As you know, since the police accused Barrister Ejiofor and unnamed IPOB members of being behind the twin murder of ACP Oliver Abbey and SP Joseph Akubo, DPA commenced discrete investigation to try to: (1) determine if Ejiofor was involved and, if not, (2) who actually did it. While we could not answer the No (2) question, our investigation was able to answer the No. (1) in the negative. We are relying mostly on the the theory of impossibility.
This morning after a final meeting between our investigators and researchers, we can fairly conclude that Barrister Ejiofor has no hand in the killing of the officers. Many factors led us to this conclusion. Among them are:
(1) There seems to be evidence to show a well planned plot to silence IPOB through Ejiofor. Motive is partly local and partly external to politics within the Oraifite community. That plan seems to be to implicate Ejiofor and IPOB in a high profile murder and in the process deeply antagonize IPOB and security agencies.
(2) There is no indication that Ejiofor had any motive to kill the officers, or that he had the means to do so.
(3) The IPOB boys around Ejiofor did not have a motive or the opportunity to carry out the crime either. Those that killed the officers must have had the capacity to subdue a team of police officers in an ambush, and were well armed for such operation. IPOB boys in Oraifite lacked that force capacity.
(4) According to our investigation, the officers seemed to have been attacked and subdued at a location different from where their vehicle was set on fire. Their hands appear to have been tied behind their backs, which suggests they were not killed immediately. There is no evidence that the IPOB boys were present at the point if ambush or at the place the police vehicle was set on fire. The only logical point contact between police and IPOB boys was at Ejiofor's house.
(5) The burning of the houses of Ejiofor three days after the officers died shows vendetta and personal animus directed at Ejiofor.
(6) The planners knew it would be easy to implicate Ejiofor in this kind of plot because his exposure to the largely unemployed exuberant and loud-mouthed youth who form the bulk of IPOB members could be a good alibi to easily tie them to a crime.
The big question remains: Who actually killed the policemen. DPA is not sure. However, whoever did it is connected to at least one of the coordinated motives mentioned above.
DPA has more hunches and theories that could crack this crime. But we have learnt from Chacha's case. It is highly dangerous to volunteer your intellect and resources to help the Nigerian police when the mission of the police is not clear. So, we shall not do more than try to stop the persecution of an innocent man.
The case of Ejiofor may be designed along the plot line of the Otokoto case in Owerri, for those of you old enough to remember.
One may wonder why kill two police officers just to get at Ejiofor? Why not just kill Ejiofor? But maybe it is because the aim is also to kill IPOB. These are some important details that we cannot explain now.
NOTE: In view of the ironically wicked role Ejiofor played along with David Aiyedegbon and the police to falsely implicate DPA Founder in a fabricated murder charge, many of you must be surprised to see DPA doing anything that will help Ejiofor. It is painful. But this is exactly what makes us different. We must not sink to the bottom along with anyone. We must not allow Ejiofor to set the standard for us to follow. Rather, we have our own standards. We will stand for the truth and our core beliefs.
But we really need to be careful, our analysis of the case shows a determination to eliminate Ejiofor by some state actors. The plot may have gone too far for it to be rolled back. And it will seem highly risky for Ejiofor to surrender to a police force that is not neutral.
