But in a statement on Saturday by its spokesperson, Emma Powerful, IPOB said the world will on Monday in Awka witness battle between good and evil, light versus darkness. It said: “On Monday the 21st of May 2018 at Ekwueme Square in Awka, the long suffering down trodden people of the East will rise up to say enough is enough. Our 50 years of Fulani captivity, aided and abated by Ohanaeze Ndigbo will finally come to an end. All agents of darkness and iniquity with red caps, recruited by the caliphate immediately after the war in 1970 to serve their interest and enslave Igboland, will be exposed.“We know Ohanaeze Ndigbo and their Hausa/Fulani masters have only three options left.1. To seek to influence the media in Lagos and Abuja to report them favorably. We also know that Aso Rock media compliance and enforcement unit under a certain Brigadier of Arewa extraction has been putting pressure on some media outlets, without much success, to report prepared speeches by Nnia Nwodo and Chukwuma Soludo even if they are not read. The Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, has restated its plan to disrupt the proposed summit on restructuring by the Ohanaeze Ndigbo scheduled for May 21, 2018 at Awka, Anambra State.2. We are also aware of their plans to hire some Hausa/Fulani youths from Ebonyi State and Obiano’s political thugs to attend the event in Ohanaeze Youth Congress OYI uniform to provide them additional security. Dave Umahi, Okezie Ikpeazu and Willie Obiano promised to supply the majority of these street urchins. These hired thugs will be paid a paltry 2,000 Naira each whereas Aso Rock budgeted and gave Ohanaeze Ndigbo 25,000 for each thug they can manage to bus to the event.3. Their last and final strategy, upon which all their hope rests is to prevent IPOB from getting to the venue or entering Anambra State altogether. Nnia Nwodo is presently in Onitsha not Awka. IPOBIntelligence unit has assured that he will soon be located and his hotel made public.“We are fully aware that Ohanaeze Ndigbo and Igbo governors have secured the assurances of their Fulani masters that army formations in the East would be in Awka to protect them. We expect existing number of roadblocks and checkpoints to be quadrupled. This was the same Nnia Nwodo that made reducing the number of checkpoints in Igboland his top priority. He has made a full u-turn and is the one now begging his Fulani masters to bring their army to occupy his father’s land.“If Ohanaeze Ndigbo is genuinely loved by the people, why would they rely on Hausa/Fulani soldiers and hired thugs to defend them from the same people they claim they are representing. Such hypocritical stance is the reason why Ohanaeze Ndigbo is bad for our people, bad for our survival and bad for generations unborn. They say one thing but do another.“They hope by distorting the news and reporting falsehood they can persuade the masses that they are the authentic mouthpiece of the people. We want to make it clear that it doesn’t matter how many Northern Muslim soldiers that come to their rescue. IPOB will break their lines of cordon as we did at Ebonyi and Ekwulobia in 2017. Willie Obiano and Dave Umahi seem to have forgotten what happened at Abakaliki and Ekwulobia. We shall remind them again on Monday.“Each checkpoint we encounter on Monday will be video recorded and streamed live on social media platforms for the world to see what Ohanaeze and their Hausa/Fulani have turned our land into. Whereas other parts of Nigeria have dispensed with military occupation, in Igboland Ohanaeze Ndigbo and Igbo governors have actively encouraged it as a means of holding the people down for their northern masters.“With the active connivance of Ohaneze Ndigbo and South East governors, Igboland is now effectively a Fulani colony where Hausa/Fulani soldiers are encouraged to kill, torture and detain at will. The inevitable brutality and actions of the Fulani military on Monday will confirm that previous massacres, torture, illegal arrests and detention of IPOB Agitators were sanctioned by Ohanaeze Ndigbo and South East governors. Monday is a date with destiny. We pray that journalists should remain neutral and report the events accurately without fear or favour.“Anybody seen with Ohanaeze Ndigbo t-shirt will be regarded as a hired Hausa/Fulani thug and will be dealt with accordingly. In our finest tradition, we tell the world what we are going to do before we do it because we are freedom fighters. Any hired thug that wants to waste his life should join anything called Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youths on Monday.”

