IPOB Reveals Vampires Behind Genocide, Mayhem In South-East

Biafra: IPOB Reveals Vampires Behind Genocide, Mayhem In South-East

The outlawed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has accused the Nigerian Army of carrying out extrajudicial killings and sponsoring insecurity in the southeast region.

The pro-Biafra group stated this in reaction to a statement by the army claiming IPOB  and its militia arm, the Eastern Security Network are responsible for the killings in the region.

In a statement by its spokesperson, Emma Powerful, the group stated that soldiers afraid of fighting Boko Haram in the north are masterminds of the killings in the southeast.

According to Powerful: “Following the frustration of the Nigeria military deployed to the South East, and their claim that IPOB and ESN are responsible for the numerous attacks, killings and burning down of people’s properties worth billions in the region, we the global movement and family of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), wish to tell the world that there is no iota of truth in such fabricated allegation.

“It is rather the Nigeria military and their sister security agencies that are masterminding the ongoing secret genocide and mayhem in South East. It’s quite unfortunate that after committing these atrocities, these vampires cleverly point accusing fingers at IPOB just to cover their flanks and deceive the gullible.

“Nigeria Army is afraid of facing Boko Haram and other terrorists in the North but down here in the South they have taken over the work of the police in their desperation to kill more Biafrans. No matter how much they want to twist facts the public is already aware of their pranks.

“The serial killings going on now in the land of Biafra are masterminded by the military and they cannot deny it. There are viral videos where the Nigeria Army is demonstrating its might against innocent and hapless people of Awgu in Enugu State. Will they say those burning down houses in the said video are IPOB and ESN? We challenge them for a forensic audit of the viral video. The UN should investigate this to establish the real identity of those behind the ongoing destruction in South East.”

The proscribed group wondered how the Nigerian army and its security counterparts would derive joy in killing Biafrans but Boko Haram and bandits sacked continuously sack them from their barracks in the North.

While insisting that the truth will not be buried, IPOB stated that the world will one day hold the Nigerian Army accountable for their atrocities and crime against humanity.

Biafra National Guard blasts Buhari, charges Igbos to fight Nigerian Army

Biafra National Guard (BNG) has lambasted President Muhammadu Buhari for sending Nigerian troops to the South-east.

The group said the military occupation was to carry out massacre and urged Igbos by all means necessary to defend themselves against soldiers deployed to the region.

Recall that BNG earlier in the week declared war against the Nigerian Army.

A statement by BNG spokesman, ‘Major Nkuma’ reads: “Major General Muhammadu Buhari who overthrew a democratically elected President of Nigeria in 1984; a staunch tyrant and hater of the people of Biafra has declared war against peaceful and law-abiding people of Biafra.

“After many years of struggling to come to power; he finally succeeded in 2015 amidst threat to soak monkeys and baboons in their blood. Many had thought he had a good mission but his quest for power was only to carry on the genocide he couldn’t complete in 1967.

“It is on record that Muhammadu Buhari played a major role in the 1967-70 genocide against the people of Biafra. The Biafra National Guard has it on good intelligence that Muhammadu Buhari deployed soldiers to some parts of Biafra land to kill defenseless people of Biafra.

“The deployed soldiers have started to maim and kill Biafrans according to the order issued to them, yet, we wonder why a sane man would unleash soldiers to kill unarmed and defenseless people and UN remained silent.

“Since on the 10th of September 2017, Nigerian army has been on rampage in Abia, Anambra, Delta and Rivers state. They have been molesting; intimidating, killing and forcing Biafrans to disappear; we are aware that the culture of kill and cart away of the Nigerian army is responsible for the disappearance.

“We were sufficiently informed of the siege in the home of the leader of Indigenous People of Biafra who has never raised riffle against Nigerian state or broken any known law. We are also aware of the shooting and victims so far; road blocks targeting civilians.

