What will happen if Igbo produces Nigeria’s next president – BNYL

This declaration was made by the group’s Secretary-General, Ordu Jeoffrey Nwosoiba and was contained in a statement forwarded to BIAFRA NEWS UPDATE

Biafra Nations Youth League, BNYL, on Tuesday declared that the struggle for Biafra will continue even if the South East produced Nigeria’s next President.
BNYL said people of the South East have sacrificed a lot in their push for Biafra, hence the struggle can’t be jettisoned for Presidency.
He said, “Biafra will continue even if Nigeria decides to allow President of Igbo extraction. The demands for a separate state of Biafra remains sacrosanct.
“The people of the region have sacrificed a lot for Biafra that it is no longer possible to drop the agenda for Igbo Presidency,
“Though we are not a hindrance to Igbo Presidency, but it should be noted that even after Igbo Presidency Biafra will not die.”
Nwosoiba also declared that the group enjoys a large followership especially in the South-south geopolitical zone, adding that all those who were arrested at Bayelsa junction on their way to the inauguration of Biafra National Council, BNC, officiated by Chief Dokubo Asari on 17 august 2019 were all indigenes of Rivers State, Cross River and Akwa Ibom.
He lamented that it will be “too difficult for them to adopt Igbo Presidency instead of Biafra which is our right.”
Nwosoiba admitted that his people are Igbo speaking but are yet to be fully integrated into Igbo union due to the identity crisis in Rivers State caused by the civil war.

biafrans : IPOB seeks freedom for 27 pro-Biafra agitators

‘No IPOB member arrested in Ebonyi’

IPOB Media and Publicity Secretary Emma Powerful said in a statement that those carrying weapons on the streets of Southeast are not IPOB members, but herdsmen.

THE outlawed Indigenous Peoples of Biafra (IPOB) on Thursday demanded for the release of 27 pro-Biafra agitators being held by the Nigerian Army and Police.
The group said although the detainees are not IPOB members, they deserve freedom from endless molestation by the security agents.
The IPOB reaction came on the heels of the handing over of over 27 pro-Biafra protesters to the Abia State Police Command by soldiers from 14 Brigade Headquarters of the Nigerian Army, Ohafia.
The protesters, 23 male and four females – were arrested by soldiers in Aba by soldiers attached to the Ngwa High School Forward Operation Base (FOB) under the 144 Battalion Headquarters.
A military sources said the pro-Biafra protesters were members of the Biafran Army; an arm of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), a claim that the IPOB spokesman, Comrade Powerful had debunked.
According to the source, members of the group were marching towards the Osisioma axis of the Aba-Owerri Expressway when they were accosted by soldiers on duty.
The source disclosed that a first aid box, charms and AK47 rifle belonging to a police sergeant who was killed in Aba last week were found in the possession of the group.
He said: “We got information from our men on the ground in the town that a group of IPOB members was demonstrating. On reaching our gate, we approached them with the aim of discouraging them from continuing with the protest.
“It was while we were talking to them that one of the soldiers sighted one of them bringing out a gun from a sack bag. The soldier fired at him and we secured the gun. One of them running away, had a pistol fell off from him which he later picked and continued running away.
“Army doesn’t prosecute. It is the duty of the police to do so. IPOB remains proscribed and its activity is illegal. So, the hand over is to enable police to continue with the investigation and possible prosecution.”
It was gathered that the pro-Biafra group members who were taken to Umuahia, the Abia State capital, in a coaster bus would be arraigned in court after police may have concluded their investigation.
Powerful, who denied that those paraded by soldiers were IPOB members, however, said it behooves the group to demand their immediate release.
He said: “While we maintain that those unfortunate victims seen on video being molested by Nigerian soldiers are not IPOB family members, we, nonetheless, demand for their unconditional release. If the reason for this blatantly stage-managed arrest and accompanying evocative and misleading press statement by the Nigerian army is to dent the global image of IPOB, then, they have failed spectacularly.
“Those that Nigerian Army claimed they arrested are not IPOB family members. The only people moving around in Biafraland with illegal weapons such as the AK47 Buratai’s henchmen alluded to in their laughable press release are their fellow herdsmen.”
IPOB said it was very pathetic that the Nigerian Army will abandon her constitutional role of defending the borders and protecting lives and properties and  descend on those excercising their legitimate right to self-determination.

BIAFRA IN UN, Kanu, and IPOB

It is now also dawning on the rest of the world that Kanu’s IPOB is a malady with a methodology for manipulating its adoption as a “liberation” movement for “oppressed Biafrans”,

ultimately aimed at the Indigenous Peoples incubator of rebelling separatist groups in the UN.

On September 13, 2019, IPOB posted “UN vows to expel Nigeria if Buhari fails to allow Biafra to be created,” as the title of a Youtube video that went viral on Facebook.

However, the video did not show any thing relating to the claim that the United Nations has resolved to expel Nigeria if President Buhari did not allow Biafra to be created.