IPOB : Anglican Church tackles Nigerian govt over Nnamdi Kanu, parent
The Church decried the inability of the Nigerian government to come out in clear terms to explain what happened to Eze Israel Kanu, his wife, and their son, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.Rising from the 9th Synod of the Diocese of Umuahia, Province of Aba, held at St. Luke’s Church, Amakama, Olokoro, Umuahia Council area of Abia State, the Church also rejected the decision of President Muhammadu Buhari to run for a second term in 2019, and advised him to jettison the idea. The Aba province of the Anglican Church, weekend, asked the Federal Government to tell Nigerians the whereabouts of Eze Israel Kanu, father of the leader of Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu, his wife, Sally and the IPOB leader himself. The Church further tasked Buhari “as the chief security officer of the nation to as a matter of urgency and for the unity of the country correct the lopsided appointments in Federal positions”.A communiqué issued by the Synod, “strongly frowned at the state of insecurity in the nation, particularly the inability of the government to clearly state what happened to HRH Eze Sir I. O. Kanu, his wife, Ugoeze Lady Sally Kanu and the son, Mr. Nnamdi Kanu, all of Isiama Afaraukwu, concerning their present whereabouts, after the soldiers illegally invaded their home in the name of Operation Python Dance 11. The synod therefore called on the government to clearly state what happened to them.”The communique condemned the violent activities of the herdsmen which it said “has led to pillage and destruction of villages and communities as well as dastardly massacre of innocent residents by the marauding herdsmen”, even as it condemned the “killing of the two Reverend Fathers in Benue State. There has been national outcry against the herdsmen and calls for Federal Government to declare them as terrorists; regrettably Government has continued to foot drag. The decision of the President to run for a second tenure should be reconsidered and the synod called on him to resign honourably.”The communiqué also frowned at the attitude of elected people, including Governors and lawmakers at all levels “on their failure for not coming to the grassroots to inform the electorate of the position and situation of things in the country.”

BIAFRA : Biafra group knocks IPOB over threat to disrupt restructuring summit
A pan Biafran group, the Movement of Biafrans in Nigeria (MOBIN) has given knocks on the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) for its uncompromising stand on issues regarding the actualization of Biafra.
The group expressed shock at the continual, incessant threats against reason and commonsense by the Nnamdi Kanu-led faction of Indigenous People of Biafra.
In a statement by its director general, Nwada Eberechukwu Anigbogu, MOBIN wondered what actually is the intention of IPOB for threatening to disrupt the restructuring summit being organized by Ohanaeze Ndigbo at Awka.
It states: “We are appalled that the organization, in its unbridled desire for popularity will always choose to attack every action taken to address our agitations, whether right or wrong. The latest is the repeated insults on the leadership of Ohaneze Ndigbo, and this time in the form of threats against the proposed restructuring summit. The Press Release signed by Mr Emma Powerful, threatening fire and brimstone against Ohaneze Ndigbo is very distasteful.
You cannot condemn every move made by our elders and insist it’s your opinion or nothing.
The Summit for Restructuring is a move in the right direction and should be supported by all freedom fighters and comrades of the Biafran cause.
We call on all Biafrans to be aware that Mr Emma Powerful has no better alternative to the Summit, given the current circumstances we find ourselves in.
They should also be aware that the Summit is lawful, and any attempt to disrupt it is illegal and would be stopped by security agencies.
Emma Powerful, Uche Mefor and all others urging you to come out and confront legal security agents will not join you during the confrontation as they would be safe in their homes, far away from Nigeria while you either get arrested, get injured or get killed. These manipulative directives of the IPOB leadership have brought nothing but violence and death across the South East. They have always urged our sons and daughters to stand against armed security forces. Without arms they have done this and each time, we lose our children. Yet not one of those asking for this violence ever comes out to lead the confrontation.
