IPOB reveals details of Nnamdi Kanu’s meeting with EU Parliament

BIAFRA NEWS   reported that Nnamdi Kanu, on Tuesday took his agitation for the actualization of a Sovereign State called Biafra to the European Union parliament.

The Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, has revealed details of its leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu’s meeting with the European Union Parliament during its briefing session in Brussels, Belgium on Tuesday.

IPOB said “Mazi Kanu assured every Biafran after the meeting that his next diplomatic mission would be to the United Nations.”
The group added that the diplomatic move was designed to take Biafra freedom to another level, way beyond the imagination of the Nigerian government, before the end of this year.
IPOB said Kanu promised Biafrans that he would be in Washington DC and the United Nations to which the crowd erupted in spontaneous applause.
Media and Publicity Secretary of the group, Emma Powerful in a statement on Thursday, hailed the EU Parliament, especially the members that invited Kanu, describing it as a “historic meeting.”
He said “IPOB’s invitation to the parliament signified that the group was not only respected but regarded as a force for good in Africa.
“Events in Brussels has confirmed that Biafra restoration project was divinely ordained, hence all efforts by the Nigerian Government to intimidate and bully the organisers failed spectacularly.”
“The seed of Biafra self-determination had been planted in the heart of the EU.
“The more the Nigerian state fight IPOB, the stronger and more resolute we become. All their efforts failed woefully because (Chukwu Okike Abiama) God Almighty the creator of heaven and earth is on the side of the Biafran people.”

BIAFRA : Why Southern leaders should be blamed for underdevelopment of region

According to him, the South as a region is divided with weak and cowardly leaders who put the interest of the country before that of the region.

A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Femi Fani-Kayode, has given reasons the South should be blamed and not the North for underdevelopment.

The former Minister of Aviation further explained that the Northern leaders are united, courageous and strong and put the interests of the region before that of the country in general.
In a tweet he shared on Tuesday morning via @realFFK, the politician wrote, “The problem of Nigeria is not the north: it is the south.
“The north has strong, united and courageous leaders who put the northern interest before the Nigerian interest.
“The south has weak, divided and cowardly leaders who put the Nigerian interest before the southern interest.”

Kanu on Saturday night threatened to expose whoever sent the assassins said to be in a white Toyota Hilux in front of his house in Isiama-Afarakwu.
Speaking on his Twitter page, the IPOB leader warned the assassins to retrace their steps or face his wrath.

“The Efulefus that invited them on this dark day are in for one almighty shock.”
This is coming after the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB on Saturday alleged that the federal government in collaboration with Abia State Governor, Okezie Ikpeazu, were planning to kill members of Nnamdi Kanu‘s family who are living in his compound in Isiama, Afaraukwu in Umuahia.

IPOB : Kanu leads delegation to UN on Tuesday

The Media and Publicity Secretary of the group, Emma Powerful who disclosed this on Sunday in a statement, however said the details of these meetings would not be made public.
The statement partly reads: “Going by the relentless engagement of the international community by our great leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, we the global family of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) consider it imperative to inform the great people of Biafra, friends of Biafra and lovers of freedom that in keeping with the promise of our leader during his last outing at the EU, he will be leading a delegation to the UN office in Geneva Switzerland on Tuesday 18th September 2019.
“As usual details of these meetings will not be subject to public disclosure as we are well aware of the lengths the corrupt, fraudulent and election stealing cabal will go to hamstring and frustrate our efforts.
Leader of the proscribed Indigenous people of Biafra (IPOB), Mazi Nnamdi Kanu will on Tuesday lead a delegation to the UN office in Geneva, Switzerland.
“Not many people know that Nigerian Ambassador to the EU personally rang Seb Dance the Member of European Parliament that invited our leader to the EU, to try bullying him into cancelling the event.
“Anytime we make public our critical diplomatic engagements, the corrupt Nigerian Government has used their considerable wealth and clout of sovereignty to cajole, buy-off, bribe, intimidate and threaten their business interests in Africa.
“Nigeria it must be said, sent two female diplomats from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to observe our leader’s presentation at the European Parliament.
“Our leader even walked across to these diplomats after the event to thank them for coming.
“Any Nigerian or agent of Nigeria that wants to know the outcome of the Brussels outing should ask the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, after all two of their diplomats were there to hear our leader speak.
According to the statement, Kanu, would during the trip, engage in a series of meetings and would for the first time officially present to various UN agencies and bodies a catalogue of serial killings, abductions, massacre and ongoing reign of terror in Nigeria against Biafrans
“It is our stated intention to bring the human tragedy that Nigeria has become to the attention of the civilised world.
“For the avoidance of doubt and possible misrepresentation or interpretation, our leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and his team will appear before the great men and women of the world at the UN headquarters in Geneva and not the General Assembly in New York as being speculated in some quarters.
“Our demand for the recognition of the right of Biafrans to self-determination and the need for urgent intervention of the civilised world in order to avert looming catastrophe will continue to gather momentum.”
While calling on Biafrans living in Switzerland and other European countries to come out to support its leader and his team on the landmark occassion, the group restated its resolve never to stop until Biafra was restored.
“It should be recalled that our leader explicitly stated during his visit to EU Parliament that our next move will be to the UN and after that Washington DC. Today we are glad to say the UN visit is set and in the coming weeks, we will be in Washington DC.
“IPOB is fighting very strongly on all diplomatic and legal fronts to ensure that the right of Biafrans and other trapped ethnic nationalities in Nigeria to self-determination is upheld. We will not leave any stone unturned in our quest to accomplish this.” the statement added.

