BIAFRA NEWS : Military has turned Nnamdi Kanu, parents into ghosts – Family

The family, speaking through Prince Emmanuel Kanu, called on the military to tell them where their parents and son, Nnamdi are. Family of the leader of Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu has expressed anger and worry over the conflicting reports concerning his whereabouts. Ever since soldiers invaded the house of the Kanus late last year, both the IPOB leader and his parents had not been seen or heard of. Spokesman of the family, Prince Emma Kanu made the call yesterday following fresh rumours making the rounds that Nnamdi Kanu and his parents had been traced to Ghana and Umuahia respectively. Emma said, “If the military knows Nnamdi Kanu and my parents’ whereabouts, they better let us know and provide them without delay. If they know where they are, they should go and bring them, it’s as simple as that. How come my parents are with us in Umuahia and we cannot see or communicate with them? It’s impossible; they know what they are doing. “Is it not t...

BIAFRA : My worry is how to achieve Biafra – Ikedife

Ikedife said what bothered him was how the Biafran State could be realized, adding that the Igbo had been victims of unfulfilled promises in the past. The Convener of South-East Elders Forum, SEEF, and former President General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Dr Dozie Ikedife, has said he is not bothered about an Igbo man becoming Nigeria’s President in 2019 or after. Speaking with the Sun over the weekend, Ikedife said, “There are so many unfulfilled promises and our people often fall victims to lies. “If someone has deceived you for about two or three times, if he comes the fourth time you will have a second thought. One is just tired of this country.” “What bothers me is how to realise Biafra through legal and diplomatic processes, and through dialogue without fighting or abusing anybody. That’s my position,” Ikedife said.

TODAY NEWS ; The Queen should put pressure on Nigeria's government to respect the people of Biafra

BIAFRA NEWS My mother and father, my older brother Nnamdi Kanu and I were in the house, along with friends. It was my son’s thirteenth birthday. I had just been on the phone congratulating him when the first gas canisters were thrown over the fence followed by gunfire. It was 4pm. The house was surrounded by Nigerian soldiers. It happened on the afternoon of 14 September last year, 2017. I had come back to visit my family home in Biafra a few weeks earlier from Germany, where I now live. I call it Biafra because Biafra is my country, not Nigeria. I found it hard to breathe. Everyone was panicking. I was witnessing a full on military attack on my parents’ home. I saw a soldier jump over the high fence that surrounds our house and open our main gate. He started shooting at the young men inside. That was when I realised if I didn’t escape now I would die.   There were soldiers and guns everywhere. How I got out only heaven knows. I rem...
