IPOB: Court ruling against us shows Nigerian judiciary is most corrupt in the world – IPOB

IPOB’s spokesperson, Emma Powerful wondered why the Nigerian Government has not proscribed Fulani herdsmen despite their continuous killings of Nigerians.

the group stressed that the judgement has reaffirmed, “once again that Nigerian judiciary and her entire legal system is the most corrupt in the world.

The statement reads, “It flies in the face of common sense and human decency that an entirely peaceful organisation, agitating for their inalienable right to self determination, guaranteed under all known laws to man, can be so cruelly and crudely labelled a terrorist group, because some persons see IPOB as an impediment in their quest to Islamise Southern Nigeria.

It is public knowledge that armed Fulani terror herdsmen has been on rampage, killing and maiming people in their homes, also setting many ablaze, while destroying farm crops and produce. The greatest irony of all is that Fulani terror herdsmen, recognised as the fourth largest terrorist organisation in the world is not even acknowledged as such by the Nigerian courts, the presidency and security agencies.

The Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, on Friday highlighted reasons why the Abuja Federal high Court affirmed its earlier proscription.

IPOB said the Acting Chief Justice Abdu Kafarati gave the ruling because
Neither are they even remotely being considered as a group whose activity is worthy of proscription. Fulani herdsmen it appears enjoy the protection of the state and are also being rewarded with their own territories, through the establishment of cattle colonies.
With this judgement, Justice Abdu-Kafarati has reaffirmed once again that Nigerian judiciary and her entire legal system is the most corrupt in the world. The civilised world must rise up with one voice to condemn this outrage. “When nationalists rose to fight colonialism, they never envisaged replacing it with something infinitely worse and more inhumane like what obtains in Nigeria today. Nigeria it is fair to say, has no legal system.”

BENUE STATE BELONGS TO THE FULANI BY RIGHT OF CONQUEST

BENUE STATE BELONGS TO THE FULANI BY RIGHT OF CONQUEST
By Prof. Labdo Muhammad
Benue State belongs to the Fulani people by right of conquest. This is because half of the state is part of the Bauchi Emirate and the other half is part of the Adamawa Emirate. Benue is therefore part and parcel of the Sokoto Caliphate. So no one has the right to expel the Fulani from Benue under any guise.
Second to the Arabs, perhaps the Fulani are the most benevolent and merciful conquerors in history. If they had applied the Nazi final solution to the natives, or if they had treated them the same way the European settlers treated Red Indians in North America or the Aborigines in Australia, the story would have been different today."

Herdsmen killings: Pay to those who joined Hausa/Fulani to slaughter Igbos in 1967 – MASSOB

Movement for the Actualisation of Sovereign State of Biafra MASSOB, has stated that the killing being perpetrated by herdsmen in parts of Benue and Taraba states was a kind of pay back to those who joined Hausa/Fulani to slaughter Igbos in 1967.

MASSOB also warned governors and traditional rulers from South East not to give any part of Biafraland to Fulani herdsmen for the purposes of cattle colony, adding that the North had large expanse of land.

MASSOB’s Director of Information, Sunny Okereafor, while speaking with Daily Sun, said the warning had become imperative because of information at the organisation’s disposal that some state

governors and traditional rulers from the South East were negotiating with the Northern oligarchy to give out some portions of land in Biafra to Fulani herdsmen to serve as cattle colonies.

Anybody doing this dangerous negotiation should be aware of the consequences of giving out Biafraland to Fulani herdsmen, which we see as abomination, and which not only them will pay for, but, also, their children’s children.

If the federal government wants to create cattle colony, let it be in the North that has large expanse of land and when we need their cattle, we will go over to buy them; but to cede any part of our land to Fulani herdsmen, we say no!” He said.

Okoroafor said MOASSOB would employ every available civilized means to ensure no portion of Biafra land was given out to the Fulani herdsmen.

On the massacre in some parts of Benue and Taraba States by the herdsmen, he added, “This is just pay back time for them and this is just the begging. All those who took part in the unjust killing of the Igbo from 1967 to 1970 will have no peace until they apologise for their misdeed.”

Ohanaeze Rejects FG Cattle Grazing Colonies

 Ohanaeze Ndigbo,

The Ohanaeze Ndigbo socio-cultural organization, has described as unacceptable, the plans by the federal government to create grazing colonies for the use of herdsmen.

the group also vowed to resist attempts by the government to take over their lands under the pretense of setting up grazing colonies as it maintained it would be at the detriment of other ethnic groups should the plans be allowed to go ahead.

The President, Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Enugu State chapter, Chief Chiedozie Alex Ogbonnia, made this postion known in a statement issued in Enugu, on Tuesday night.

The statement further advised the federal government to concentrate on true restructuring.
We hereby state without fear of contradiction that establishment of grazing colonies is not the answer to restructuring Nigeria, an option which Ohanaeze is committed and disposed to.

We are not unmindful of the palpable fears in many quarters, within and outside Nigeria, that there is a grand plot to impose a certain faith upon our people. Much as we will continue to work for and believe in the unity of Nigeria, our people will resist any move aimed at sacrificing us at the altar of that unity.
Government should, therefore, refrain from initiatives that would tend to give credence to the alleged agenda of faith imposition.
basically because we cannot even challenge such unilateral acquisition in any law court in Nigeria without obtaining a leave or consent of the Attorney General of the Federation.

That grazing colonies simply means a forceful takeover of people’s ancestral lands and assigning same to Fulani herdsmen who shall use the land for grazing purposes.
“That this initiative amounts to a deliberate attempt by the government to take over our lands and hand over to Fulani herdsmen whose economy is anchored on cattle rearing.
“That Igbo economy, especially in terms of agriculture and other forms of development, is at risk on account of this initiative.

That this amounts also to enacting a law that would be preferential and advantageous to one ethnic group at the expense and detriment of other component parts of Nigeria, especially Ndigbo.
“That the reasons given by the Federal Government to justify this action are vague, preposterous and, therefore, totally unacceptable to the good people of Enugu State and Ndigbo in general,” the statement read.

We’ll get Biafra using international law –IPOB — 4th April 2016

 Image result for nnamdi kanu
THE Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) under the leadership of Mr. Nnamdi Kanu has said it has the right to pursue the independent state of Biafra under international law.

A statement by the Media and Publicity Secretary of IPOB, Mr. Emma Powerful, stated that Biafra had been in existence before the coming of British colonial masters to Nigeria.

“A perfect example of this is the United Kingdom where the Scots, Welsh, Irish and the Anglo-Saxons maintain their indigenous identities as different people but of the British citizenship. In the same way, the indigenous people of Biafra are Nigeria by citizenship but Biafra by indigenous identity,” the statement said.

“The Ancient Map of Africa in 1662 showed the three kingdoms in West Africa from where the new country called Nigeria was created by the colonial masters. The three kingdoms were as follows: The kingdom of Zamfara in the North, Kingdom of Biafra from the East: and the kingdom of Benin in the West.

“These three kingdoms existed on the map of Africa for more than 500 years before Nigeria was created in 1914.
The kingdoms of Biafra and Benin shared common boundaries and had the Atlantic Ocean in the South with direct access to the sea, through their bays known as Bight of Biafra and Bight of Benin…”
