BUSINESS : Abia govt warns against indiscriminate licensing, siting of business activities

 

Abia State Government has expressed strong aversion to the indiscriminate licensing and siting of business activities at highly flammable and dangerous outlets in the State.

The state government said this while reacting to the explosion which occurred at Royal Lounge of Cookies Fast Food behind Richpond Petrol Station by Brass/Okigwe Road Aba

A statement by the Secretary to Abia State Government, Barr Chris Ezem warned that appropriate Licensing authorities must desist from issuance of operational license for business activities at such volatile areas.

Ezem further stated that defaulters to the directive would face the full weight of the Law.

“The general public and law enforcement agencies are to note for compliance.”
