FOOTBALL : Liverpool take decision on asking FA to deduct points from Man Utd after cancelled game

Liverpool will not ask the Football Association (FA) to award them the match, after Sunday’s clash at Manchester United was cancelled due to safety worries, the UK Mirror reports. The decision to call off the match was taken one hour after the scheduled 4.30 pm kick-off. That will prove tricky, with the Red Devils involved in a Europa League semi-final this week. They also have the next two mid-week slots taken up with Premier League games against Leicester and Fulham.

FOOTBALL : Lukaku tells Ibrahimovic to ‘bow down’ after Inter Milan win Serie A title

Romelu Lukaku has taken a dig at Zlatan Ibrahimovic, after Inter Milan were crowned Serie A champions on Sunday. Inter were confirmed champions with four games left, after Atalanta and Sassuolo played out a 1-1 draw. Antonio Conte’s side overhauled Ibrahimovic’s AC Milan earlier this season, before going 13 points clear. Lukaku and the Swedish striker, who were former Manchester United team-mates, clashed in the Coppa Italia quarter-final back in February, trading insults and confronting each other before both men received one-match bans. Inter won that game 2-1 and Lukaku believes he’s had the last laugh over Ibrahimovic. Lukaku wrote on Twitter: “The real god has crowned the king!” “Now bow down. King of Milano,” the striker added, with a winking face and a crown emoji. The Belgian scored 21 goals in 33 Serie A games for Inter.
