Miss World congratulates Andrea Meza on Miss Universe win, biafra news

  The Miss World Organization took to social media to congratulate Andrea Meza of Mexico for winning the 69th Miss Universe pageant. Before competing in Miss Universe, Meza joined Miss World in 2017, finishing first runner-up to Manushi Chhillar of India.  "Congratulations, Andrea!" read the post on the Miss World Facebook page, referring to the beauty queen as its Miss World Americas 2017. It went on to reveal that Meza earlier joined her fellow Miss World 2017 queens on a "global humanitarian tour" that included stops in India, China, Indonesia, British Virgin Islands, and the United States. The Miss World Organization also congratulated Julia Gama for her first runner-up placement in the recently concluded Miss Universe competition.   Enugu Police Command has denied claims it arrested 57 pro-Biafra agitators in Enugu, the state capital on Sunday.  THE RESTORATION OF BIAFRA NATION Some agitators, who are members of the Benjamin Onwuka-led Biafra Zionists Federation (BZF), had on Sunday claimed policemen from Ogui Division stormed their meeting venue and whisked them away. In a message he sent out on Sunday, leader of the group, Onwuka said: “They arrested 57 of our members this morning. We were preparing to go for our Biafra parade. “We are non-violent people, we are peaceful agitators. They should be released immediately, unconditionally, without charge, they committed no crime. “We have informed the United States of this development.” But in a swift reaction, Enugu Police spokesman, ASP Daniel Ndukwe, denied arresting the agitators.   IPOB Sit-at-home: Condemnations trail Nnamdi Kanu’s threat to South-east residents  Mr Kanu threatened death to anyone who fails to observe the sit-at-home order. Condemnations have trailed the threat issued to people of South-east by the leader of Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu on the sit-at-home order. Mr Kanu had in a broadcast declared that the sit-at-home will commence 6p.m. on Saturday till 6p.m. on Monday. He said the order is compulsory and must be obeyed by all the people in the region. He warned that anyone seen outside will be killed. “From 6p.m. on the 29th, there will be no movement, this is not sit-at-home but no movement. If you are found outside from 6p.m. you are dead,” he said.