BIAFRANS : Rochas Okorocha reveals when he’ll join Nnandi Kanu’s IPOB

The former governor, now the lawmaker representing Imo North at the upper legislative chamber of the National Assembly, said that he is yet to find out what IPOB is looking for.
Okorocha, who admitted knowing members of the organisation added it is his duty to have a chat with them as a father.
He, however, said that they must convince him on why he must join IPOB and where it is taking Igbos to.
The immediate past Governor of Imo State, Senator Rochas Okorocha, has declared that he will not hesitate to join the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, if the Nnamdi Kanu-led group is able to convince him to do so.
“In the first place, IPOB is not different from other similar groups from other parts of the country, but it is just the packaging and name that have always been the problem,” he was quoted by Sun.
“I don’t know what we plan to achieve by isolating ourselves from the rest of the country. And until IPOB answers the question, the leaders might not know how to handle it.
“When you say IPOB, are they trying to call for another sovereign nation? If they want to use this as a way of correcting certain injustices meted to the Igbo, then they should change the name to start with.
“When Oduduwa, Arewa or Niger Delta youths talk, they don’t call for a sovereign nation. For Igbo to become a country of their own, they have to think about the consequences.
“Personally, I don’t think it is good for the Igbo to become isolated from other nations and tribes in this country.
“Although the young men may have grievances, they should package them properly for the world to understand what they are fighting for.
“To be honest with you, I don’t know what IPOB is looking for till date. I don’t know what the agenda of IPOB are and where they are planning to take Ndigbo to.
“The leaders seem to have kept quiet for too long. As our children, we need to guild them and let them know that they cannot be talking about sovereignty within a nation.
“What programme do they have in the first place? What has IPOB done about the Igbo killed in South Africa? Is it not surprising that they have not done anything?
“I challenge all the Igbo to return from South Africa, India and other parts of the world, converge on Onitsha market and let us see what will happen.
“I don’t think the Igbo need IPOB at this point; it is rather a distraction that is not good for our political future. It might be the reason we are not doing well politically, yet we are adding more danger to it.
“They are our children; we love them and need to bring them closer. So, it is the failure of leadership in Igboland that should be blamed. We are not showing good leadership to these boys.
“They are children and look at how they attacked Ekweremadu, but how have the attack or threat to other political leaders solved the problem of Igbo in Nigeria?
“How has it corrected the problem of marginalisation of Igbo in Nigeria? They are beating up people in the name of IPOB in Owerri, Aba and other towns, but how has that solved the problem?
“I think IPOB is rather waging war against ourselves which should not be. I am looking forward to meeting with them anytime to address this issue and if they convince me, I will follow them and if I convince them, they should follow me.
“Can we have a meeting where the Igbo will meet with these IPOB, MASSOB and those other associations to find a common ground because whether they are bad, good or evil, they are our brothers, children, sons and daughters?
“I cannot lay claim that I don’t know them because they are Igbo and it is my duty to have a chat with them as a father. They must convince me on why I must join IPOB and where it is taking us to.
“I have told them to join APC because through APC, Igbo man might become president and if they have contrary view, they can look for alternative. IPOB needs to explain where they want to take Ndigbo to.”
