Arewa youths projects impact of Biden’s Presidency on Nigeria

The Arewa Youths Consultative Forum, AYCF, on Monday, said the victory of Joe Biden in the just concluded presidential election in the United States would have a positive impact on Nigeria.

Yerima Shettima, National President of AYCF, said Biden’s victory would strengthen Nigeria’s democracy with other parts of the world.

Shettima, who disclosed this in a chat with DAILY POST, recalled how Biden, a former US Vice President and his principal, Barack Obama played major roles in the emergence of Buhari’s government.

According to the AYCF National President: “Biden’s victory is going to have a positive impact on Nigeria because when he was the Vice President, they played a major role in the emergence of Buhari’s government.

“You will also recall that Obama’s government favoured Buhari’s government, so I’m of the view that the relationship between Nigeria and America would be more casual than it was in the past. To a large extent, it’s a positive result.

“Buhari’s government did not actually enjoy the support of Trump’s government

“We are looking forward to a very good working relationship and how democracy would be strengthened between Nigeria and other parts of the world.”

Nigeria love evil : US election: Biden declared himself winner – China refuses to congratulate President-elect

China has said that it was not aware of Joe Biden winning the US presidential election, declining to congratulate him.

The Asian giants said the outcome of the vote was still to be determined.

Despite media houses projecting Joe Biden as the winner of the tightly contested election after he polled over 270 college votes, incumbent Donald Trump is yet to concede and has filed several legal challenges.

China’s foreign ministry Spokesman, Wang Wenbin, told the press at a regular briefing Monday that his country had “noticed that Mr Biden declared he is the winner of the election.

“Our understanding is that the outcome of the election will be determined in accordance with US laws and procedures,” he said.

Many world leaders have since sent their congratulatory message to Biden and running mate Kamala Harris.

Trump’s presidency has been marked by a costly trade war and increasingly icy relations with China.

Trump Lawsuit likely as United States authorities fail to recognize Biden

The transition team of Joe Biden is dissatisfied that the former Senator has not been recognized by the United States authorities.

According to Associated Press, Biden of the Democratic Party won 290 electoral votes, and
76,343,332 vote count.

President Donald Trump of the Republican Party secured 214 electoral votes, and 71,444,567 vote count.

But the General Services Administration (GSA) has remained silent on the declaration of Biden as president-elect.

The independent agency must formally recognize election winners before they can commence transition tasks.

The GSA delay may not be unconnected to Trump’s rejection of the results. The President is filing legal action in several states over allegations of fraud.

Biden’s team say they may sue the federal government for refusing to acknowledge him as winner of the November 3 election.

“Legal action is certainly a possibility, but there are other options as well that we’re considering,” an official told Reuters.

The official said with the current situation, Biden cannot access classified information, as well as federal funds to pay salaries, consultants, travel expenses, among others.

Make Money with Your Blog in 2021

You want to make money, right? Of course you do. Everyone wants – and needs -to make money. So you started a blog since you’ve heard it’s an easy way to make cash, but you’re not quite sure how to actually make money doing it. Or maybe you already have a blog and you’re exploring ways to monetize it.

No matter which group you’re in, making money with a blog – whether it’s a hobby blog or a business blog –is possible. It’s not a get rich quick ordeal, but if you do it right, you could make enough to support your family and more. Let’s dive in and see how you can make a profit with your blog.

Monetize with CPC or CPM Ads

One of the most common ways bloggers make money is through placing ads on their site. There are two popular types of ads:

  • CPC/PPC Ads: Cost per click (also called pay per click) ads are usually banners that you place in your content or sidebar. Each time a reader clicks on the ad, you are paid for that click.
  • CPM Ads: CPM Ads, or “cost per 1,000 impressions,” are ads that pay you a fixed amount of money based on how many people view your ad.

Perhaps the most popular network for placing these types of ads is Google AdSense. With this program, you do not need to be in direct contact with advertisers; you simply place the banner on your site, Google chooses ads relevant to your content, and your viewers click on the ads. There are countless similar programs available if you find that AdSense doesn’t work for you, such as Chitika, Infolinks, and Media.net.

