Nigerians have suffered gross deprivations, right to be angry – Maharaj Ji tells Buhari

The founder of One Love Family, Satguru Maharaj Ji, has said that Nigerians have genuine reasons to be angry with the present government.

He said the people had suffered gross deprivations and denials by their leaders.

Maharaj Ji made this declaration while addressing journalists at a press conference held at the weekend in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.

Maharaj Ji, while reacting to various condemnations that trailed the recent increments in the price of petroleum and electricity tariff, said that Nigerians have good reasons to be angry.

He said “No doubts, Nigerians have good reasons to be angry having suffered gross deprivations and denials by the leaders from enjoying their natural endowments given free by the Creator. But then, two wrongs cannot make a right.

“Hence, I am appealing that organized Labour Movements must imbibe the culture of dialogue and exercise restraints in the way they go about seeking redress against social injustices meted out to Nigerians, with a view to effecting a turn around in the social conditions of the people.

“Like I have always said, dialogue remains the best option in resolving issues for guaranteed peace and progress rather than calling out Nigerians on the streets.

“On this note, I commend them for the show of maturity so far in resolving issues surrounding the hike in fuel price and electricity tariff. The tempo should be sustained till final victory is won, because any strike action this time will be counter-productive and will not augur well for state security, considering the precarious state of national economy, which is still wobbling under the yoke of COVID-19 global lockdown.

“On the other hand, the government should wake up to its constitutional responsibilities to the people by introducing more palliative measures to cushion the harsh effects brought about by the fuel price increase and electricity tariff.

“As a matter of fact, as part of its social responsibilities to the people, the Federal Government should take-over the power sector from the economic vampires who are currently toying with the fate of the common man and stalling our socio-economic development through epileptic power supply and arbitrary tariffs.

“I have severally made it clear that as an oil producing nation, the pump price of petrol should be determined by the physical age of Mr. President. In other words, if Mr. President is 76 years, the pump price should be fixed at N76.00 per litre”.

Ohanaeze blows hot as PDP says Atiku can be presidential candidate

Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Council Worldwide,

OYC, has described the recent statement by the National Chairman of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Uche Secondus that the 2023 presidential ticket is open to all as an affront against Igbo.

The youth wing of the apex Igbo organisation said that the statement showed that PDP has no regards for Igbo.

OYC pointed out that the Igbo had been loyal to the PDP for the past 21 years.

OYC, however, said the PDP National Working Committee, NWC, led by Secondus should be commended for responding to the 7 days ultimatum given to PDP to respond on the alleged plot to deny Igbos the party’s presidential ticket come 2023.

In a statement signed by Mazi Okechukwu Isiguzoro, President General and Mazi Okwu Nnabuike, Secretary General, the group said “It is unimaginable mistake and mischievous decision to see Igbo unworthy to fly PDP presidential ticket in 2023.

“This development will surely attract severe sanctions against PDP in the 2023 election, as OYC will mobilise necessary actionable measures that will make the party lose their strongholds in Southeast in the future elections.

“Its cleverly designed and clearly seen to all that 2023 Igbo presidency project had been murdered in PDP, its obvious that the party doesn’t need Igbo votes in the future.

“its sheer betrayal of trust and Igbos are not fools. We expect that in the near future, there will be inevitable mass exodus of Igbo from PDP to any Political Party that will guarantee the political aspirations and realisations of Igbo Presidency Project.”

OYC called on Igbos to accept their fate in PDP and take action through aggressive sanctions against any Igbo that accepts VP slot in exchange of 2023 Igbo Presidency.

“If APC guarantees Igbo Presidency project, there will be mass exodus and defection to the Party,” the OYC said.

Igbo group seeks pardon for pro-Biafran detainees

An apex socio-cultural Igbo youth group, Ohaneze Youth Council (OYC) has appealed to the federal government to grant presidential pardon to all pro-Biafran detainees in the spirit of independence.

In a communiqué signed by the National President of the group, Igboayaka O Igboayaka, he said it was unfortunate that at sixty years of Nigeria, the problem that led to the Nigeria-Biafran civil war has multiplied to a larger proportion.

“Let me say it without fear or favour that it is only by God’s intervention that the country has not experienced a yet another civil war.

“With the happenings in Nigeria, the marginalization, injustice, wickedness, hate, extra-judicial killings and oppressive government against Ndigbo and other minor ethnicities in Nigeria, the country should have been due for another round of civil war.

“Unfortunately, since 2015, the country’s division has increased from 70% to 99%. This is shameful!

“Today, we are 60 and are merely celebrating a theoretical Nigeria independence with new neocolonialism. I want to say, without mincing words, that Nigeria is still a toddler at 60. Nigeria needs a civilian president like late General Sani Abacha.

“We are celebrating Nigeria at 60 with so much hate against the Igbo race that has contributed to a large extent, the growth and development of the country.

“We, therefore, challenge the president to prove his claims as a patriotic Nigerian and grant a presidential pardon to all the pro-Biafran detainees.

“Until he does that, the country’s 60th Independence as celebrated by all Nigerians need not be given importance,” he urged.

Finally, he said that the President by that singular act of patriotism will register his name as African Peace Ambassador and a hero of democracy.

