Release ‘Biafran youths’ detained or face our wrath – IPOB threatens Southeast govs

  The Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, on Sunday called on Southeast governors to release all “Biafran youths” in detention across the region. IPOB said failure to ensure the release of these youths, Southeast governors would face the wrath of the people of the region. S/East traditional rulers, Igbo bishops commend IPOB, make demands on Kanu’s trial

  South East Council of Traditional Rulers and the Representatives of Igbo Archbishops and Bishops have commended the Nnamdi Kanu-led Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, for allowing the Anambra State governorship election to hold peacefully. The group in a statement signed by His Grace, Most Rev. Anthony Obinna, His Majesty, Igwe Nnaemeka Achebe, and His Grace, Most Rev. (Dr) Chibuzo Raphael Opoko, JP, also commended IPOB for listening to its appeal by calling off the Monday sit-at-home order. “This has offered some relief to the already distressed social and economic life of our people,” the group said.   The Federal Government-proscribed pro-Biafra State group, the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, has said that its cancelled Monday’s sit-at-home order remained cancelled, and that anyone or group enforcing it must be treated as criminals.   The Director General of the Bureau of Public Enterprises, Alex Okoh, on Wednesday reacted to the allegation that the Federal Government was planning to sell the Biafra War Museum and the bunker used by Biafra warlord, Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu-Ojukwu. ’ He reacted to the development when he appeared before the Senate Committee on Privatisation and Commercialisation. Only Nnamdi Kanu can initiate dialogue for a Biafra nation’

  Aloy Ejimakor, counsel to Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), has said that it is only his client that possesses “the vires to lead any dialogue.” Ejimakor insisted that Kanu, a Biafra separatist leader, must be released by Nigerian authorities before any sort of dialogue can start.  “Nobody can initiate any dialogue until Onyendu #Kanu is released.