In fact, the first half of the video was from an episode of The Core, a show on Channels Television, titled Biafra: A Metaphor for Restructuring. The second half showed Nnamdi Kanu addressing a group of people.

By now the media hype of an imminent “storming” of the 2019 United Nations General Assembly in New York by the delusory Nnamdi Kanu at the head of an IPOB delegation must have achieved his sinister agenda of bamboozling the ignorant and misled Igbo youths.

The self-destructive impetus of the Biafran pursuit, even among its conscripted clan members, was recently targeted at Kanu’s former “elders” with the near fatal “Nuremburg trial” of Ikeremadu followed by the declaration of Europe a “no go area” for Igbo leaders.

A few days later it was the European Union’s turn for an internet scam that shared a picture on Facebook and Twitter claiming to show Nnamdi Kanu addressing the European Parliament.

The picture was captioned “Breaking news. IPOB Leader Nnamdi Kanu and Deputy Uche Mefor shakes (sic) European Union Parliament in Brussels. EU says Kanu, IPOB not terrorist

organization. UN official hands Kanu invitation inside EU Parliament.”  It was later discovered that the picture was an edited version of a photo that showed former Georgian president Mikheil Saakashvili addressing the parliament in 2006. Virtually everything about Nnamdi Kanu and IPOB is maniacal make-believe!

This confounding conclusion is irresistible when supposedly reputable international technocrats such as Agnes Callamard,

United Nations Special Rapporteur for Extrajudicial, Summary or Arbitrary Execution confers credibility on Kanu/IPOB by devoting a substantial portion of her recent official assignment in Nigeria to what is now beyond any doubt a huge hoax.

At the end of her visit, Madam Special Rapporteur sounded more like a femme fatale of the sovereignty and stability of Nigeria at a press conference where she bemoaned “the repression of the Indigenous People of Biafra,  IPOB” , and wailed that,

“the security response is dangerously quasi-prospective, with individuals, communities and associations actively targeted for what they may have done decades ago, or for what they may do or may become, rather than for what they are doing or have done.”

The UN agent provocateur exposed her dishonest dalliance with Nnamdi Kanu’s covert mission by giving the most falsified and biased account of the events leading to his unlawful departure from the country without any reference to his court arraignment or jumping bail. All she claimed to know is that “the IPOB leader went in exile and some of its followers remain disappeared since then.

Following this event, the Federal High Court in Abuja proscribed IPOB and designated it as a terrorist group”. Agnes Callimard thereby turned deaf ears and feigned ignorance of the series of contemptuous denunciations of Nigeria’s sovereignty and Government,

provocative challenge of legitimacy and authority of national security and defense forces, brazen formation and parading of private militia and open threats of terrorist activity for which Nnamdi Kanu and IPOB are notorious at home and abroad.

She was exclusively interested in the prejudiced delimitation of her brief to highlight exaggerated alarmist narratives on necessary functions of law enforcement,

security and defense forces whilst covering up the well-documented activities that attract such intervention.

So Madam Provocateur was vociferous in reference to “police and military excessive use of lethal force in violation of applicable international standards, the militarization of policing” and “quasi-prospective security responses”

(!?) Only briefly does she manage to acknowledge that the same measures “may have halted the progress of the insecurity at least on the surface and reduced the rates of killings” and “the increasing criminality, conflicts and security hot-points”.

Perhaps Agnes Callimard will go a step further to give us the “international standard” purpose of nations having law enforcement,

security and defense agencies other than to protect and preserve the sovereignty and internal stability against external aggression and  domestic threats! But, Agnes Callimard is just doing what she is paid to do by her UN employer.

The UN is obviously working at the next level after the adoption of Resolution 6/295 in September 2007 as the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous People.

For the avoidance of doubt, its Article 5 unequivocally declares “Indigenous peoples have the right to maintain and strengthen their distinct political, legal, eco-nomic, social and cultural

institutions, while retaining their right to participate fully, IF THEY SO CHOOSE, in the political, economic, social and cultural life” of their countries. May Nigeria survive and outlive their sinister schemes against its sovereignty.

But of course, in today’s world, especially after the international tragedy of using weapons of mass deception to contrive weapons of mass destruction so as to wage genocidal war against Iraq, such criminal creativity can have devastatingly real implications, and Kanu’s bizarre IPOB could indeed be madness with a method.

BIAFRA : Nnamdi Kanu speaks on abandoning Biafra agitation for Igbo presidency in 2023

Kanu said this during his second broadcast of the month on Radio Biafra on Monday, October 7, 2019.

