Biafra: Focus on achieving Igbo nation through referendum – Ohanaeze to agitators

The Ohanaeze Youth Council, OYC, has called on agitators from the South East to focus on the 2018 Biafra restoration through the universally accepted peaceful referendum.
OYC gave the call while advising agitators to discard rumour of Federal Government’s plan to establish a military barracks in Afara-Ukwu, Abia State, the country home of Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB.
The body’s stance was contained in a statement signed by its National Vice President, Comrade Obinna Achionye.
Achionye also admonished the Federal Government to urgently rebuild the Palace of Eze Israel Kanu of Afara Ukwu, father of Kanu, allegedly destroyed last September when soldiers raided it in search of the IPOB leader.
The youths said rebuilding the palace could go a long way in assuaging the anger of the community on the illegal invasion of the community by soldiers.
The statement reads, “After our investigation, we assure IPOB that there is no iota of truth on the planned establishment of a mini military barracks in Afara.
“Though we are not holding forth for Federal Government or Abia state Government on the issue, but it is high time we reconcile with all agitators and heal the wounds of Python Dance which left many Igbo youths dead, many Igbo youths are still in the morgue and we are worried of how they will be buried.
“Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Council worldwide will always defend the interest of Ndigbo, especially from any external aggression and our collective enemies.
“We still call on all Biafra agitators to focus on the 2018 Biafra restoration through the universally accepted peaceful referendum, and never be distracted by rumours peddlers.
“Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youths Council Worldwide will do anything peaceful to ensure that our youths are not victims of military brutality.
“We call on the Federal Government to rebuild the Palace of HRM Eze Israel Kanu, whose traditional palace was wrongfully destroyed during the operation Python Dance, and urge Abia state Government never to be distracted in their efforts to rebuild Abia and call on Governor Ikpeazu to be the father of all in Abia”.

Biafra: What Nnamdi Kanu should have done – Jonathan’s former aide, Omokri

Reno Omokri, former aide to immediate past president, Goodluck Jonathan, on Friday revealed what Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, should have done.
Omokri said the elusive IPOB leader should have created a political party in the South East and use it to push for the void of his people.
Sharing a report of Catalan separatists wining absolute parliamentary majority, Omokri said Kanu should have mastered the act of politics through a political party.
In a tweet via his Twitter handle, the former presidential aide, said the IPOB leader should never have dared President Muhammadu Buhari.
The United States, US-based Pastor also stressed that the Biafra agitator” should never have talked violence. ”
The tweet reads, “This is what IPOB should have done. Form a political party and win all the Gubernatorial and House of Assembly seats in the SE.
“Kanu should never have talked violence or dared Buhari. He would have won by mastering the game then using it to advance his people’s cause peacefully.”

Biafra: IGP, Idris Warns Policemen Against IPOB Idris charges policemen to avoid trouble during the festive periods.

The Inspector-General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, has warned policemen against associating with the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, saying they should be wary of “those who do not mean well for the country.”
Idris said this in Abuja on Thursday during a meeting with Squadron Commanders of the Police Mobile Force and the Counter-Terrorism Unit.
He said, “I am directing you to keep away from people that do not mean well for this country to avoid putting yourselves in trouble.
“Every police officer must remain loyal to his service, government and citizens of this country,

especially those serving in the South-East.
“As much as possible, keep a distance from IPOB and other illegal organisations. Don’t allow any of them to penetrate you to work against this country in any way at all,” the IG cautioned the officers.”
“I know that in the past, some police officers were seen taking pictures with him (Kanu). I believe it is not in the interest of this country to associate yourselves with somebody that came out openly to say he wants the country divided.
“These are very serious issues and I want the men to keep a distance from them because they don’t mean well,” Idris added.

The police Boss also spoke on why the meeting was organised, saying, “I decided to arrange this meeting because I believe that in the coming months, the PMF is going to be tasked with the responsibility of ensuring that law and order is maintained all over the country.”
“We are now in December and from January next year, it would be a period with highest forms of legal and illegal activities and I believe it is crucial that I summon all of you to ensure that your mind is prepared to provide security for this country.”

“There are issues that are bothering this country right now, there is a beehive of political activities and this calls for professionalism from all police officers serving in this country.
“With the political activities, people would try to infiltrate you to get your support by indulging yourself in unwholesome activities,” he said.

Biafra: Buhari is Nigeria’s last president – MASSOB

Movement for the Actualisation of the Sovereign State of Biafra, MASSOB, has said President Muhammadu Buhari is the last president of Nigeria.
MASSOB also boasted that Nigeria would definitely collapse in 2019.
Leader of the group, Uchenna Madu, in a statement he personally signed said while politicians worked towards 2019 election, Biafra agitators would be carrying out referendum.
Madu also said the current fuel scarcity in Nigeria was aimed at punishing Christians and Igbos travelling to their homeland.
Madu noted that no matter the level of stigmatisation, subjections, mesmerisation, intimidations and economic sabotage against Igbos and Christians, the group will never succumb to pressures of oppressors.

