Watching BBNaija will kill your spirit, cripple your prayer life – Evang Agochukwu [VIDEO]

 

A Nigerian Evangelist and General Overseer of Shekina Area Gospel Ministry and CEO of the Shikan TV, Evangelist Gospel Agochukwu has advised Nigerians particularly Christians to stop watching Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) reality TV show.

In a video he posted on his verified Facebook page on Thursday, a renowned gospel preacher, during a sermon in his church, said watching the show would cripple the prayer lives of Christians and disconnect them from God.

The Evangelist expressed concerns over moral decadence emanating from such shows, stating that the generation needs to be guided.

The man of God revealed that he blocked the channel from his TV decoder. He, however, said he was not against those into the business.

He said, “If you are a child of God and you are watching Big Brother Naija, you are killing your spirit.

“I’m not against people doing their business, but morality must be handled in our generation. I was watching a video on the internet a few days ago, one of them was practically masturbating.

“And that is on live TV. This is what some parents leave on the TV for their children to watch and they go inside to sleep. She was caressing herself with her finger on a national TV. And it’s a show.

“You think it will not deal with your spirit being and spirit man? It will kill your prayer life. There are things that shouldn’t get your attention. Someone came to my house and attempted to switch to the channel but discovered that it was blocked.

“I’m not against anybody; even one girl from my village is there. But we must handle morality, if not, in the next five years, these things that are done secretly will not be secret again.”

Big Brother Naija ‘Shine Ya Eye’ housemate, Pere, has said he is no longer attracted to Maria.

Maria is Pere’s fellow wild card on the reality show.

While speaking with Beatrice on Thursday, Pere discussed his relationship with her.

According to him, he is no longer interested in Maria because he is a “grown man” and has to move on with his life.

Maria had admitted she felt disrespected when Pere kissed Beatrice during the Truth or Dare game, after saying he has feelings for her (Maria).

On Tuesday, Maria then told Pere face to face that she doesn’t like him.

“Maria is not my girlfriend. Fine, I was attracted to Maria. ‘was’ attracted to Maria,” Pere said, placing emphasis on “was”.

Beatrice asked him why he moved on and he said, ” I’m quick to move on because I know what I want. I’m a grown man. I am 36 years old. 36 years no be beans.”

Tokyo Olympics: We’re not aware of any PUMA contract ― AFN

 

The Athletics Federation of Nigeria, AFN, has said that it is not in possession of any contractual documents signed between it and German sportswear company, PUMA.

Recall that the kit manufacturers terminated the four-year sponsorship contract worth $1.67m with the federation on Wednesday.

PUMA cited the failure of Nigerian athletes’ to wear their brand at the ongoing Tokyo Olympics.

Also, the technical director of the factional Athletics Federation of Nigeria (AFN) board, Sunday Adeleye, on Thursday, said that PUMA will sue for breach of contract.

However, reacting to the development, AFN, in a statement signed by Prince Adeniyi Adisa Beyioku, its Secretary-General, said it could not be liable for what it knows nothing about.

The statement read, ”The attention of the AFN has been drawn to a media statement signed by Shehu Ibrahim Gusau confirming the termination of the agreement he and Mr Sunday Adeleye signed with sportswear and equipment company, PUMA purportedly on behalf of the AFN in July 2019.

”The AFN wishes to state unequivocally that it is not aware of any contract as there was no document in the Secretariat of the federation pertaining to any contractual agreement with PUMA.”

36-year-old lady allegedly butchers ‘sugar daddy’, cart away car, N2.9 million in Uyo

 

A 36-old lady, Lorretta Anoh has allgedly killed her lover, an international businessman, Chikoka Emeka Henry and carted away his 4Matic Mercedes Benz car and a sum of N2.9 million naira in Uyo, the capital of Akwa Ibom State.

The state’s Police Public Relations Officer, SP Odiko MacDON, in a statement forwarded to DAILY POST on Thursday evening, confirmed the incident.

According to the police spokesman, the suspect has been arrested. He also revealed that the items stolen form the victim have been recovered.

He noted that the state police command was able to arrest the alleged murderer on Wednesday following a compliant by one of the victim’s friends, Collins Okpara.

The statement reads, “On 4/8/2021 at about 9:10am, following a complaint from one Collins Okpara ‘m’ of Afaha Road, Uyo that he contacted his brother, one Chikoka Emeka Henry ‘m’, 36 years of age via phone but couldn’t get response, he decided to visit the said Chikoka in his apartment located at No. 2 Osongama Estate, Uyo.

“On arrival, he found him lying in his pool of blood, dead. He further informed the Police that his black 4Matic Mercedes Benz car with Reg. No. EKY 694 GP was removed from the car park.

“The report necessitated the Commissioner of Police, CP ANDREW AMIENGHEME, psc(+) fdc, to order for a prompt investigation.

“Operatives of ‘B’ Division in Ewet Housing swiftly took action, removed the corpse of the deceased which preliminary examination showed an axe cut on his head and deposited at UUTH for autopsy.

“Operatives painstakingly trailed and arrested the principal suspect, one Lorretta Anoh ‘f’, who was last seen entering the apartment of the deceased on the 3/8/2021.

“An instant search on the victim led to the recovery of the sum of two million, nine hundred and forty-three thousand, two hundred and fifty Naira (N2,943,250.00) which she confessed to have stolen from the victim.

“The suspect at the point of arrest was making arrangements to change the ownership of the 4Matic car of the deceased to her personal car.

“The Commissioner of Police who is miffed at the action of the suspect has ordered a transfer of the case to the State Criminal Investigation Department for a discreet investigation while warning members of the public to be vigilant and be careful of the company they keep.”