Is it not time we resort to alternate, more friendly methods of agitations other than the ones that bring death, sorrow and tears? How long shall we keep burying our children when we have more pragmatic alternatives?
We are asking you to stand down and resort to our political and diplomatic methods toward Biafra by being part of the unfolding political process.
Do not endanger your lives for people who will not raise a finger to assist you when you run into trouble. They never have and never would.
Instead of willfully inviting violence against our people, why don’t we sit and hear the alternatives Ohaneze shall bring to the table?
The vision of MOBIN is the political and economic emancipation of Biafraland based on the philosophy that politics determines the economy of the nation.
We are Biafrans by indigene and Nigerians by citizenship. As such, we have a right to participate in all social, political and economic activities of Nigeria.
We therefore urge you to join the political, economic and diplomatic path to Biafra which is not only legal, but also the most credible alternative.”
IPOB : Shadows of Biafra reignites restructuring debate at launch
Nigerian and Biafran soldiers in war gears, brandishing guns on the battlefield. But instead of exchanging fire, they shared food, drinks and cigarettes. Impossible? The scenario is unbelievable, but true of the 1967-70 civil war as recounted by war hero and grand patron of Ohanaeze Lagos Chief Guy Ikokwu, who represented Ohanaeze Ndigbo President-General, Chief Nnia Nwodo, at the presentation of “Shadows of Biafra” by Uchenna Nwankwo.
His words, inspired by Nwankwo’s new book, touched on civil war and ignited talks on restructuring, true federalism, resource control and killer-herdsmen, Boko Haram and more.
The event, chaired by Chief Olu Falae, who was represented by the defunct Social Democratic Party (SDP presidential aspirant Dr Uma Eleazu, held at the Nigerian Institute of International Affairs (NIIA).
“We, in Biafra, worked very hard to contain the Nigerian invasion as much as possible,” he began. “Before the Addis Ababa conference, the Biafran forces tried to hold their ground, and at the underground Ojukwu Military Bunker, about a dozen of us, including my humble self as head of the War Information Bureau in charge of motivating our Commando Units, expressed our collective reservation about the continuance of the war as we were very short of arms and food for our soldiers and militia.
“In fact, on many warfronts, Nigerian and Biafran forces had some beneficial ceasefire and exchanged food and drinks and peaceful rest. We, therefore, agreed to draft our terms for the end of the war! A committee supplied the draft, which was on our ideological theme ‘’On Aburi We Stand’’ , which was for true federalism as Nigerians interpreted it as a call for confederacy or loose federation of the component entities of the new Nigeria. All of us in the Bunker signed the document with our blood from our fingers!”
The war hero, who is also the Grand Patron of Ohanaeze Lagos, said: “The new Biafra mantra is one of the minds of ideology and not of a territory within the Nigerian space.” He lamented that from 1970 to 2018, “Nigeria has not recovered its democratic norms and the governance system had deteriorated to a unitary despotic system, wasting nearly 50 years of our common heritage”.
“It is also up to all Nigerians to live up to such expectations in the interest of the black race and posterity, hence the present consistent alarm for the restructuring of our polity for justice, equity, fair play and egalitarianism collectively.
“Today’s political formation must be a collective effort, a coalition of parties, a collection of those with similar national ideology and manifesto, with a younger generation moving the country forward in this digital age of our world! …On Aburi We Stand – which was for True Federalism – as Nigerians interpreted it as a call for confederacy or loose federation of the component entities of the new Nigeria. All of us in the Bunker signed the document with our blood from our fingers!” he said.
He was not alone in the call for restructuring. Afenifere chieftain Chief Supo Shonibare added his voice to the call, observing that restructuring “is the template that allows for collective leadership”.