According to Madu, “The governance styles and policies, including the ethno -religious sentiments of President Buhari-led federal government is the worst in the fragile history of Nigeria.
“MASSOB is truly comfortable with the present system because it justifies and eulogises our self-determination struggle for Biafra actualisation and restoration.
“MASSOB also disagrees with President Buhari that Nigeria has survived. Nigeria can never survive the heat of Biafra as long the people of Biafra and Christians are being oppressed and religiously stigmatised.
“We also wish to remind President Buhari that he still remains the last president of united Nigeria because Nigeria will certainly collapse in 2019.
“In 2018, as politicians are planning and warming up for the 2019 general elections, the coalition of Biafra agitators will be executing the Biafra referendum programmes, even leading agitators of restructuring of Nigeria state will add more value.”

Biafra: MASSOB, IPOB were formed to defraud Igbos – Eze Ezewuiro

Eze Soronnadi Nwabueze Ezewuiro, Mayor of Igbo Nation in Diaspora, has declared that the Movement for the Actualisation of the Sovereign State of Biafra, MASSOB, and the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, are non-Governmental Organisations, NGOs, set up to defraud Igbos.
Ezewuiro maintained that people involved in promoting the groups and Biafra ideology have nothing to do with the interest of Igbos in Nigeria.
Speaking with journalists in Calabar, the Cross River State capital, Ezewuiro lamented that most members of the groups are illiterate.
According to Ezewuiro, “IPOB and MASSOB are NGOs set up by some individual to scam Ndigbo. They only added the ideology of Biafria to their struggle to get followership and platform to scam more people both home and abroad.
“The two organizations are the private NGO of certain individuals and have absolutely nothing to do with the collective interest of the Igbos in the country.
“It’s unfortunate to note that the people who are following the leaders of these organizations are illiterates who are carried away by false propaganda.
“Biafra soldiers are rotting away at Oji River in Enugu State and the so called proponents of Biafra are making money from traders and then doing nothing to rehabilitate these people.
“Mr. Ralph Uwazuirike set up his personal NGO and called MASSOB claiming to be crusading the interest of the so called Biafra in the South South, South East.
“MASSOB was his personal NGO which he was using to skim and obtain money from our people overseas who have not come home for some time now”.

Biafra: Why we dragged Buhari’s govt to AU – IPOB

The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) said it has taken its matter against the Federal government under the leadership of President Muhammadu Buhari to the African Union Human Rights Commission.
The group said it decided to do so, given that it has become clear that it would not get justice in any Nigerian court, or in ECOWAS court where judges were afraid to enter judgment against the president.
A statement by its media and publicity secretary, Emma Powerful, made available to DAILY POST in Awka, revealed that the commission has also written back to acknowledge receipt of the petition to it by IPOB.
The group commended AU for the prompt reply, while calling on it to ensure full investigation into the abduction of its leader, Nnamdi Kanu from his house months back.
“We commend African Union Human Right Commission for their prompt acknowledgement of the petition submitted to them by IPOB team of lawyers. This petition became necessary as a means to explore other legal remedies outside Nigeria given that due process of law is virtually non-existent in the country under the current Buhari administration.
“Against the backdrop of well documented incidents of human rights abuses by the Nigerian Government and her security operatives, it has become necessary to escalate the matter to African Union given that both ECOWAS and Nigerian courts are terrified to rule against the Buhari regime in any matter concerning Biafra.
“We hope and pray that Africa Court on Human Rights will prove to be the opposite of ECOWAS and Nigerian courts where the presidency determines every legal outcome or which judgement to obey or ignore,” the IPOB spokesman noted.

Biafra: Ohanaeze reveals how Buhari has disappointed Igbo people

National Publicity Secretary of the organisation, Prince Uche Achi-Okpaga made the remark while faulting his silence at the activities of Fulani herdsmen killing and raping Nigerians.
Achi-Okpaga insisted that since 1983 when Buhari was Nigeria’s military Head of State, he has never been fair to people of the South East.
Speaking with Punch, he said Buhari’s last minute consideration of Igbos for appointment was “a political gimmick to keep them in suspense in lieu of 2019.”

Achi-Okpaga said, “The President’s attitude, interest or concerns for the Ndigbo is visibly cosmetic. Yes! No matter how he, or any of his political foot soldiers, may want to defend it.
“His last minute consideration of Ndigbo for appointments is a political gimmick to keep them in suspense in lieu of 2019. Bear in mind it is just consideration for now, not appointment yet.
“I have never observed any fairness from Buhari towards Ndigbo since his days as military head of state in 1983 up till now.
“Buhari disappointed the Igbo when he quickly deployed soldiers with armoured tanks against our youths who were exercising their fundamental human rights and yet he was reluctant to address the case of his Fulani herdsmen, who are still raping women in tens and hundreds, killing and pulverising farms and villages.
“Yet the Federal Government is said to be encouraging agriculture. What an antithesis! When your source of livelihood is destroyed, you are, as described in the Holy Bible in the book of Revelation, living but you are dead.
“The Federal Government can negotiate with the world acclaimed second deadliest terrorist group, Boko Haram, but cannot negotiate with the lgbo youths who were merely throwing tantrums and asking for a better standard of living.
“Is the Buhari government fair to the Ndigbo when it stopped work on the second Niger Bridge? Is the President fair to us when he looked the other way while officials of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission embarrassed, harassed and arrested the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Innoson Group, Chief Innocent Chukwuma, over a matter that was pending in court? What of the hurried arrest of Senator Pius Anyim while a former Secretary to the Government of the Federation like him who was said to have ‘re-grassed the desert’ was first given a clean bill by the nation’s chief law officer, before he was subsequently indicted by the Senate and the Vice President’s panel?”