Nnamdi Kanu reveals when Nigeria ended

Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu, has declared that Nigeria is already no more.

According to Kanu, the country ended when it was allegedly restructured to the advantage of one part.

Nigeria is celebrating her 60th Independence Day today, October 1, 2020.

And in a tweet, the UK-based secessionist leader, said, “Nigeria ENDED when it was unilaterally restructured to the oppressive advantage of one part of the many parts that founded Nigeria.”

He called on those from the areas he described as the disadvantaged parts to join the ongoing sit-at-home in some parts of the country.

“If you’re from the parts that got disadvantaged, #SitAtHomeOnOct1st to tell them that you no longer wish to be a slave to #Fulani irredentism. “

The Indigenous People of Biafra has said that compliance of people in the South-East and South-West to the sit-at-home order

put in place to protest bad governance in Nigeria on Thursday was proof that the majority of citizens were no longer interested in one Nigeria.

Emma Powerful, Media and Publicity Secretary for IPOB in a statement on Thursday hailed it as a step towards the dissolving Nigeria.

The statement reads, “Today’s sit-at-home order issued by the global movement of the Indigenous People of Biafra on October 1, 2020 is totally successful in so many states and cities in Biafraland. All states in Biafraland complied with the order.

“The compliance of this order is to showcase our readiness for the speedy coming of Biafra freedom and independence. There is an empty market, roads, no vehicles on the road of Biafra and Biafrans all over the world are on the streets of their respective countries where they find themselves with our brethren from Oduduwa nation.

“We thank our people in South Africa, USA, Canada, Britain, France, Japan, Germany, Indonesia, Australia, and other countries of the world for their resoluteness and declared to the world that we are no longer interested in Nigeria. The whole world must understand that IPOB cannot go back to Nigeria.

“This is our joint outing with Oduduwa nation across the globe therefore everybody must understand and be sure that the disintegration of this British bondage called Nigeria will be dissolved in peace.”

Orji Kalu under fire for boasting he can bring back Nnamdi Kanu from UK

The Biafra Nations Youth League, BNYL, has attacked former Governor of Abia State, Orji Uzor Kalu, for boasting that he can bring back Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, to Nigeria.

Senator Kalu had yesterday pleaded with President Muhammadu Buhari government to allow him convince Kanu to stop his Biafra agitation.

National Leader of BNYL, Princewill Chimezie Richard, in a statement forwarded to DAILY POST on Wednesday, said that some Igbo politicians are opportunists using the name of Biafra to seek relevance in Nigeria politics.

“What Orji Kalu is saying is rhetoric, as an Igbo man he knows deep down his heart that Biafra is a spirit, kill any of us the struggle continues,” he said

“Arrest and any of us, the struggle continues. Whoever that he may manage to convince to end the agitation, the struggle continues.

“Biafra project is not funded by politicians but freewill donations by Biafrans abroad.”

He said that the BNYL will come up with a strategy on how to use their grassroots structures to frustrate erring politicians in their region.

He warned that should the politicians become a hindrance to restoration of Biafra it could lead to frustration of Igbo Presidency 2023.

IPOB declares sit-at-home for October 1

IPOB said its members would join its Yoruba counterparts agitating for Oduduwa Republic, in public protests, to mark the day.

Proscribed secessionist group, Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), has declared October 1, 2020, as sit-at-home across the Southeast.

The group said the decision followed credible intelligence alleging terrorist groups’ plan to “slaughter” people of the region who intend to celebrate Independence Day.

PREMIUM TIMES could not independently verify the authenticity of the group’s claim.

In a statement by the Media and Publicity Secretary, Emma Powerful, IPOB said its members would join its Yoruba counterparts agitating for Oduduwa Republic, in public protests, to mark the day.

The pro-Biafran group stressed that a complete and total lockdown of ‘Biafraland’ and other terror ravaged areas of the Middle Belt come October 2020 was sacrosanct, irreversible and non-negotiable.

It enjoined all Biafrans and every conscious Nigerian to boycott every government organised ceremony designed to eulogise Nigeria.

The statement partly reads: “We the global movement of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) ably led by our great Leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, wish to announce to all Biafrans, friends of Biafra and lovers of freedom all over the world that Biafrans across the globe shall observe a sit-at-home in Biafraland and where permissible in the diaspora, join our Yoruba brethren agitating for Oduduwa Republic, in public protests to mark the October 1, 2020.

“We therefore, enjoin all Biafrans and every conscious Nigerian, especially those ethnic nationalities reeling from the triple double blow of state sponsored terrorism, bad governance and economic annihilation, to boycott every government organised ceremony designed to eulogise the failure that Nigeria has become.

“This is the time to let the world know how disastrously intolerable human existence is in Nigeria today.

If you want to see an end to terrorism and organised mediocrity, now is the time to register your anger by ensuring that you and your household sit-at-home on October 1, 2020. Do not risk the life and well-being of your children by allowing them to gather in groups in the open where terrorists may find it easier to blow them up or kidnap them.

“There is credible intelligence that terrorist groups are planning to slaughter our children should they venture out to celebrate or March on October 1st.

“This order is to highlight our position and resolve as Biafrans that we are no longer interested in propping up a crumbling terrorist state.
