IPOB : Is Nnamdi Kanu Dead? His Secretary Reveals Truth About Rumoured Death

Biafra: Is Nnamdi Kanu Dead? His Secretary Reveals Truth About Rumoured Death

Amaka Ekwo the secretary to Nnamdi Kanu, has reacted to the #RIPNnamdiKanu trending on the micro-blogging site, Twitter, saying that the  IPOB leader is alive.

Naija News had reported earlier controversial journalist, Kemi Olunloyo said the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu is dead.

This online news platform understands that the news of Nnamdi Kanu’s death first emerged on the micro-blogging site, Twitter last week when Miss Olunloyo tweeted that the IPOB leader was dead and had been cremated in Italy.

However, a day after the tweet, Olunloyo took to Twitter again to retract her claims, saying she confirmed from Femi Fani-Kayode, a former Nigerian Minister who is Nnamdi Kanu’s ally, that the IPOB leader is hale and hearty and not dead as earlier claimed by her.

Naija News had reported earlier that Kanu delivered a live broadcast on Sunday on Radio Biafra, where he accused the people in Aso Rock and Chinese doctors of being responsible for the deaths in Kano state, northern Nigeria.

“I said, right now people are dying in Kano, the people to hold responsible are the people in Aso Rock. People are dying now in their numbers in the North. Before the Chinese came, were people dying like this?” The IPOB leader asked.

Reacting to the live broadcast, Olunloyo insisted that Nnamdi Kanu is dead and that person that spoke as the IPOB leader during the live broadcast on Radio Biafra on Sunday, was “physically in Nigeria doing his voice over.”

The controversial journalist tweeted: Nnamdi Kanu has died and gone. The person on a radio/video show yesterday didn’t have to hide their face. That person was physically in Nigeria doing his voice over. As a broadcaster, I can do voices of many public figures.”

Nnamdi Kanu Explodes Over Deaths In Kano, Fingers Aso Rock, China

#RIPNnamdiKanu: Nigerians React To Nnamdi Kanu's Rumoured Death

The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, has accused the people in Aso Rock, Nigeria’s Presidential Villa and China of being responsible for the mysterious deaths recorded in Kano State, northern Nigeria.

Naija News reports that over 600 people have been reported to have died in Kano in the past one week, with the state commissioner for information, Muhammad Garba, saying in a statement on Sunday that the government is putting measures in place to keep all residents safe.

The commissioner said the Kano state government has been commended from within and outside the state over the proactive measures it took to check the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19) in the northern state.

“This explains why Kano, apart from being the most populace state, did not record a case of the pandemic until lately. Though we agree that the situation on hand currently is serious, we are not resting on our oars in taking appropriate measures to ensure that the good people of Kano state, and indeed, residents in the state protect themselves from the novel COVID-19 pandemic,” the commissioner said.

However, reacting to the deaths in Kano during a live broadcast on Radio Biafra on Sunday evening, Kanu, who is on exile, said people were not dying in Kano before the Chinese doctors arrived in Nigeria, adding that “the people to hold responsible are the people in Aso Rock.”

His words: “Depopulation agenda is going on and the Nigerian govt brought this upon the people. I told you that if you bring the Chinese you will die. CAN is now time for prayers, everybody is a scammer.

It was a Nigerian that went to China and brought the Chinese to come and kill people in Kano.

“I told Nigerians, mark the number of mortality you have now and check the one you had when the Chinese came.

“I said, right now people are dying in Kano, the people to hold responsible are the people in Aso Rock. People are dying now in their numbers in the North. Before the Chinese came, were people dying like this?” The IPOB leader asked.

BIAFRA : Relaxing COVID-19 lockdown is ‘arrant nonsense’ – Biafra group blasts governors

The Biafra Nations Youth League, BNYL, on Sunday described the relaxation of the COVID-19 lockdown by some Governors as “arrant nonsense”.

BNYL made the remark in a reaction to the statewide broadcast by the Anambra State Governor, Willie Obiano who said churches and markets should reopen but state boundaries should remain closed.

The group said it prefers “lockdown to relaxation”.

It stated this in a statement sent to DAILY POST by Chinwo Mekaoke, Special Assistant on Social Media to it’s Deputy National Leader, Ebuta Takon Akor.

According to the statement, the group, ”is still not comfortable with the relaxation, a total lockout should be done to avoid youthful reactions.”

The statement reads: “The government cannot be playing pranks with peoples survival, the relaxation is not enough, it is arrant nonsense, we demand total lockout and not relaxation.”

BNYL also dismissed reports of massive deaths in Kano, adding that it was a trick to create fears and prolong the lockdown nationwide.

“If such a thing happened, then the Almajiris have infected the state with a disease and not Coronavirus,” the statement added.

BIAFRA : COVID-19 Biafra youth group warns govt against lockdown extension

A youth organisation, the Biafra Nations Youth League, BNYL, on Thursday warned that any “further extension of the COVID-19 lockdown could lead to the kidnap of government officials in coastal areas.

BNYL also warned that the lockdown extension may result in resistance against security agencies at state borders because of boredom among the people.

“People are already tired of staying idle and are no longer afraid of Coronavirus.” The group said

The group’s Deputy National Leader, Ebuta Takon Akor gave the warning while reacting to the decision of the Nigeria Governors Forum to extend lockdown for another 14 days.

Recall that the forum had said the  will help tackle the spread of COVID-19.

However, Akor in a statement signed and sent to DAILY POST said governors do not govern animals and would not be allowed to cage the citizens.

“Since the lockdown of the country, there have been reports of an increase and spread of the virus.

“It was of no use to keep locking down the country since the figures keep increasing.”

BIAFRA : Herdsmen still killing our people despite COVID-19 lockdown – Biafra group alleges

The Biafra Nations Youth League, BNYL, on Wednesday decried the Nigerian government’s failure to clamp down on killer herdsmen ravaging communities despite the COVID-19 lockdown.

BNYL was reacting to the recent herdsmen attacks across the nation.

The group lamented that herdsmen were freely crossing state borders despite the lockdown.

Deputy National Leader of BNYL, Takon Akor, said that the people that have died in the hands of the herders recently “have surpassed those allegedly killed by the novel Coronavirus.”

In a statement signed and sent to DAILY POST, BNYL said security agencies are focused on killing and arresting innocent people in the Southeast for violating lockdown orders but cannot locate herdsmen who are freely moving and crossing border states to kill people.

Akor said: “They have not arrested or killed any single herder, but we keep hearing of the killings at Onitsha and other areas. I challenge them to haunt the Fulani killers who are freely crossing state borders despite lockdown.

“We can choose to disrespect this lockdown and mobilize our men to set the Fulani residents in the bushes on fire.

“We know where they hide in Benue, and from Obudu and Bekwara to where they are in Vendeikya is walkable. As it stands, we have access to Benue despite this lockdown; we are also wanderers like them because we are both local and international cross border group and capable of matching them down”.
