had earlier reported that self-acclaimed President of the group, Barr. Benjamin Onwuka and some of his followers were arrested after another failed attempt to enter the Enugu Government House. It is, however, unclear the security agency involved in the operation, as both the police and the Department of State Services, DSS, were yet to issue any statement on the development. Members of the Biafra Zionists Federation, BZF, have claimed that no less than 50 of them are missing after an encounter with security operatives in Enugu on Monday. However, the Deputy Leader of the group, Mazi Ambrose Ugwu has now come out to claim that their members were missing. Ugwu told journalists in Enugu that Our people left this morning (Monday) for the Enugu Government House to foist the Biafra flag, but they were stopped on getting to close to the road to leading to the place.DSS operatives stopped them from entering the Government House. They told them to stay within the Bissala Road axis and do whatever they wanted to do. However, our leader refused, insisting that he must be allowed to enter the Government House. After a while, they brought vehicles and told them to enter, claiming that they were taking them to a place for a dialogue As we speak, we have not heard from them. We have gone to the State CID but they are not being detained there; we have also checked other police divisions within Enugu metropolis. We are, therefore, calling on the international community, especially, US President Donald Trump and the Prime Minister of Israel to intervene for their immediate release. From the information I have, over 50 of them were arrested; they were not armed; they are just freedom fighters. Should anything happen to them, we will hold the South-East Governors responsible Ugwu said.

The embattled separatist according to one of his brothers, Prince Kanu Meme, has asked his disciples to trust and comply with directives from the Directorate of State (DOS). Boasting his belief in the separatist movement’s administrative structure, Kanu said “I’m DOS and DOS is me”. Naija News understands that the DOS, headed by diaspora-based Chika Edoziem has been contending with authority issues since Kanu’s arrest in Kenya in June 2021. It has been observed that IPOB is in disintegration following Nnamdi Kanu’s rearrest and detention. The present situation of the Biafran movement can be likened to that of sheep without a shepherd. However, Kanu in a conversation with his sib...
