BIAFRA . We will deal with you – Army Chief tells Dokubo, Igboho and others

The Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lt. -Gen. Ibrahim Attahiru, has said that the Nigerian army has resolved to deal with secessionists who are threatening the peace of the country.

He vowed to ensure that those inciting disintegration such as the Yoruba activist, Sunday Igboho who recently declared the Oduduwa Republic and his South South counterpart, ex-militant, Asari Dokubo are all dealt with.

General Attahiru gave the warning while speaking in Uyo at the first Commanding Officers’ Workshop 2021.

Recall that Asari Dokubo, a leader of the Niger Delta Peoples Salvation Force, recently declared the formation of Biafra Customary Government (BCG).

Similarly, Sunday Adeyemo, popularly known as Sunday Igboho, a self-acclaimed Yoruba activist, last week declared Yoruba as a separate nation and demanded the secession of South-West states from Nigeria.

But Attahiru vowed that the country would remain integrated, adding that the army in collaboration with other security agencies will deal with separatists agitating for secession.

“The Nigerian Army under my leadership would remain proactive and jointly work with other security agencies to decisively deal with threats facing the nation.

“The Nigerian Army under my watch remains resolute and is poised more than ever before to decisively deal with individuals or groups that threaten the peace, security and stability of our great nation,” he vowed.

Haaland also identified Messi and Ronaldo as the best players of all time.

The Norway international, however, said that he has to improve a lot to reach the level of either Messi or Ronaldo.

Haaland said this whilst away on international duty with Norway ahead of their World Cup qualifier tie against Gibraltar on Wednesday.

“The media are the ones who write about it [and compare me with Messi and Ronaldo], I don’t focus on those things,” Haaland told reporters during his pre-match press conference on Monday.

“I want to improve every day. Ronaldo and Messi, I don’t need to talk about them, they are the best of all time.

“They are still very far away.”

Haaland has scored 33 goals in 30 matches in all competitions for Dortmund so far this season.

The 20-year-old has drawn the attention of top clubs around Europe.

Yoruba nations agitators warned against demanding Nigeria’s break up

The Nigeria National Summit Group (NNSG) has cautioned Biafra and Yoruba nations’ proponents.

The organisation said the declaration of sovereignty of some sections of the country was criminal.

In a statement on Monday, Tony Uranta, the Executive Secretary, inisisted Nigeria must not be allowed to fail or splinter.

Secessionists including Nnamdi Kanu, Sunday Igboho, Asari Dokubo, have at different times announced factionalized entities.

The NNSG scribe advised the authorities to act decisively against every anti-law and order individual.

He noted that the news about groups or persons proclaiming independence “are frighteningly bizarre”.

Uranta said the challenges Nigerians will face due to such declarations “must not be treated with kid gloves.

“Leaders nationwide must urge restraints on anybody, group or people leading or making such calls.”

Uranta urged the federal government to initiate and convene a reconciliatory national roundtable.

“Such roundtable will focus on the principles distilled and agreed upon during the 2014 National Conference,” he added.

NNSG demanded that insecurity be resolved as soon as possible to ensure national stability.

The world will shake, Nigeria will suffer heavy defeat if war breaks out – BNL

Biafra Nations League, BNL, has stated that it would collaborate with the indigenous people of Bakassi Peninsula to frustrate efforts by the Nigerian government to get Cameroon to fight against Biafra in the Gulf of Guinea.

According to BNL, Nigeria will suffer heavy “defeat should another war break out,” adding that something that will shake the world will happen.

BNL stated this in a statement signed by its operational commander, known as Aso Rock, a former 3rd commander of militant group, the Bakassi Strike Force.

The group threatened to be in full scale militancy if the recent war equipment deployed to the Gulf of Guinea by the Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Awwal Gambo arrives Bakassi.

The group said that its members will continue to collaborate with Ambazonia to keep fighting Cameroon in order not to be a hindrance to the Biafran independence activities in the Gulf of Guinea.

BNL hinted that its men are not afraid to die, insisting that the Bakassi people and the entire Eastern Nigerians have decided to join hands to restore Biafra.

“We are not afraid of them getting backup from Cameroon, we are already dealing with Cameroon, and they are afraid of building any structures in Bakassi Peninsula.

“We are also part of the groups in Ambazonia fighting Cameroon, and we will make sure Nigeria does not enjoy any support from Cameroon.

“BNL paramilitary should not be a threat to anyone, we are not after innocent people. We are not after security agencies.

“We will only face them if they try to stop us from declaring Biafra from the sea. We are raising our flags peacefully and our paramilitary members will be carrying out these actions.

“Something will happen, and it will shake the world. We are stopping activities by oil companies here, and if they fail to comply, we will treat them like criminals”.
