  Aloy Ejimakor, the Special Counsel to Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, has described the Biafra agitator as a victim of false imprisonment by the state. Ejimakor made the remark while stressing that Kanu was not under any charge before any court. He noted that Kanu’s fate does not lie with the appeal before the Supreme court alone. In a statement he signed, Ejimakor reiterated that Kanu’s release was not an act of mercy.   The Representative of the State Of Texas District 139 in the United States (US) House of Representatives, Jarvis Johnson, has accused the Muhammadu Buhari-led administration of plotting to assassinate the leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) , Nnamdi Kanu. Johnson, in a letter to the US Congress, appealed to his colleagues to intervene urgently and urge the Nigerian government to release the detained leader of the pro-Biafra group. Johnson’s letter, which was dated May 10, 2023, and marked, ‘Re: Appeal for Your Urgent Intervention in Urging the Government of Nigeria to Release Nnamdi Kanu from his Extraordinary Rendition, was made available on Thursday by the special counsel to IPOB leader, Aloy Ejimakor.   Popular Biafra agitator, Simon Ekpa has debunked claims made by an American lawyer, Bruce Fein, alleging that Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, is displeased with the Biafra Republic Government in Exile. In a quick rejoinder to the purported claims, through his official Twitter handle on Tuesday, Ekpa, the Finland-based lawyer who doubled as the Prime Minister of BRGIE, said Mazi Kanu is happy with the movement’s achievements. He described Fein as a fake representative that has not achieved anything for Biafra in the past two years. Ekpa noted that over 70 million people, including himself, fully support Nnamdi Kanu and the quest to achieve Biafra.   President Bola Tinubu has been urged to ignore the ignominy of his predecessor, ex-President Muhammadu Buhari and release Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB.   The arrowhead of the Biafra Independence Movement, BIM, Chief Ralph Uwazuruike, has tasked the United Nations, to avoid playing double standards on the issue of Biafra independence. Uwazuruike, who gave the advice via a press statement signed by his Director of Information and Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Mazi Chris Anierobi Mocha, also maintained that “the struggle for independence from Nigeria, is still on course”. BIAFRA NEWS : Supreme Court must set Nnamdi Kanu free – IPOB

  The Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, has expressed hope that the Supreme Court would set its leader, Nnamdi Kanu free. IPOB made the remark while stressing that Kanu did not commit any offence. The group urged its followers to be circumspective in their movement ahead of Kanu’s trial. Emma Powerful, the spokesman of IPOB, lamented that the group’s enemies alerted security agents to attack its members.
