Part of the statement reads, “Niger Delta agitators who were given the Presidential prerogative had a genuine cause that was appreciated by the world over. The Boko Haram sects whose struggle is to disband the spread of Western civilisation should not pampered with Royal honour.
“Some of these so-called repentant Boko Haram members who were released by the Government have returned to the trenches. They were seen in a video clip sent by the sects. It is a faux pas to give such persons amnesty.”
The umbrella body for Ijaw youths, while also reacting to recent allegation by former Defence minister, Gen. T. Y. Danjuma, that the military is not neutral in killings across the country, said the allegation is too weighty to be dismissed with a wave of hand by the government.
The statement read, “We are not comfortable with the response of the Presidency and the defence headquarters. If Buhari is really concerned about the security of Nigerians then he should probe the comment. The security situation in the Niger Delta region is very porous. The herdsmen are everywhere in the region terrorising the people.

“Only recently in December last year, Dr. Chris Ekiyor, former President of IYC narrowly escaped death from the claws of the murderous herdsmen. The laxity of security agencies to the menace Nigerians are facing may attract self-defence.
“Niger Delta people will defend themselves if the Government refuse to take proactive steps to nip the situation in the bud. Virtually, Nigerians in the middle belt and the southern part of the Country are under siege of herdsmen’s invasions. We can’t fold our arms and be killed by these dangerous human species.”   
Niger Delta youths under the auspices of the Ijaw Youths Council, IYC Worldwide, has stated that the decision of President Muhammadu Buhari to grant amnesty to repentant members of Boko Haram would be the “worst setback” to the battle against terrorism.
In a statement signed by its President, Pereotubo Oweilaemi, Esq., the group stressed that Buhari should not be thinking of offering amnesty to the Boko Haram sect members as it should only be given to people who have a genuine cause.

Wike also said “Nigerians must take up the responsibility to sack the All Progressives Congress, APC, in 2019.”  Nyesom Wike, Governor of Rivers State, on Tuesday alleged that President Muhammadu Buhari was plotting to rig the 2019 elections.   
He made the call in Port Harcourt, the state capital, while receiving former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, who was in the state to flag off his presidential campaign, ahead of 2019.
Wike insisted that the President Muhammadu Buhari-led Federal Government had failed Nigerians.
The governor also appealed to all members of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, irrespective of their status to ensure that the party’s march to the Presidential Villa is not truncated by disunity.
Wike urged all PDP presidential aspirants to contest within acceptable limits as the race is not a do-or-die affair, but a movement to sack ‘the failed’ APC-led Federal Government.

According to Wike, “Every Presidential Aspirant must see himself as a member of the larger PDP family. We must do everything to ensure that PDP returns to the Presidential Villa in 2019.
“Only one aspirant will become a candidate. We will do everything to ensure that the party comes out with a candidate that has a track record to upstage the APC.
“God will make sure that the right candidate emerges. When the right candidate emerges, we will team up and remove this bad government.
“There is no benefit that Rivers State has gotten from this APC Federal Government. All the APC Federal Government is doing is plotting to rig the 2019 elections.”

BIAFRA: Chibuike Amaechi is irresponsible, big problem to Nigeria’s progress – Igbo leaders

 
The Igbo Leaders of Thought, ILT, has attacked the Minister of Transport, Hon. Chibuike Amaechi, for asking Ndigbo to apologise to President Muhammadu Buhari for not voting for him in 2015.
ILT described the statement as not only comical but irresponsible. 
But the ILT, through its Secretary, Prof. Elochukwu Amucheazi told Vanguard that people like Amaechi were major problems to progress in the country, as he was being theatrical in his actions.
Amucheazi said, “People like Chibuike Amaechi are some of the problems of Nigeria.
“The man is comical, almost irresponsible.
“People are talking about more serious things like restructuring and he is talking about irrelevant issues.
“This is why we are not developing. He is comical and this is unfortunate.”

Family warns against Biafra comments, activities at burial

 
They warned that security agencies and others have been informed that the family does not want placards, uniforms, flags and others at the event.
Achuzia, 90, passed away in February at the Federal Medical Centre, Asaba.
Chairman of the Burial Committee, Ogbueshi Ejiofor Onyia, told Independent in Asaba, that all they want is a peaceful burial.
According to him, those to attend must abide by the rules.    
The family of civil war veteran, Col. Joseph Achuzia has banned any form of pro Biafra ativity or comments at the burial ceremony.
The date is expected to be confirmed soon.
“The whole world will have to honour him as he will be buried sitting down as a High Chief, traditional title holder and that there will not be lying in state except the Day of Tribute in Enugu.
“We are guarded that people may take laws into their hands. We have briefed the Commissioner of Police, the Governor of the state of our procedures and the way we want them.
“They have assured us that they will use different means to secure the burial from being hijacked by anybody or group.
“We are aware of the plans of the groups and others and as such we are well guided. We shall make sure the burial is crisis free”, he said.

