It’s no secret that Ciara has plenty of industry friends in
Hollywood, but who knew she was also close pals with Vanessa Bryant? The
two have been inseparable these last couple of months,
having documented their sleepovers, game nights, vacations, and outdoor
activities for their millions of fans on social media — but many are
wondering how they even became friends.
It
wasn’t until the summer of 2020 where Ciara started making quite a few
appearances on Vanessa’s Instagram page — most notably when she and TV
personality La La Anthony would enjoy a girls’ night with the
38-year-old, who continues to grieve the devastating passing of her
husband Kobe Bryant and their daughter Gianna.
The pair
tragically lost their lives following a helicopter crash in Calabasas,
California back in January 2020, but it seems that the support from friends such as Ciara and her husband Russell Wilson has really helped Vanessa and her children uplift their spirits.
Ciara And Vanessa Bryant’s Friendship

While it’s
unclear how long Vanessa and Ciara have been friends, since the summer
of 2020, the “Goodies” hitmaker is often seen in her friend’s Instagram
posts.
Though CiCi resides in
Seattle, Washington with her husband Russell Wilson — who plays for the
Seattle Seahawks — it seems Ciara makes quite a few trips to Los Angeles
every other week, and when she’s in the city of angels, she’s sure to
meet up with Vanessa and her kids.
Vanessa And Natalia Bryant Get Tattoos To Honor Kobe And Gianna
One of the most
notable times that the pair have linked up was in October 2020 when
Ciara, La La, Vanessa, and her daughter Natalia enjoyed a game of
football.
The women giggled
and beamed with joy as they separated in teams to play the popular
sport in Vanessa’s enormous backyard, showing fans that despite the
January 2020 tragedy, V and her children were surrounded with nothing
but love and support.
"I'm about to run 'Danger
Danger,'" La La joked in the Instagram clip. "When I say 'hut,' you get
that motherf–– ball and you run.”

"The Girls Taking
The W.... As We Should,” Natalia then wrote in her own IG video clip,
while La La captioned the same post with the words,
"Danger
Dangerthis has me cryingdon’t wanna see us on

Ciara and Vanessa
both have children in the same age range. Ciara has a six-year-old son
named Future Jr, whom she shares with rapper Future, and she shares her
other two children, three-year-old Sienna, and eight-month-old Win with
Russell.

Aside from 18-year-old Natalia, Vanessa also has a one-year-old daughter named Capri and four-year-old Bianka.
In August 2020,
Ciara and Russell gifted the latter an adorable pink Range Rover, which
Vanessa raved about in an Instagram post thanking the couple for their
thoughtful present.
“It’s like
arguing with myself. My little negotiator. Auntie @ciara and Uncle
@dangerusswilson thank you or the RR for BB – ‘I guess’ you’ll be taking
over driving lessons. BB mastered it though. #Thatsmirk #MamaMentality

The Grammy award-winning
char-topper has also shared some sentimental words about her friendship
with Vanessa with her fans on social media, saying that V is one of the
most “toughest” mamas she knows.

“Seeing you and
the girls smile makes my heart smile,” Ciara said in response to V’s joy
over her daughter’s Range Rover gift. “You’re the toughest mama I know.
Seeing you put one foot forward each day is admirable. It ain’t easy,
but if I know one thing, Mamba Queen’s capable of it all. Love you V.

Celebrities Send Vanessa Bryant Love As She Opens Up About Kobe & Gigi’s Deaths
Most recently, Ciara and Vanessa joined forces once again for a toddler playdate, which saw Sienna and Bianka engage in TikTok challenges, which the proud mothers both posted to their Instagram page, respectively.
Needless to say,
Vanessa and Ciara are probably two of the closest friends in Hollywood.
But aside from her bond with CiCi, the Los Angeles native is also known
for being pals with the likes of Jennifer Lopez, Beyonce, Monica, and
Mary J. Blige.

In her exclusive interview with People in March 2021,
Vanessa shared the heartbreak she’s endured ever since the passing of
her husband and daughter last year, describing the pain as
“unimaginable.”
"You just have to
get up and push forward. Lying in bed crying isn’t going to change the
fact that my family will never be the same again.
"But getting out of bed
and pushing forward is going to make the day better for my girls and for
me. So that’s what I do. "My girls help me smile through the pain. They
give me strength."
