Today, February 14, 2020, Valentine’s Day, the bodies of the parents of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, will be laid to rest in Abia State, southeast Nigeria.
This online news platform had reported earlier that the parents of the IPOB leader, late HRH Eze Israel Okwu Kanu and his wife late Ugoeze Sally Nmeme Okwu-Kanu will be buried on Valentine’s day, Friday, February 14, 2020.
Naija News reports that ahead of the burial ceremony, the governor of Abia State, southeast Nigeria, Okezie Ikpeazu, has directed the state ministry of works to ensure the immediate reconstruction of Eze I. O. Kanu road in Afaraukwu Ibeku, Umuahia North Local Government Area (LGA).
Speaking on Radio Biafra during a live broadcast, Kanu threatened to kill the children of the Chief of Army Staff, Tukur Buratai and that of the Commissioner of Police in Abia State,  Ene Okon, if any IPOB member is injured or killed during the burial ceremony of his parents.
We shall be bringing live reports from Afaraukwu, the hometown of Nnamdi Kanu in Abia State where the burial ceremony of Nnamdi Kanu’s parents will be taking place today Friday, February 14, 2020.
1:30 PM: Traditional rulers from Okpobo, Nembe, Ogoni, Ijaw, Isoko and Kwale in Rivers, Delta State, Cross River and Akwa Ibom states, on the ground to pay last respect to Nnamdi Kanu’s parents.

1:04 PM: Nnamdi Kanu parents’ remains arrive Umuahia North Local Government Council in Abia State for their final rest. The bodies were received at the council headquarters by the Abia State Council of Traditional Rulers, the transition committee chairman of the LGA and many prominent stakeholders who were on ground to honour the Late Kanus.
12 noon: The bodies of Nnamdi Kanu’s parents moved from the mortuary to Umuahia North Local Government Council in Abia State and will later be moved to his father’s compound in Afraukwu where they will be laid to rest later today.
7:04 AM: Burial ground of Nnamdi Kanu’s parents ready ahead of their burial later today.

6:00 AM (Friday, February 14): No sign of Nnamdi Kanu in Nigeria as the burial ceremony of his late parents hold today in Abia State.
7:00 PM (Thursday, February 13 ): Nnamdi Kanu addresses Biafrans ahead of the burial ceremony. Kanu addressed Biafrans in a live broadcast on Radio Biafra.
8:05 AM (Thursday, February 13 ): Governor of Abia State Okezie Ikpeazu arrived Afarukwu, the hometown of Nnamdi Kanu, to inspect the ongoing project in the community. Governor Ikpeazu did not make any comment.

9:30 AM (Thursday, February 13 ): Jewish worshippers arrive the residence of Nnamdi Kanu’s father on Thursday ahead of his parents’ burial today, Friday.