“Nigeria has finally proven to the rest of the world without any iota of doubt that they are animal kingdom indeed, and you can imagine the childish display witnessed by all today in their kangaroo court proceedings.
Firstly, the Nigeria prosecution counsel, Labaran Shaibu, brought up another childish and laughable hypocritical assertion and a printed statement he forged.
While claiming he got it from the social media, stating that there was a security breach pointing out that our able comrade Mazi Chinasa Nworu dropped a threat statement on behalf of IPOB targeting the lives of the Department of State Security, DSS informant in kuje prison and another affiliate (of course only a dummy is expected to believe such a dumb assertion).
But while our lawyers were trying to raise objections towards that end, making it clear that this could be a made up trash and delay tactics because anybody can write or post any nonsense and claim it’s Chinasa Nworu’s doing. As you all know that everything is possible with the Internet.
But Justice Binta Nyako who has been biased all along from the beginning of the court procession, even from her body language, she seemed not to be concerned by all the flaws and lies Labaran Shaibu, Nigeria’s head of prosecution, deceptive moves to truncate the impending success.
At this point, she warned every spectator or family members of the defendants and IPOB members, in general, to desist from taking pictures of the defendants during court proceedings or she will be forced to ban all press or media activities in her court proceedings (because, according to her, they (IPOB) are causing her undue heartache with their social media activities)
but our die-hard lawyers stood their ground, maintained that such online printed documents by Labaran Shaibu are a nonsubstantial and equally a big distraction from the main focus of the day.
Ifeanyi continued, stating that anybody could have written such a thing and claimed it’s from IPOB leadership, even Labaran could have possibly done it himself just to buy more time as usual and all is a delay tactic and a serious ploy to distract the court from focusing on the issues on the ground.
The legal counsel, representing our brother, Comrade Bright Chimezie, in the person of Barrister Iwuchiukwu, made an observation, pointed out that the DSS deliberately filed a motion lately and submitted to him by 9:30 A.M, less than one hour to the commencement of the court proceedings (which violates a section of the court order, allowing the maximum space of one month notification or a minimum of 7days notice and submission of such motion)
But instead, the DSS to simply obey the court order, they have chosen to do it according to their own way (as usual) which is disobedience to court orders.
Barrister Iwuchiukwu also pointed out that his client, Mazi Bright Chimezie has been granted unconditional bail and awarded the sum of five million naira (as compensation) by Uyo federal high court of competent jurisdiction, but the DSS (who takes pleasures in disobeying court order) has up until this very moment refused to grant him bail or pay the money rather, they resorted to indulge in unscrupulous amendment of charges or probably filling a fresh one (all of these are just delay tactics to deny our brother his inalienable right to freedom).
But at this point, Justice Binta Nyako as usual turned a blind eye to the evil perpetrated by the DSS claimed that our lawyers are the ones wasting her time (when it is obvious that reverse is the case all of this was playing out like a planed circus).
The plea of our illegally accused brethren was taken one after the other and they all pleaded not guilty,
Another special spotlight was our beloved comrade, Mazi Benjamin Mmadubugwu, who was visibly angry with the kangaroo court procession and false accusations levelled on him that he is in possession of unregistered firearms/ammunition. He couldn’t help but to raise his voice in anger to satisfy his conscious mind (trying to explain to the hearing of everybody) that “his pump action was fully registered and it was for game purposes”. But Justice Binta Nyako (in her usual biased body language) asked him not to go further with his explanations (shouting him down).
(I know she must have been battling the guilty conscience that is clearly written all over her face because she knew that the young man is innocent of what he was accused of but she couldn’t admit it).
She gave one hour for the legal counsels to have a one on one discussions with their various clients before finally exiting the court building.
Many other dramas equally happened outside the courtroom from the upstairs to the downstairs and even outside the court gates which unequivocally established the fact that Nigeria is a zoo and the zoo is Nigeria.

The case was adjourned till Tuesday, for another possible drama and shameless proceedings.
Also, Comrade Bright Chimezie will be transferred from the DSS dungeon to kuje prisons later this evening.”
