BIAFRA : 2019 Why we’re working for Buhari’s re-election – Igbo group

The group, in a press briefing by its coordinator, Mr Chido Obidiegwu, an aide of Governor Willie Obiano, said it had taken time to make proper evaluation of the options available to Ndigbo in the coming presidential election and concluded that President Buhari was way better an option.   He said, “One-on-One Nigeria is an independent network of ndi Igbo determined to achieve Igbo Presidency by returning President Buhari for second term.   President Muhammadu Buhari’s support group, One-on-One Nigeria has stated that its support for the president was to quicken the attainment of a president of Igbo extraction.  “This, we do through a massive awareness campaign to convince ndi Igbo that four years of President Buhari is better than eight years of any other person, we hope to achieve this dream via a project Tagged 4 Is Better Than 8.”    The group argued that the Igbo pitched tents with President Jonathan and humiliated President Buhari in the zone ...

Femi Fani-Kayode: Are you Buhari or Jubril?

Some are convinced by these words from the man who says he is Buhari but there are still many who, like the biblical Thomas, have their doubts. I can hardly blame them because a clone will not say that he is a clone and neither will a body-double say he is a body-double.   “One of the questions that came up today in my meeting with Nigerians in Poland was on the issue of whether I‘ve been cloned or not. The ignorant rumors are not surprising. When I was away on medical vacation last year a lot of people hoped I was dead. I can assure you all that this is the real me!”- President Muhammadu Buhari, 2nd December, Krakow, Poland.   It is in the same way that a vampire will not say he is a vampire, a tyrant will not say he is a tryrant, a genocidal maniac will not say he is a genocidal maniac and a mass murderer will not say he is a mass murderer. And neither will an ethnic supremacist or religious bigot ever admit to being an ethnic supremacist or a religious big...

Buhari: l’ll no longer complain about the problems I inherited

He said Boko Haram insurgents have been able to launch attacks in recent months because “they know the area more than the soldiers”.  Buhari said: “Those in the north-east will tell you that before we came, the so-called Boko Haram used to hold about 17 local governments. Now, physically, they are not holding any local government. So they have resorted to real guerilla tactics of hit and run.  “They mobilise, hit targets and then disappear again because they know the area more than the soldiers that are defending them. Our soldiers are from Port Harcourt, Lagos, Sokoto, but they are locally there and know the terrain more than the soldiers.” Buhari said he “asked for it” by relentlessly vying for office four times before emerging president in 2015.  He made the comments while speaking with a cross-section of Nigerians in Poland on the sidelines of the global summit on Climate Change.    The president said: “We inherited so many problems.