“We also got intelligence on the stockpiling of arms in Biafra land by Buhari; arms are being stockpiled in their Hausa/Fulani controlled military barracks and Mosques- planned to be used against the Biafran populace.

“We are raising alarm not because we are handicapped or begging anyone to spare our lives but we are raising alarm to avoid blames. Biafra National Guard has the ability to restore Biafra which is the only thing that can guarantee security of our lives.

“At this juncture; we believe that nobody will blame us because there must surely be total response. The long feared self-defense that may lead to full blown war is overdue; we urge Biafrans to prepare to defend their lives.

“The military occupation, incessant killing and molestation of our people will not set agenda for us, we have not declared any war but calling the attention of the world to our plight; we will take our time and show we can defend our lives and our territory- we shall respond if this massacre continue.

“We won’t continue to watch them take away our lives. Israel watched on until Hitler took away over three million lives of Jews; had they not defended their lives, there won’t be anything like home of the Jews today.

“Biafra has lost more than six million lives in the hands of Hausa/Fulani and yet has no home. It is time we faced our fate; it is time we defended our lives, our properties and our territory.

“The soldiers deployed to Biafra land should quickly go back to North and Niger Republic where they came as mercenaries. They will only have their lives to regret if they continue to occupy Biafra land because they have nothing to do here.

“Our land is a land of peace and a call for referendum is not a call for war; we pity the soldiers and what will come upon them if they don’t retreat. Buhari cannot send them to die while he enjoys with his family.

“Soldiers must learn to fight a just war; they must learn to be human and they must stand against tyrants. Soldiers should find pride in defending and securing lives against hostile enemies and not turning to gun down unarmed civilians- that is rather cowardice.

“Britain must be held to account; everything going on in Biafra and the rain that is about to drench dick and harry is their plan; but we would show Hausa/Fulani that we have made shelter. We shall strategically defend our lives and our land and never shall they have their way like in 1967.

“We have made up our mind to die for Biafra and death we shall without remorse. We are soldiers but soldiers of justice, freedom and love; we only want Biafra to end killing and political strangulation of our people.”

Biafra National Guard dares Nigerian forces, unveils ‘red devil rockets’

The Biafra National Guard (BNG) has declared it is combat ready and not scared of Nigerian forces.

In a propaganda video on Facebook Tuesday night, the fighters unveiled what appears to be rockets named ‘Red Devil 01’.

The purported weapons were painted in colours synonymous with Biafra – black, green, red and yellow.

In his remarks, BNG self-acclaimed leader, ‘General’ Innocent Orji stated that “Biafra is real”.

“We have re-declared the sovereignty of the Biafra nation; we have hoisted our flag. I and my men will defend Biafra with the last drop of our blood no matter what.

“We will be going out to defend our nation and boundaries, we are not afraid of the soldiers. We must do the needful. The support of the people will help us to save more lives.

“This is not 1967, we have our strategies. We won’t tell the people what we are going to do. Nigerian soldiers can never defeat us”, he said.

The footage was posted days after troops under Exercise GOLDEN DAWN in the South-East eliminated one BNG member and arrested another after a shootout.

Last week, the Army dismissed claims that the Directorate of Military Intelligence (DMI) and the Department of State Services (DSS) created the BNG to discredit the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).

Judge’s absence stalls Northern coalition’s suit seeking referendum for Biafra

A Federal High Court sitting in Abuja, on Monday, adjourned the hearing of a suit filed by the Coalition of Northern Groups (CNG), seeking a referendum to determine the fate of Biafra and other self-determination agitators.

CNG had, in June, sued the National Assembly and the Attorney-General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, asking the court to compel the defendants to halt the ongoing constitutional review exercise and conduct a referendum to determine what the agitators are demanding.

The case was however adjourned till January 20, 2022, following the absence of the Judge, Justice Inyang Ekpo, who was assigned to handle the case.

The judge was said to have been on another official assignment.

o, if we allow our leaders of today to go and leave us with these people in this situation, there may be another bloodshed or civil war.

