Lolo Ebelechukwu Obi, wife of the chief priest, Idemili Cultural Centre, Agulu in Anaocha Local Government Area of Anambra State, Chief Ralph Ndidi Obi has revealed how pastors patronize her husband for powers.
In an interview with BBC pidgin, the young lady who got married to the chief priest eight years ago, said some popular pastors usually visit her husband seeking for spiritual power to enable them perform miracles in their churches.
She revealed that prior to her marriage with the chief priest, she was a prayer warrior in church, stressing that she was dismayed when she saw the secret of some ‘men of God’ who display power in church.
“After getting married to my husband, some pastors that I cannot even mention, I started seeing them here and my husband, the chief priest, usually works for them.
“They used to come to him for power but when they return to their church, they will begin to cast the water spirit. We deliver people from spiritual husbands and wives. When you come to us, we just settle the spirit and you will go and marry your spouse”, she stated.
According to her, there is nothing wrong with being a traditional worshipper, saying Nigerians’ perception of the religion was wrong.
“When I was a prayer warrior in church, I used to see traditional worshippers as bad people but after marrying my husband, I found out that it is not even a bad thing”, she added.
Big Brother Naija, BBNaija season 6 housemate, Cross on Saturday night knelt for Angel.
Cross went on his knees begging Angel after the Saturday night because of her attitude towards him.
He complained that Angel has not been speaking to him but has been avoiding him.
Cross begged Angel to tell him the reason as they both might be evicted this Sunday.
“What did I do wrong, please tell me. You’ve been avoiding me and have not spoken to me.
“You know we are both up for eviction and there’s a possibility that either one of us or both of us will be evicted on Sunday,” Cross told Angel.
Angel refused to respond to Cross and gave him no attention.
The ‘best friends’, who shared kisses, have been caught up in cozy moments at different times in the house.
However, they insist that they are just best friends and nothing more.
It is not certain what the problem is, but Angel might be jealous that Cross danced all night with Saskay or just trying to avoid Cross because of Yousef.
The Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, on Wednesday, warned the Ghanaian President, Nana Akufua Ado, to stop collaborating with the Nigerian Government to suppress those agitating for Biafra.
IPOB said the Ghanaian Government should stop harassing and torturing its members resident in Ghana.
Emma Powerful, the spokesman of the separatist group, issued the warning in response to the alleged arrest of 82 IPOB members in Ghana.
Powerful claimed that some IPOB members were arrested in Ghana during a meeting.
He disclosed that while some of those arrested were deported to Nigeria, the whereabouts of some were still unknown.
In a statement, Powerful said: “The attention of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) ably led by our great leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu has been drawn to the arrest, intimidation, harassment and incessant torture and humiliation of Biafrans living in Ghana by Ghana government and its security agencies.
“It’s quite unfortunate that the Government of Ghana has made itself a willing accomplice to the oppressive Fulani -controlled Nigerian Government to suppress the agitation for Biafra restoration. But BIAFRA is irrepressible no matter how hard the enemies try!
“We still remember the role by Ghana during the genocidal war unleashed to the good people of Biafra between 1967 and 1970. IPOB has not forgotten how Ghana refused to help the children of Biafra during that war of annihilation by Nigeria Government supported by British authorities in their botched bid to annihilate Biafra from the surface of the earth.
“It is shameful and unfortunate that Ghana government and her security operatives could arrest Biafrans living in their country about 107 people in their monthly meeting, detained and deported 25 people of them to Nigeria and others were nowhere to found. Our family in Ghana were still looking for whereabouts of them, we are telling good people of Ghana to look for our people living in Ghana and produce them to Biafrans government or they ready for the consequences.
“We are looking for 82 citizens of Biafra in Ghana. Ghana arrested 2 years citizens of Biafra and detained her incommunicado for two weeks in Ghana prison yards without taking them to court.
“Recently Ghana government led by Nana Dankwa Akufua Ado and his security agencies renewed their hatred on the people of Biafra. Since 2019 till date, Ghana government and her partners in crime have been clamping down on Biafra businesses in Ghana. This is sheer wickedness.
“We are calling on Ghanaians and friends of Ghana President to inform him that he should stop collaborating with the Fulani-controlled Federal Government of Nigeria to oppress Biafra. We are keeping records. Nana Ado should not be allowed to make Ghana perpetual enemies of Biafra because of his selfish interest.”
Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, has sued the Kenyan government for arresting and handing him over to Nigerian authorities without following due process. In his petition presented by Luchiri and Company Advocates, Kanu argued that his arrest and subsequent extradition in June 2021 were unconstitutional.
Kanu was detained immediately on landing in Nigeria although authorities have not revealed where he is being held. Authorities said Kanu was brought back to the country to stand trial after he jumped bail and went on the run in 2017.
In July 2021, the UK government asked the Nigerian government to explain where and how Nnamdi Kanu who holds British citizenship, was arrested. The Nigerian authorities have refused to confirm where Kanu was arrested, while Kenya's ambassador to Nigeria Tom Amolo, denied his country was involved. Kanu is facing 11 charges that include treason, terrorism, and the illegal possession of firearms.
