Lee Collins, captain of English club side, Yeovil Town is dead

 

English club side, Yeovil Town captain, Lee Collins is dead. He died at the age of 32.

Before joining Yeovil two years ago, Collins played for Wolves, Port Vale, Barnsley, Northampton, Mansfield as well as Forest Green.

Yeovil was preparing to play Altrincham on Friday night but the match has now been postponed.

In a statement on Friday, Yeovil confirmed the sad news saying, “All at Yeovil Town Football Club are mourning the loss of club captain Lee Collins.

“Lee sadly passed away yesterday and our thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends.

“Lee Collins made 35 appearances for Yeovil Town the last of which came on February 6.

“We ask everyone to respect the family’s privacy at this time. The club will make no further comment at this time.

“Our game with Altrincham tomorrow has been postponed.”
