The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, has spoken of how he managed to escape from Nigeria.     nnamdi kanu Mr. Kanu, who spoke in an interview with an Isreali TV Station posted on YouTube on Monday, said his relatives helped him out of the country. It is Israel’s responsibility to ensure Biafra stands –Kanu

The leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu, has stated that Isreal has a responsibility to ensure that Biafra stands as an independent nation in Africa. He said this in an interview moderated by one Adam Rotbard on an unidentified Israeli television station and shared on the interviewer’s Facebook page. He said, “Israel has to live up to their obligation to defend Judaism and Jewish faith all over the world. We are being persecuted. We are suffering as a people and I believe it is the responsibility of Israel to make sure that Biafra stands as an independent entity in Africa.”  Kanu claims that over 50 million Igbo people practice Judaism. Nnamdi Kanu reveals people who helped him escape from Nigeria

Kanu revealed this in an interview with Israeli TV Channel 1. IPOB was the target of a Nigerian Army operation code-named Operation Python Dance, launched in the South-East.   Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), has claimed that he was “smuggled out” of Nigeria, with the help of his relatives.   During an operation, around Kanu’s residence in Umuahia, Abia state, 28 people were killed while the IPOB leader went missing. When I came out (of prison), I continued to preach to my people. I continued to practise my Jewish religion. And one day, the Nigerian army came to my house to kill me. They killed 28 people in their attempt to kill me.   My people evacuated me before they came to my bedroom. They took me away and smuggled me out of Nigeria. IPOB Leader, Nnamdi Kanu Stranded In Israel. See Why

The embattled leader of the  Indigenous People of Biafra ,  Nnamdi Kanu , may have  been stranded in Israel, following his failure to use the travel document that would have enabled him to move to the United Kingdom. It was learnt that the Biafran leader failed to utilise the Emergency Travel Document provided for him by the British authorities until the document expired.   The UK High Commission in Abuja on Saturday told Punch, on inquiries over role in Kanu’s escape to Jerusalem.   The UK High Commission Senior Communications Officer, Tinu Adelegan,  “I’m afraid there’s very little we can say about this for consular confidentiality. All we have done is provided an ETD to a British person who asked for one in Israel, which he has not used and has now expired.”   It could not be ascertained why Kanu, a British citizen, needed an ETD to travel to the UK. Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, says President Muhammadu Buhari is dead, adding that the Nigerian leader has already been buried in Saudi Arabia.  Kanu, who recently surfaced in Israel and has been vocal lately, lambasted those against Biafra in a new audio released on Sunday. Kanu said that when he came out from prison, President Muhammadu Buhari asked him what he wanted but he told him that he wanted them to open Igwuocha (Port Harcourt) seaport, Warri seaport, Calabar airport, and dredge River Niger.    Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, has called for the boycott of the 2019 general  elections.  Kanu also said he told Buhari that he wanted 100 per cent resource control but never heard from the presidency again.    Why do they want me dead? In a statement issued and made available to DAILY POST, the BNYL leader said the selection of Obi was a plot to deceive the South East into helping to extend the  Fulani rule  over Nigeria.  The Biafra Nations Youth League, BNYL, has insisted that the South East will  not give block votes to the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar because he picked Peter Obi as his running mate.
