BIAFRA NEWS : Falana's Comment That #EndSARS Violence Was Instigated By Nigerian Govt Exposes Wrong Accusations Against Nnamdi Kanu — Lawyer, Ejimakor

The Nigerian government through the former Attorney-General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, had alleged that Nnamdi Kanu took advantage of the #EndSARS protests in 2020 to create mayhem leading to the death of several security agents.

The Nigerian government through the former Attorney-General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, had alleged that Nnamdi Kanu took advantage of the #EndSARS protests in 2020 to create mayhem leading to the death of several security agents.

The former AGF disclosed that Kanu seized the protests through subversive and inciting statements.

He had said, "Despite the proscription of IPOB by the Federal Government, Nnamdi Kanu continued the subversive campaign, instigating and inciting broadcasts to direct members of the IPOB to launch attacks on government.

"The EndSARS protests of October 2020 played into the sinister plans of Nnamdi Kanu, whereby he seized the protests through subversive and inciting online broadcasts and actively commanded and directed attacks on security personnel and facilities."

However, human rights lawyer, Femi Falana, SAN, on Wednesday night when he appeared on Channels TV, said the government should be held responsible for the violence that occurred during the #ENDSARS protests.

Reacting to Falana, Ejimakor said his client had been finally exonerated from the "derogatory accusation levelled against him by Malami."

He wrote: “In 2021, former AGF Malami had blamed the #EndSARS violence solely on MAZI NNAMDI KANU & #IPOB. This was also the major reason they criminally renditioned #MNK & subjected him to the ongoing #UnfairTrial. Today, Femi Falana (SAN) has exposed their wicked lies. Case closed.”

IPOB: The Nigerian Civil War, commonly known as the Biafran War

THE HISTORY OF BIAFRA AND NIGERIA WAR  Israel, Nigeria and the Biafra civil war    The Nigerian Civil War , commonly known as the Biafran War (6 July 1967 – 15 January 1970), was a war fought between the government of Nigeria and the secessionist state of Biafra. Biafra represented nationalist aspirations of the Igbo people, whose leadership felt they could no longer coexist with the Northern-dominated federal government. The conflict resulted from political, economic, ethnic, cultural and religious tensions which preceded Britain's formal decolonization of Nigeria from 1960 to 1963. Immediate causes of the war in 1966 included a military coup, a counter-coup and persecution of Igbo living in Northern Nigeria. Control over the lucrative oil production in the Niger Delta played a vital strategic role. Within a year, the Federal Government troops surrounded Biafra, capturing coastal oil facilities and the city of Port Harcourt. The blockade imp...