Sell Private Ads

Working with advertising networks isn’t your only option when it comes to selling ads. If you end up with enough traffic, advertisers may come directly to you and ask you to place their ad on your site. You can also contact advertisers yourself. The biggest difference from the above mentioned option is that there is no middle man, which means you can set your own ad rates.

Selling private ads can come in the form of banners, buttons, or links. You can even make money writing sponsored posts where you write about or give a review of an advertiser’s product or service. Another option is to write an underwritten post or series, which is where you can write about any topic, but the advertiser pays for a “Brought to you by” mention in the content.

The ways you make money with this can vary. For instance, you might charge a one-time fee for a link within a post. If you are hosting banner ads, you might charge your partner monthly.

Bonus tip: To maximize your income, you can also choose to sell sponsorship space in your email newsletters (here are 5 best email marketing software), podcasts, and videos.

Include Affiliate Links in Your Content

Affiliate marketing is also another great tool for monetizing your blog. Here is how affiliate marketing works:

  1. An advertiser has a product she wants to sell. She agrees to give you a commission from each sale if the buyer is coming from your site.
  2. She gives you a unique link that tracks your affiliate code. That way, she knows when a buyer used your link to make a purchase.
  3. You include your affiliate link on your site. You can do this directly in the content or through banner ads. If a reader clicks on your unique link and buys the product you have recommended, you earn a percentage of what she purchased.

You can utilize affiliate marketing through ad networks like Amazon Associates, or you can create private partnerships with advertisers and businesses with an affiliate program.

Sell Digital Products

If you would rather not advertise other people’s products on your site, or if you are looking for another stream of income, consider selling digital products. This can include items like:

  • eBooks
  • Online courses/workshops
  • Images, video, or music people can use in their own content
  • Apps, plugins, or themes

Just remember that if you are going to choose one of these avenues that you make it relevant and useful to your readers. A lot of bloggers make the mistake of assuming they are developing a product their readers need; listen to your readers first, and then create a digital product that will meet their needs.

Use it as a Content Marketing Tool for Your Business

It is also possible to sell physical products on your blog and to make money that way. Instead of thinking of it as making money from your blog, however, think of your blog as a content marketing tool that will drive visitors to your business website.

The possibilities are practically endless when it comes to developing a business blog. You could sell hand-made products, books, manufactured products, and so much more. Or you might already have a business and decide to start a blog to convert loyal customers.

Lets say, for example, that you refurbish and resell used smartphones out of your home. You could use a blog to attract visitors to your website where you list your current phones for sale. Your blog might cover topics about DIY refurbishing. On one level, it seems counterintuitive because you want people to buy your phones, but it also helps you build a brand and gain recognition. Social media guru Jay Baer explains the concept on Copyblogger:

I was at a conference a few years ago, and this is where I first sort of started thinking about this concept, and their founder, Robert Johnson, was speaking…

He said, “Well our best customers are the people that think they can fix it themselves.”

But eventually you are going to get out of your depth either on that project on a project down the road, at which point who are you going to call? Are you going to call somebody randomly that you discovered on Google or are you going to call the guys who you just watched their logo in the corner of a 14-minute instructional video?

This concept can also be applied to services in all types of industries. For instance, if you offered electronic repair services as opposed to physical products, you could still use the same blogging concept to increase brand awareness and convert more clients.

Sell Memberships

Another option to make money is to sell memberships to exclusive corners of your website. For instance, a career blog might charge $10 per month for users to gain access to their job board. A startup business blog might sell memberships to their forums where people can get personalized advice about their business.

The key here is that your exclusive membership has to be more valuable than something your visitors can find for free somewhere else, so be sure you̢۪re developing something of value and worth the price.

Use it to Build Your Credibility

Blogging to build credibility can lead to many money-making opportunities. For instance, let us say you start a blog in the finance industry. People start reading your content, and your blog becomes very popular. You are now a recognized figure in the finance industry.