He said: “My take is that it is useful for us to pay attention to the issue that was initially an agitation for restructuring, and it is very apt at this stage of the Nigerian structure for us to realise that there is no nation in the world with different ethnicities that operates the kind of unitary system that we operate.
“It is the solution to the issues of tribalism and marginalisation. The only sensible reaction that Nigerians should have is that we restructure our country and devolve powers to the various ethnic zones, so that we can be a truly federal system and the issue of not allowing that to add to civil war should be something we should remind ourselves so that we don’t go that path again.”
How SARS abducted Nnamdi Kanu’s younger brother, cousin – IPOB alleges
The Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, has alleged that a team of Special Anti Robbery Squad, SARS, operatives of the Nigeria Police, abducted Emmanuel Kanu, younger brother of its leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and his cousin, Bonaventure Uche Njoku in Umuahia, Abia State.
IPOB said the abductors took them to an unknown place.
A statement by its Media and Publicity Secretary, Comrade Emma Powerful, IPOB said that the SARS operatives from the way they behaved as captured on CCTV, were on a mission to kill Kanu but warned that hell will be let loose if anything untoward happened to him.
“We once again draw the attention of the civilized world to the systematic and orchestrated secret killings of Biafrans closely related to our leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu but this will never cow us.
“This afternoon, a team of stern looking SARS personnel were caught on CCTV pursuing a vehicle with Prince Emmanuel Kanu and his cousin, Mr Bonaventure Uche Njoku in it. Their behaviour is tantamount to people on a mission to kill. Reports reaching us is that the two, Emmanuel and Bonaventure have now been abducted by SARS and taken to an unknown location.
“Not content with the abduction of Igbo Jewish religious leaders, they have now resorted to target direct members of Nnamdi Kanu’s family whom we presumed was killed during the Operation Python Dance 2 in Umuahia Abia State last year.
“Those urging IPOB to remain peaceful must prevail on the present All Progressives Congress, APC government dictatorship to release innocent Biafrans in their custody because, no amount of intimidation and illegal arrest will prevent the coming of Biafra independence.
“Abductions, illegal detentions and summary executions have never stopped any legitimate march towards freedom. These spate of abductions are a sure sign that IPOB is winning.“Their Operation Python Dance and negative media campaigns did not stop IPOB, perhaps they think that a few abductions here and there might. Whoever advised Okezie Ikpeazu and the Edoborn Commissioner of Police to target Kanu’s family has done them a great disservice,” he said.
BIAFRA : Ohanaeze Ndigbo speaks on restructuring, says Biafra not feasible
The Ohanaeze Ndigbo on Wednesday declared that Biafra is not feasible.
Prof. Chigozie Ogbu, the Deputy National President of Ohaneze Ndigbo, stated this in Abakaliki, while delivering a speech at a town hall meeting.
He said that the agitators were fed up with Nigeria and the alleged perceived marginalisation of Igbo nation and decided that they did not want to belong to Nigeria.
Ogbu, who is also the Acting Vice Chancellor, Ebonyi State University, noted that Ohaneze Ndigbo dialogued with IPOB and other pro-Biafra groups to dissuade them from secessionist agitations.
“But we have looked at that very carefully, and found that achieving an independent Biafran State is ‘non starter,’ given processes involved unless through war.
“The only thing that may take you even there is war and nobody here who witnessed the civil war will ever wish war for Ndigbo anymore.
“So, we dialogued with them, we talked with them and said to them let’s start with restructuring, let’s get it right this time, may be with time we can have plebiscite to determine whether we can have Biafra or not.
“So, people should understand that Biafra is not feasible at this time if you analyse all the processes involved. They are talking about referendum; referendum is not contained in the 1999 Nigeria constitution.
“Let those who interact with them tell them that Igbos should not short change themselves; we are trying to see how we can right some wrongs done to Igbos and I think we will achieve that if we work together, ” Ogbu said.
