians, the latter are being subjected to all manner of torture for being civil in their approach,  he further lamented.  GOD BLESS BIAFRA LAND

They left the place, thinking that what they were told was the truth. But as it stands, he is nowhere to be found. He has not been released and nobody has been allowed to see him. Our fear is that he has been killed because they asked him to renounce Biafra like Uwazurike and IPOB did, ONLINE MONEY SYSTEM but he stood his ground  This morning, (Tuesday) we went there to give him food but we were told to go. So, we have every reason to believe that he is not alive any longer.  We, therefore, want to place the whole world, especially the United States, the Israel, and the United Nations that the South-East Governors and Ohanaeze Ndigbo should be held responsible if it is confirmed that he is dead. They collaborated to make sure that he is silenced. The DSS operatives told him that they were going to their office for a dialogue and he volunteered to follow them, but this is the outcome of it all. He is nowhere to be found  Ugwu said.  Meanwhile, the DSS is yet to issue any statement of the reported arrest. Members of the Biafra Zionists Federation, BZF, have raised fresh alarm over the whereabouts of their leader, Barr. On getting there, they separated the other members from our leader.  After several hours, they profiled them and asked them to go. When they enquired about about Onwuka, the DSS operatives told them that he has since been released and that he had left the place.

Court remands 112 IPOB women in Imo

One hundred and twelve women suspected to be members of the proscribed Independent People of Biafra were on Monday remanded in the prison custody by a magistrate’s court presided over by S.K. Durumba in Owerri, the Imo State capital. Two of the women, including a pregnant one, slumped and were rushed to an undisclosed hospital before the commencement of the court sitting.  The women, who were arraigned on eight counts, were arrested in Owerri by the operatives of the Imo State police command on Friday for demanding to know the whereabouts of the missing IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kalu, and asking the Federal Government to conduct a referendum for an independent state of Biafra.  At the commencement of the court sitting, the police prosecutor, Thaddeus Okey, told the magistrate that he was withdrawing two out of the 10 counts. The two counts that the police prosecutor withdrew bothered on allegation that the women belonged to a terrorist organisation. Some of the charges read,  That on August 17, 2018, within the Owerri magisterial district, with intent to carry out some common purpose, assembled in such a manner as to cause persons in the neighbourhood to fear on reasonable grounds that the persons so assembled will tumultuously disturb the peace and thereby committed an offence punishable under Section 70 of the Criminal Code. IPOB : Our leader, 50 members missing – Zionists

Image result for Biafra: Our leader, 50 members missing – Zionists
had earlier reported that self-acclaimed President of the group, Barr. Benjamin Onwuka and some of his followers were arrested after another failed attempt to enter the Enugu Government House. It is, however, unclear the security agency involved in the operation, as both the police and the Department of State Services, DSS, were yet to issue any statement on the development.  Members of the Biafra Zionists Federation, BZF, have claimed that no less than 50 of them are missing after an encounter with security operatives in Enugu on Monday.  However, the Deputy Leader of the group, Mazi Ambrose Ugwu has now come out to claim that their members were missing. Ugwu told journalists in Enugu that  Our people left this morning (Monday) for the Enugu Government House to foist the Biafra flag, but they were stopped on getting to close to the road to leading to the place.DSS operatives stopped them from entering the Government House. They told them to stay within the Bissala Road axis and do whatever they wanted to do. However, our leader refused, insisting that he must be allowed to enter the Government House. After a while, they brought vehicles and told them to enter, claiming that they were taking them to a place for a dialogue As we speak, we have not heard from them. As far as we are concerned, this is abduction, because they were taken to unknown place. We have gone to the State CID but they are not being detained there; we have also checked other police divisions within Enugu metropolis. We are, therefore, calling on the international community, especially, US President Donald Trump and the Prime Minister of Israel to intervene for their immediate release.  From the information I have, over 50 of them were arrested; they were not armed; they are just freedom fighters. Should anything happen to them, we will hold the South-East Governors responsible Ugwu said.
