BIAFRA : Buhari reportedly summons Fayemi, Makinde, Abiodun, other South West Governors over new security outfit

Report reaching DAILY POST from Ibadan, the Oyo state capital indicates that President Muhammadu Buhari has summoned the six governors from the South West region to a meeting at Aso Rock.
DAILY POST gathered that the summon is connected with the launch of a new security outfit code-named Amotekun by the six governors.
It was gathered that the six governors, Seyi Makinde (Oyo), Gboyega Oyetola (Osun) Dapo Abiodun (Ogun) Rotimi Akeredolu (Ondo), Kayode Fayemi (Ekiti) and Babajide Sanwo-Olu (Lagos) had last year agreed to establish a security outfit that will put a stop to the insecurity situation in the region.
DAILY POST gathered that Buhari has summoned the Governors to a meeting over the launch of the new security outfit billed to take place tomorrow (Thursday) in Ibadan, the Oyo state capital.
The launching will be presided over by Ondo State Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu who is the Chairman, Southwest Governors’ Forum.
Sources told DAILY POST that the Presidency asked the six governors to attend a meeting at Aso Rock Wednesday evening to discuss the details of Amotekun and why it should be allowed to fly.
The outfit, our correspondent gathered, is a local collaborative security agency jointly established by Oyo, Lagos, Ogun, Ondo, Ekiti and Osun states.
Its idea generated from a security summit organized by the Development Agenda for Western Nigeria (DAWN) Commission in July at the wake of heightened kidnapping and armed robbery mostly on highways in the region.
Its personnel will include members of the vigilante group in each state, security experts and conventional security agencies including the police and the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC). They are to gather intelligence and effect arrest where relevant, with the overall goal of improving security in the region.
However, all efforts made by DAILY POST to confirm the development proved abortive.
Calls put through telephone lines of Chief Press Secretaries to Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo state, Mr. Taiwo Adisa and Governor Gboyega Oyetola, Mr. Ismail Omipidan were not answered.
Also, messages sent to the duo asking them to indicate if their principals have been summoned have not been replied as of the time of filing this report.

IPOB: The Nigerian Civil War, commonly known as the Biafran War

THE HISTORY OF BIAFRA AND NIGERIA WAR  Israel, Nigeria and the Biafra civil war    The Nigerian Civil War , commonly known as the Biafran War (6 July 1967 – 15 January 1970), was a war fought between the government of Nigeria and the secessionist state of Biafra. Biafra represented nationalist aspirations of the Igbo people, whose leadership felt they could no longer coexist with the Northern-dominated federal government. The conflict resulted from political, economic, ethnic, cultural and religious tensions which preceded Britain's formal decolonization of Nigeria from 1960 to 1963. Immediate causes of the war in 1966 included a military coup, a counter-coup and persecution of Igbo living in Northern Nigeria. Control over the lucrative oil production in the Niger Delta played a vital strategic role. Within a year, the Federal Government troops surrounded Biafra, capturing coastal oil facilities and the city of Port Harcourt. The blockade imp...