Ogbu said that the town hall meeting was convened to articulate the position of Ebonyi on some key issues of restructuring, ahead of the Igbo Summit holding in Awka, Anambra on May 21.
He said that the present leadership of Ohaneze Ndigbo had succeeded in bringing about a united Southern region, where all the zones in the region could speak with one voice on national issues. He added that the South-West and South-South, had adopted positions on restructuring, stressing that the views of the three geo-political zones would help to achieve a stronger position in the restructuring debate.

BIAFRA : Police Arrest Jewish Worshippers At Nnamdi Kanu’s Home
BIAFRA NATION
The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has said that no
fewer than 21 Jewish worshipers were arrested on Sunday by the police
during a prayer session at the Umuahia home of its leader, Nnamdi Kanu.
“The leadership and entire family members
of IPOB condemn the abduction of 21 Shalom Church members and other
Christian denominations praying in the residence of IPOB leader, Mazi
Nnamdi Kanu, by Nigerian security operatives on Sunday morning,” IPOB
said.
According to a statement by IPOB’s
Spokesman, Emma Powerful, the worshippers had gathered to pray and
cleanse the compound when the security operatives swooped down on them
and whisked them away to the Zone 9 Police Headquarters, Umuahia.
“This is to alert the whole world that
the Jewish worshippers praying in Afaraukwu Ibeku at IPOB leader’s
residence are currently undergoing severe torture in the hands of
Nigeria security agents at the Central Police Station, Umuahia, and Zone
9 Force Headquarters, Ehimiri Estate, Ikot Ekpene Road, Umuahia.
“The Nigerian security agents tortured
the Jewish worshippers who came to pray at the compound on Sunday
morning without any provocation.
“The unprovoked attack on these innocent
worshippers, whose crime was to pray and spiritually sanctify the
residence of IPOB leader desecrated when the Nigeria army and other
security agencies killed and maimed over 28 innocent unarmed members of
IPOB, including the abduction of our leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, since
last year, September.”
IPOB condemned the arrest of the innocent worshippers and demanded their immediate and unconditional release.
The pro-Biafra group also sought the United State of America’s intervention to free the arrested worshippers.
It said the action of the operatives was
in clear violation of a pact sealed by US President Donald Trump, and
his Nigerian counterpart, Muhammadu Buhari, during the latter’s recent
visit to Washington.
IPOB said the arrest amounted to a
declaration of war against Christians and part of the hidden agenda to
ultimately Islamise Nigeria.
When contacted, the Commissioner of
Police, Anthony Ogbizi, confirmed that some persons were arrested at
Kanu’s home but refused to disclose the exact number.
He said those arrested were currently
being interrogated, adding that the arrest was on suspicion that they
were members of the proscribed IPOB group.
“How did they gain access to Kanu’s
house? You are aware that some improvised explosives are being used in
South East now, and we are looking for terrorists responsible for that.
“Yes, there was an arrest and we are still interrogating them.
“You should know that IPOB is an outlawed terrorist organisation.
“Find out from them where they came from. How did they get there if they are not IPOB members?
“When did they convert that place to a
synagogue? It is not a place that makes IPOB. It is a person. We are
suspecting them to be IPOB members.”
The IPOB statement also claimed that some
of the worshippers were taken to an unknown place and demanded that the
security agents should be made to account for them.
“Some of the Jewish worshippers have been abducted and taken to unknown places for easy execution.
“The Nigerian security agents have
declared war on Christians and religious groups once again, as a daring
move against the warnings, and US President, Donald Trump’s agreement
made in Washington, D.C, with the Nigeria President Muhammadu Buhari.
“We are calling on men and women of good
conscience, the US embassy and all civilised nations to see reasons to
fight and stop these barbaric moves against the brazen Islamisation and
religious intolerance in Nigeria,” the statement stated.
IPOB said the Nigerian government should be held responsible if anything happened to the worshippers.