“That’s what we want to avoid, which is why we come to the court to interpret the situation.

“One of the issues for determination in the substantive suit has to do with the legal obligation of the 2nd – 4th defendants/Respondents to provide a framework that will pave the way for the self-determination of the South-eastern states and any other enclave that wants to go so as to leave the geographical entity called Nigeria before any further step is taken to review the Constitution,” he said.

The suit, filed by the plaintiffs and leaders of the group, Nastura Ashir Shariff, Abdul-Azeez Suleiman, Balarabe Rufa’i and Aminu Adam, joined the Attorney-General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami; Senate President, Ahmad Lawan; Speaker, House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila and the National Assembly as defendants.

In his remarks, the lead counsel for the CNG, Barr. Safiyanu Gambo, said: “The first thing to do in any civil society is approach civil remedies first.

“For whatever reason people still have grievances, since there is a charter that article 20 has allowed for any part of the country to seek for self-determination.

“We felt the right thing to do is to approach the court to interpret that particular provisions of the law as well as comment on that origin some provisions of law and give effect to it,” he said.

Speaking on behalf of the Igbo Lawyers Association, the party seeking to be joined in the suit, Bar Ukpai Ukairo, said, “Why we are seeking to join the suit, we know that the African charter on human and people rights has adequate provisions for self-determination.

Biafra referendum: Court adjourns CNG’s hearing to Jan. 20, 2022

A Federal High Court in Abuja has adjourned till January 20, 2022, hearing on the suit filed by the Coalition of Northern Groups (CNG) seeking referendum for Biafra and other self-determination agitations in the country.

CNG had in June sued the National Assembly and Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malaml, praying  the court to compel the defendants to halt the ongoing constitutional review and conduct a referendum to determine what determines Nigeria and who populates it.

The case was adjourned on Monday in Abuja, after Justice Inyang Ekpo could not sit due to another official assignment.

Addressing newsmen, yesterday, after the adjournment, CNG’s spokesperson, Abdul-Azeez Suleiman, said instead of constitutional review, the defendants should immediately provide a framework for the actualisation of the agitators’ demand on self-determination.

“What we are doing is to save the country, ourselves and future of the country, because this peoples are becoming violent already.  And most of the people engaged in this activity are below 50. So if we allow our leaders of today to go and leave us with these people in this situation, there may be another bloodshed or civil war. That is  what we want to avoid, which is why we come to the court to interpret the situation.”

Suleiman said one of the issues for determination in the substantive suit has to do with the legal obligation of the 2nd – 4th defendants/respondents to provide a framework that would pave the way for the self-determination of the South-East states and any other enclave that wants to exit Nigeria before any further step is taken to review the constitution.

The suit filed by the plaintiffs and leaders of the group, Nastura Ashir Shariff, Abdul-Azeez Suleiman, Balarabe Rufa’i and Aminu Adam, joined the Attorney-General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami; Senate President, Ahmad Lawan; Speaker, House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila and the National Assembly as defendants.

CNG’s lead counsel, Safiyanu Gambo appealled to the wisdom of the court to listen to the provisions of the African charter, particularly article 20 of the African charter, that provide a right for self-determination, saying Nigeria is a signatory to that chatter.

“For whatever reason people still have grievances, since there is a charter that article 20 has allowed for any part of the country to seek for self determination, we felt the right thing to do is to approach the court to interpret that particular provisions of the law as well as comment on that origin of the provisions of law and give effect to it.”

Meanwhile, Igbo Lawyers Association, a party seeking to be joined in the suit, through Ukpai Ukairo said:“Why we are seeking to be joined in the suit, we know that the African Charter on human and people right has adequate provisions for self determination. When we are joined, we shall seek appropriate remedial to activate that section  which is binding Nigeria in other to ensure that referendum is conducted.”

The lead counsel, Victor Onweremadu, said the only solution for ongoing agitation was for government to organise a referendum on Biafra.
