BIAFRA NEWS : Igbos can leave Nigeria – Northern elders on war threats

The Northern Elders Forum (NEF) says it has reviewed events and tendencies which suggest that the country is headed for more crises amid the calls for Biafra, security challenges, among others.

NEF said the capacity of the Nigerian State to secure citizens, protect the country’s territorial integrity and resist violent assaults is weakening to the levels of making threats that have no impact.

The elders lamented that armed criminals have increased their audacious stranglehold on the country.

They added that irredentists are increasingly asserting their influence in the South East and some other parts. BIAFRA NEWS : Twitter ban, I’m number three on list of defaulters – Dino Melaye

Northern elders declare position on open grazing ban, call for national dialogue

Their statement said all Nigerians are paying the price of failure of two sets of leaders.

“At the national level, the administration appears to have lost the capacity to halt the gradual descent of the country into anarchy. Political leaders in the South East appear to have submitted to violence and terror of IPOB and ESN.”

The NEF said it appeared the secession demand by Igbo represents the popular choice.

“This nation has had to fight a terrible war to preserve the country. The North had paid its dues in that war, as indeed it did in many ways throughout the history of the country.”

Baba-Ahmed noted that under the current circumstances, no Nigerian should welcome another war to keep the country together.

The Northern leaders said the region has more than enough challenges, admitting they recognize that violent secession by any part of Nigeria will compound the problems all citizens live with.

The Forum declared that: “If support for secession among the Igbo is as widespread as it is being made to look, and Igbo leadership appears to be in support of it, then the country should be advised not to stand in its way.”

Baba-Ahmed, however, said it will not be the best choice for the Igbo or other Nigerians to leave a country all toiled to build and have the responsibility to fix.

“It will not help a country already burdened with failures on its knees to fight another war to keep the Igbo in Nigeria”, the statement added.

BIAFRA NEWS : Insecurity, Northern elders responsible for Boko Haram, bandits – Ohanaeze fires back at Wamakko

 https://saviournicodemus.blogspot.com/

Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide has cautioned former Sokoto State Governor, Aliyu Wamakko, that his recent comments were capable of inciting ethnic cleansing and turmoil in the country.

 THE RESTORATION OF BIAFRA NATION

The group said it is laughable that the likes of Wamakko could not find solutions to the frightening insecurity challenges in the North for the last 7 years.

Ohanaeze said it was the same security issues the north incubated as a political instrument to force power from former President Goodluck Jonathan in 2015

The apex Igbo socio-cultural organisation, in a statement signed by Mazi Okechukwu Isiguzoro, Secretary-General, accused the North of being responsible for all the disaster in the Southeast based on the earlier warning of the USA Embassy Abuja.

Attacks: Speak up – Wamakko challenges South East leaders

Ohanaeze recalled that the US embassy had warned that the bandits and killer herdsmen are changing positions to Southern Nigeria to wreak havoc.

“Northern Elders are behind the chaos in Nigeria as a ploy to retain the Presidency in the North beyond 2023 as they did to Jonathan in 2015,” the statement said.

“So they exported violence to the southeast to keep Igbo leaders busy with insecurity challenges and set traps for them (Igbo leaders) to fall in and get arrested.

“We are amazed at how someone who couldn’t remove a spark of dust in his eyelashes could see the remedy for the log of wood in the eyes of Ndigbo.

Secession: Tinubu, Akande’s meeting capable of dousing tension in Nigeria – Buhari’s ally

“Wamakko’s assertion that Igbo leaders are behind the scenes motivating the violence in the southeast, exposed the northern secrets of supporting bandits and Boko Haram for economic and political reasons.

“The silence of Igbo leaders is golden and will generate confusion in the camps of sponsors of terror in the Southeast.”

BIAFRA NEWS : Oyo massacre Buhari govt backs Fulani terrorists, war declared against Yoruba – Akintoye

The apex leader of Yoruba Self-Determination Groups, Ilana Omo Oodua, Professor Banji Akintoye says the murder of Yorubas in people of Igangan in Oyo State was a declaration of war by “Fulani terrorists”.

THE RESTORATION OF BIAFRA NATION

Akintoye accused the President Muhammadu Buhari-led federal government of backing the “terrorist herdsmen that have been maiming, killing and raping the Yoruba people and exterminating their properties”.

In a statement on Monday by his spokesman, Maxwell Adeleye, Akintoye urged the Yorubas “to arm themselves with whatever they can lay their hands upon”.

He hailed Ondo Governor Rotimi Akeredolu for his stand on the Igangan massacre, and advised the South-West Governors to put aside constitutional objections to defend their people.

“Yoruba land has been surrounded, and we must act now”, the renowned scholar declared, adding that Yoruba people have never been conquered.

The second republic member of the Senate urged Yoruba youths to prepare for “technological, spiritual and physical warfares”.

“The Fulani herdsmen attack must never be allowed to succeed anywhere in Yoruba land again”.

“The Federal Government of Nigeria has failed woefully to protect the Yoruba people and other indigenous peoples of Nigeria’s South and the Middle Belt against these invading, marauding forces.

“When we consider the behavior of the federal government in the face of this danger to the indigenous peoples and citizens of Nigeria, we can not avoid the conclusion that the federal government is a sponsor of the terror in our land.

Makinde reacts as gunmen invade Igangan, kill scores

“The federal government started by saying and doing nothing about the terrorism while apparently instructing the security agencies to do nothing to confront the terrorism.

“The federal government persistently gives to the wide world a false picture of the situation by claiming that everything is a product of climate change even as the Fulani insistently issues statements that their mission is to subdue all peoples and forcefully take their land.

“While allowing the Fulani to move freely with and to import various categories of weapons into Nigeria, the federal government prohibited the possession of any kind of firearms by any indigenous citizens of Nigeria.”

Akintoye lamented that authorities sent the Police and Army to seize privately owned weapons including those citizens had earlier been licensed for hunting and sports.

“In the light of all the foregoing, we call on all our governors to stop letting objections by federal officials obstruct the defense of our peoples.

“We call on all Yoruba people to rise up as one to defeat this danger. We Yoruba have a proud history that we have never been conquered.

“Let us not succumb to conquest now. Let us thank the countless young people of our land who have been standing up against the invasion of our land.”

On Sunday, the Aare Onakakanfo of Yorubaland, Iba Gani Adams said over 50 people were murdered in Igangan and that “war is imminent in the country”.