Once you have that authority, people might approach you to co-author a book on debt management, or you could charge to speak at conferences or to run employee financial training days.

This certainly isn’t a direct form of making money blogging, but it has worked for many well-known bloggers, and it can work for you, too. If you’re looking for a direct revenue stream, popular blogs have sold for 4-7 figures (sometimes more) by selling their branding and content.

The biggest thing to keep in mind is that making money blogging is not possible by putting your site up and letting it sit there. The “if you build it, they will come” mentality doesn’t work here, so be sure you’re willing to put in the time. Most bloggers don’t see a spike of income for several months (sometimes years) after starting their blog. Before you dive too deep into blogging, remember these little bits of advice:

Create Quality Content

You are not going to make any money from your blog if people don’t read it. After all, your readers are the ones who are going to make you money, whether they’re clicking on your ads or buying your products. Always put your readers first.

Don’t Spend Your Time Exclusively on Your Blog

Developing a successful blog has a lot to do with building relationships. That can include relationships with sponsors, affiliate partners, or simply other bloggers who will direct traffic to your blog. Be sure some of your time is spent on forums and other blogs (or whatever works for you) to build these relationships and your blog.

Don’t Be Afraid to Experiment

Not all of these tips and avenues of income are going to work for you. Don’t be afraid to tweak your methods to see what works best for you and your readers.

Making money blogging can take a lot of persistence, but it can pay off in the long-run if you’re starting out from scratch. Just remember that you don’t have to use all of these money-making avenues at once. Consider what other people in your industry are doing, and start from there.

Over time, you will learn what works for you and what doesn’t. If you’re looking to make money from your blog, which option will you start with?

Let me know in the comment section :).

How to make money from blogspot

We'll be honest: blogging isn't the easiest way to make money. But, the great thing is that anyone can do it, and it looks amazing on your CV.

All you need is something interesting to say and enough patience and dedication to build traffic and a following. But how do successful bloggers make their money? We've interviewed a couple of them to reveal their monetisation secrets.

Our guide gives you a concrete action plan to get your blog off the ground and grow it into a profitable little business from home.

Getting started with blogging can seem like a bit of a minefield, particularly if you don't have much tech knowledge.

You have two main options when it comes to actually setting up a blog – you can use a free blogging platform, or you can create your own website. We'll take you through both, and outline their pros and cons, so you can make the right decision for you and your blog.

Best for: Casual bloggers and those not interested in making money from their blog.

Pros: Super easy to set up and completely free.

Cons: Limits on customisation and video/image uploads, you often can't place adverts or use affiliate links, you can't create a custom URL and the platform retains the right to delete your blog.

A lot of platforms will allow you to set up a blog for free, and they're super easy to use. If you're just wanting to blog casually at first, this could suit you well.

But, free blogging platforms can be very limiting. You'll only be able to customise to a limited extent, and your blog will have a storage limit which could make it harder to upload large videos and images.

Another drawback is that your blog URL will be something like with the platform branding.

Most free blogging platforms also don't allow you to place banner adverts or affiliate links on your site, which are key revenue streams for most bloggers.

However, if these things don't bother you, here's a quick rundown of the best free online blogging platforms.

Best blogging sites

  • WordPress.com  This is a free basic blog hosting service that's easy to use. You'll have to put up with WordPress ads and branding unless you pay a monthly fee, and you can't put ads on your site. There are also limited options for customisation and expansion.
  • Blogger  Google's free blog hosting service, Blogger, is really simple to use. But, the customisation and design options are very limited, and there aren't a lot of options if you want to add new features.
  • Medium  With Medium, the emphasis is on the writing rather than design, and it's used by lots of journalists, writers and experts. It's a great way to share your work with a particular community, but you can't run any ads and it's difficult to create your own personal branding.
  • Best for: Dedicated bloggers and those looking to make money from their blog

Pros: Complete control over design and customisation, your own custom URL and the ability to use adverts and affiliate links how you like

Cons: You'll have to pay – firstly for your domain name (URL) and then for hosting, but we've got tips on keeping costs low.