The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu has said Igbo Presidency will not end the ongoing Biafra agitation

Kanu maintained that those clamouring for Igbo Presidency in 2023 were wasting their time.
The IPOB leader further stated that the: “Igbo presidency is a dream, it’s like second Niger bridge and Ogoni cleanup,” hence will not stop Biafra agitation
He said: “The claim that Igbo Presidency will stop Biafrans and others from agitating for Biafra does not hold water.
“The idea that the Igbo presidency will end the agitation for Biafra is nonsense.
“The Presidency coming to the South East in the year 2023, will not make the lives of those living in the region any better.
“ The Northern region of the country, has the presidency but still has beggars, banditry, and camps for Internally Displaced Persons, IDP.
“Having the presidency will not make your life better, Igbo presidency is a dream, it’s like second Niger bridge and Ogoni cleanup.
“IPOB’s mission to #FreeBiafra from Nigeria is divine and unstoppable. We shall continue to expose every lie and unravel every conspiracy against IPOB and Biafra.”

BIAFRA 2023 Igbo Presidency gaining momentum across board – Ohanaeze youths

The group made this known through a press statement signed by its President-General and the Secretary Mazi Okechukwu Isiguzoro and Mazi Okwu Nnabuike, respectively, and forwarded

Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Council Worldwide, on Wednesday, said Nigerians preferred the 2023 Igbo Presidency more than the pursuit of the creation of the sovereign state of Biafra by IPOB.

According to them: “2023 Igbo Presidency project is gaining momentum and attention seriously, considering the level of support it gained across-the-board. This shows that Nigerians opt for the project over Biafra, and Igbo Youths are driving the vehicle. So, it’s beyond the human comprehension.
“God will surely unite Igbos to present the likes of Zik of Africa and Dede Sam Mbakwe as quality Presidential Candidates in both PDP and APC. There is wide acceptance for Igbo Presidency project in 2023 and this will make IPOB an evaporative smoke.
“Prominent statesmen and leaders across-the-board had thrown support for 2023 Igbo Presidency. We will inaugurate a National Committee on Igbo Presidency project by November 1st, 2019, and this will be more acceptable, realisable and Nigeria’s date with justice, fairness and equity.
“We appreciate the Afenifere leader Pa Ayo Adebayo, the Ijaw leader Pa Edwin Clark, Authentic voice of the North Alhaji Balarabe Musa, Maj-Gen Ishola Williams, PDP BOT member Chief Ebenezer Babatope, and millions of Nigerian Youths, for the collective bargaining for a Nigerian President of Igbo stock in 2023.
“We are pursuing Igbo Presidency project 2023 in stages from the master plan designed by late Chuba Okadigbo in 2003 before he became the then running mate to General Muhammadu Buhari in defunct ANPP. This motivated Buhari to have assured Igbos prophetically in 2003 in a rally at Umuahia, that he’s destined to handover power to an Igbo Man and 20 years after by 2023, he will surely do that.
“We should desist from self-distructive tendencies. IPOB activities is projecting Igbo Presidency project 2023 unknowingly to them. We know that IPOB will support Igbo Presidency project in 2023, just like they supported the 2019 election after initial refusal, changing from” no referendum, no election” slogan, to ” it’s done and dusted.
“When the chips are down, IPOB will lead Igbo Presidency project as a means of negotiation and compensation. We are urging respected Igbo leaders to guide 2023 Igbo Presidency project from the rear. Igbo youths are fully in change, with huge fund to execute the assignment ” he stated.

BIAFRA : What we will do to Any Toll Gate Built in the South-East’ – MASSOB Warns Buhari

The Federal Government recently made known it decision to reinstall toll gates on federal roads across the country.

The Movement for the Actualisation of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB), has warned the Federal Government not to build toll gates in the South-East region

In a statement by its spokesman, Uchenna Madu, the secessionist group vowed to dismantle any toll gate sighted in the Igbo predominantly area.
Describing the policy as a wicked plot against the people of the region, the group said available data before it indicates that the region will have more toll gates than other regions, despite the deplorable state of federal roads in the area.
“The six states of South-South will have 21 toll gates; South-West with six states will have 22 toll gates; five states of the South-East 56 totalling 99 toll gates from the 17 southern states,” the group said.
“The seven states of North-West will have 12 toll gates; nine toll gates in six states of North-East; while six states of North Central will mount 14 toll gates totalling 35 toll points from 19 northern states.
“MASSOB observes that South-East with only five states have 56 tollgates, which is more than the entire 19 states of the Northern region with 35 tollgates. Even the Northern region that claims to have the highest population, yet, it will pay the lowest tollgate.
“Igbo states are higher with 21 tollgates and this is in conformity that Igbo land is under siege and exploitation.
“South-East has more Police checkpoints than any other region; has the greatest number of dilapidated federal roads; has the smallest land mass and the shortest distances from one point to the other when compared with other zones, and also has the worst road network in Nigeria.
“Igbo land and Biafra can never be an experimental ground for exhibition of wickedness, malice, hatred, genocides, police extra judicial killings, military terrorism, political subjections and unprovoked massacre of innocent and armless citizens.
“MASSOB condemn and insists that there will be no toll gates in Biafra land as wickedly proposed by the Nigeria government. MASSOB wonders how establishment of these toll gates in Nigeria will ever work,” the statement added.
