NIGERIA : Arms imported from Pakistan to attack Igbos – IPOB alleges

 

The Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, on Monday, alleged that arms have been imported from Pakistan ahead of a planned invasion of the Southeast.

IPOB made the allegation while explaining that it has no plans to attack people of the southeast and southsouth.

Emma Powerful, IPOB’s spokesman, insisted that violence is not part of the group’s philosophy.

Powerful was reacting to an article by one Shekau who likened IPOB to Boko Haram terrorists.

In a statement by its spokesman, Powerful said: “We the global family of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) ably led by our great leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu have read with amusement, a fallacious media remark by one inconsequential Shekau, a self-acclaimed supporter of President Muhamnadu Buhari where he displayed his ignorance and cluelessness about IPOB, our Leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, and the goings-on in Biafra land.

“It is a pity that this ignoble fellow and attention seeker compared a non-violent movement like IPOB to Boko Haram terrorists created and groomed by the North to kill Jewish and Christian adherents, indigenous northerners and security agents.

“IPOB has seen numerous false propaganda in the past and we are not in any way moved by this latest vomit. We know the antics of our enemies who are never tired of sponsoring media lies to cover up their evil and rubbish our struggle for independence but we are not deterred.

“Contrary to the vomit by this inconsequential fellow, IPOB has no plans to attack South Easterners and South Southerners. In the first place, violence is not part of our philosophy. Assuming we want to resort to violence, how can we attack the people whom we are fighting for?

“It does not make any sense. But we know their motive for peddling this falsehood as our intelligent report confirms the importation and stockpiling of arms from Pakistan for their planned invasion of Biafraland but we are waiting for them.”

Big Brother Nigeria is into its final week.

And at no point during the ‘Shine Ya Eye’ did the reality show meet expectations.

Possibly, the highest point of this season, was when the male housemates were brought in 24 hours before the females.

The guys almost stained the innovation with the prank they played. And although they ended it rather shabbily, well, we will take it.

Everything else in the last six weeks or so have been bland. The contestants lack personality and star quality. The games were dry and forced. The triple eviction was desperate. The twists and drama almost made one scratch their eye out.

If we thought the excitement was going to be ramped up in the final weeks, well, we should have known better.

On Sunday, Nini, Saga and Queen were sent home. However, we do not know the finalists yet, except for Emmanuel, Cross and Liquorose.

And the reason is comical. Somehow, Pere has to play a game with Angel to decide who makes it to the finale. This is Biggie completely disregarding public votes that showed clearly that Pere had 10% more than Angel.

So imagine Pere leaving the show because of a silly game. What is then the entire point? Why should viewers bother next week? We could instead sit back and watch the organizers pull off another lazy, hare-brained stunt.

Not as if we care. WhiteMoney will likely walk away with the N90million worth of prizes. We already knew that from Week 1 or 2.

But, by God, what a forgettable endeavour this has been!

BIAFRA : Stop begging S/East politicians for money in our name – IPOB warns scammers

 The leadership of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, at the weekend has warned that scammers should desist from using its name to beg for money

 from Nigerian politicians, especially those who hail from the southeast region.

The group made this known through a press statement signed and forwarded to  by Emma Powerful, its media and publicity secretary.

The statement reads: “Following numerous complaints we have received concerning people claiming to be representatives of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, who approach politicians in Nigeria, soliciting financial support for IPOB, we wish to clarify that IPOB has NEVER, and will NEVER ask anybody to beg for such financial support.

“IPOB under the able leadership of our Leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu did not send anybody on such shameful errand. IPOB is a global movement with members in over 100 countries and we know how we raise our funds. We don’t solicit financial support from politicians. We have nothing to do with Nigerian politicians; we don’t need their money!

“Therefore, anybody no matter how highly or lowly placed or even related to our Leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, parading as a representative of IPOB sent to collect financial support from any politician is on his or her own. Such impostors assuming the complaints are correct are scammers. They don’t have the mandate of IPOB.

“We, therefore, seriously warn anybody swindling unsuspecting or greedy politicians in the name of IPOB to immediately disembark from such scandalous mission or brace up for the dire consequences. If we catch anybody no matter who such a one is, fronting as an IPOB agent before any Nigerian politician, such a person will live in regrets the rest of his or her life if the one is lucky to escape the wrath of God.

“We also wish to advise gullible and greedy politicians not to deal with or give money to anyone claiming to have been sent by IPOB. We have not sent or delegated anyone for such a disgraceful mission. Be warned.

Biafrans bans Nigerian flag in S’East, declares sit-at-home protest Oct 1

 

The Indigenous People of Biafra has banned the Nigerian flag in the South-East zone of the country.

The secessionist group said the ban begins today, and also declared October 1 a sit-at-home day.

Media and Publicity Secretary of the group, Emma Powerful, stated this in a statement made available to our correspondent in Awka, Anambra State on Saturday.

He said, “IPOB has declared 1st of October 2021 total shutdown in Biafra land as a sign of our rejection of the evil construct called Nigeria and there shall be no movement in Biafra land on this day.

“Also, IPOB has declared from today 25th September 2021 that all Nigerian flag mounted anywhere in Biafra land must be brought down, Banks exceptional. IPOB leadership will communicate to banks directly and give them reason they must peacefully bring down Nigeria flag in their banking premises before we do it ourselves in our own way.”

The group added, “In line with the Memorandum of Understanding and alliance between Ambazonia and Biafra nations, we wish to ask Biafrans to support and celebrate Ambazonia Independence Anniversary on October 1st 2021.

“It is, therefore, the delight of the Directorate of State, of our great movement, IPOB, that we inform Biafrans all over the world of this upcoming Independence day celebration of our great ally and neighbour, the Ambazonian people billed for 1st of October 2021.

“We, therefore, urge world leaders to use the opportunity of the ongoing United Nations General Assembly meeting to discuss the sufferings of the two persecuted nations of Biafra and Ambazonia. Our people have suffered enough in the hands of our oppressors

who are in bed with terrorists but derive pleasure in crushing peaceful agitators instead of addressing our genuine concerns.”