If you're not particularly tech-savvy, the thought of creating your own website might seem quite scary – but it's actually pretty easy to do, and you can create one in just 20 minutes.

Save the Student's founder, Owen, has written an easy-to-follow, step-by-step guide to show you how to start a website.

With your own website, you'll be able to create unique personal branding (with your own URL), and there's no risk of your blog being deleted by the platform – you'll own the site and be in complete control.

WordPress has an insane amount of templates or 'themes' for you to choose from – take your time to decide on one which suits both your personality and the topic of your blog.

Opt for something clear and simple, with space for large images and easy-to-read fonts (Comic Sans and Courier fonts are no-nos).

  • This can either be the easiest or the hardest part of starting your blog.

The most important thing at this stage is to choose a niche which you can call yourself an authority in – the biggest mistake new bloggers make in such a crowded blogosphere is starting a blog without trying to do something surprising or different.

For example, if fashion's your thing, instead of combining generic fashion content, you could combine your love for clothes with your big-hearted concern for the environment by blogging about environmentally-conscious designers instead?

These are the best ways to find a topic for your new blog:

    1. Look at other blogs  This should be your first port of call. What's already successful? And more importantly, what's missing? Find the gaps in the market.
    2. Use Google  What are people searching for? Use Google suggested searches and auto-complete to discover what people are looking for – if they're searching for it, that shows there's a demand.
    3. Search forums for common FAQs – When people can't find answers to their questions, they go to forums. What are they asking? What do they need advice on? This will show what people are interested in and what there's a lack of available information on.
    4. Track current trends – What topics are in the media right now? It's good to pick a topic with longevity, but if you can piggy-back on a trend early on, you can quickly establish yourself as an expert on it before anyone else. Searching #journorequest on Twitter shows what kind of themes journalists are currently reporting on.
    5. Think about different types of content – Could you do tutorials/how-to guides? Reviews? Interviews? Lists? It might not be what you write about, but how you write which sets you apart.
    6. Identify your own interests and passions – While all of the above are important, there's no point in blogging about something you have zero interest in. You'll quickly get bored and people will spot your lack of enthusiasm. Write about something you really, truly care about.
    7. Once you've created your website, come up with a kick-ass blog topic and you've published your first posts, the big question is – where are all the readers?

You can't just expect people to magically find your blog and start reading it. You have to promote it!

Here are the best and easiest ways to get more readers for your blog:

NEWS : US election Pastor Chris Oyakhilome reveals why Trump is ‘hated’ by many

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome of Believers Love World popularly known as Christ Embassy has said that US President, Donald Trump, is hated by many because of his support for Christians and the tenets of the Christian faith.

Oyakhilome in a viral video said many are angry at Trump because he didn’t come for their sponsorship.

According to the cleric, things will not be calm if Trump is out of office.

”There are those who think that Trump, the President of the United States, is hated by many Americans. He is not hated by many Americans. I want to tell you the truth. He is not hated, Trump is not the problem. They don’t hate Trump. They hate those that Trump seems to support.

”They are angry at Trump for supporting Christians. So the real ones they hate are you who are Christians. That is what the hatred of Trump is all about. It’s got nothing to do with Trump.

”Before he started giving his voice in support of Christians and before he started giving his voice in support of Israel, he was their darling, they loved him. But because he didn’t come for their sponsorship and they didn’t expect him to become President, they blamed the Christians for voting him into office and that is what they hate him for.

”If you are a Christian, better know this. Don’t think that if we just get Trump out of the way then everything will just calm. It will not be calm. They hate you and he seems to protect you, that is the problem.”he added.

Meanwhile, Joe Biden emerged winner of the keenly contested election on Saturday after polling over 270 electoral college votes.

Although the general elections ended on Tuesday, November 3, 2020, it took county officials 4 days to tally the ballots.
