Ohanaeze Ndigbo has opined that President Muhammadu Buhari disappointed people of the South East when he deployed soldiers to the region to combat youths exercising their fundamental human rights.

National Publicity Secretary of the organisation, Prince Uche Achi-Okpaga made the remark while faulting his silence at the activities of Fulani herdsmen killing and raping Nigerians.
Achi-Okpaga insisted that since 1983 when Buhari was Nigeria’s military Head of State, he has never been fair to people of the South East.

Speaking with Punch, he said Buhari’s last minute consideration of Igbos for appointment was “a political gimmick to keep them in suspense in lieu of 2019.”

Achi-Okpaga said, “The President’s attitude, interest or concerns for the Ndigbo is visibly cosmetic. Yes! No matter how he, or any of his political foot soldiers, may want to defend it.
“His last minute consideration of Ndigbo for appointments is a political gimmick to keep them in suspense in lieu of 2019. Bear in mind it is just consideration for now, not appointment yet.
“I have never observed any fairness from Buhari towards Ndigbo since his days as military head of state in 1983 up till now.

“Buhari disappointed the Igbo when he quickly deployed soldiers with armoured tanks against our youths who were exercising their fundamental human rights and yet he was reluctant to address the case of his Fulani herdsmen, who are still raping women in tens and hundreds, killing and pulverising farms and villages.

“Yet the Federal Government is said to be encouraging agriculture. What an antithesis! When your source of livelihood is destroyed, you are, as described in the Holy Bible in the book of Revelation, living but you are dead.
“The Federal Government can negotiate with the world acclaimed second deadliest terrorist group, Boko Haram, but cannot negotiate with the lgbo youths who were merely throwing tantrums and asking for a better standard of living.

“Is the Buhari government fair to the Ndigbo when it stopped work on the second Niger Bridge? Is the President fair to us when he looked the other way while officials of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission embarrassed, harassed and arrested the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Innoson Group, Chief Innocent Chukwuma, over a matter that was pending in court?

What of the hurried arrest of Senator Pius Anyim while a former Secretary to the Government of the Federation like him who was said to have ‘re-grassed the desert’ was first given a clean bill by the nation’s chief law officer, before he was subsequently indicted by the Senate and the Vice President’s panel?”

nigeria: Where is Nnamdi Kanu?

t has been over three months since soldiers reportedly invaded the home of the leader of the agitation for the secession of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu in Anambra state.
Since then his whereabouts are unknown.
The Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, claim soldiers have him while the Nigerian military say they have no idea where he is.
Orji Uzor Kalu late last year hinted that he’s in London while a social media user said she saw him in Ghana.
But the question begs, where is Nnamdi Kanu?

Prophet Iginla releases prophecies about Nnamdi Kanu, Igbo man becoming Nigeria’s president

Between 2029 and 2038, a young vibrant politician from the least region will rise up with a strong presidential vigor between the age of 37 to 50 and he will turn the economy around, he will cause a change that would move this country to the dream land.

Joshua Iginla, the founder Champions Royal Assembly, has prophesied that Biafra will soon be actualized.
The clergyman said though Biafra will not be actualized through the elusive leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu, “more crazier Nnamdi Kanu’s will rise.”

Addressing members of his church in Abuja, Iginla also disclosed that God told him that before Biafra is actualized, an Igbo man will become president of Nigeria.
The Biafra agitation will resurface again with a new strategy with a lot of mystery that would be unveiled in the cry out.

From 2029, a new generation of leaders will rise up in Nigeria, new faces of intelligent persons.
“God said to me that PDP and APC will keep having rotational circles until 2029 when a generation of the kind of leaders that we are looking for spring forth. None of these parties will produce our David, they will only be producing our Sauls.

Tell DSS to stop harassing us – Nnamdi Kanu’s family cries out

Family of Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the outlawed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), has alleged of intimidation and harassment by security operatives.
The family has, therefore, called on well-meaning people and the international community to call the Nigerian security agents to order.

A statement by Prince Emmanuel Kanu, the family’s spokesman said operatives of the Department of State Security (DSS) have, in recent times, been patrolling the Afara Ukwu country home of the Kanus and, in particular, mounting a 24-hour surveillance on their home.

He said, “What security outfits are doing in Afara Ukwu is uncalled for, since the area is one of the most peaceful in Igbo land. They should rather direct their energies and professional prowess, if they had any, to the NorthEast, where Boko Haram had decimated the population, and Benue State, where he said Fulani herdsmen have turned into a slaughter ground.

“It is getting clearer by the day that security operatives are planning to raid our home again, but it would serve the image of the security outfits better if they return what they looted from our house during the first and second raids, including our mother’s two boxes of clothes.

“The family is still making a case for all the things they looted from our house during their first and second raids, particularly our mother’s two boxes, as anybody still keeping those boxes will have no peace until they are returned.”

Biafra: Abia, Nigerian governments terrorising Nnamdi Kanu’s community – IPOB

IPOB in a statement by its Media and Publicity Secretary, Comrade Emma Powerful, alleged that “there is a systematic plan by Abia State government in collaboration with the Nigerian Army to

continue to harass, intimidate and further eliminate innocent citizens of Afaraukwu, Ibeku Umuahia.”
The pro Biafra group also accused the Abia State Governor, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu of doing everything possible to impress the Federal Government, by his government working with Nigerian Army to continue the onslaught against the people of Afaraukwu with the false belief that they will guarantee his second tenure of office.

IPOB stated: “The governor of Abia State, Chief Okezie Ikpeazu and the Nigerian Army have perfected plans to build two different mini military barracks near our leader’s compound in Afaraukwu, Umuahia, Abia State. This is besides the ongoing construction work to erect reinforced barriers to be manned exclusively by soldiers from the Northern part of Nigeria at the two entrances of roads leading to Mazi Nnamdi Kanu’s compound.

“IPOB worldwide wishes to alert the general public and the entire humanity about the systematic collaborative plan to harass, intimidate and continue the elimination of the peaceful citizens of Afaraukwu, Ibeku Umuahia, the home town of our leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.
“Those close to the corridors of power in Abia State, particularly friends and close people to Governor Okezie Ikpeazu, must call him to order , to desist from this act against the people of Abia state and the family of Nnamdi Kanu. His fiddling with the Federal Government will not guarantee his second tenure as he erroneously believes.”

IPOB: Help! Security Operatives Are Harassing Us – Kanu’s Family

Family of leader of the banned Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, has alleged security operatives of harassing and oppressing them.
Kanu’s family, therefore, appealed to well-meaning Nigerians and the international community to call the security agents to order.
In a statement by the family’s spokesman, Prince Emmanuel Kanu, the operatives of the Department of State Security (DSS) have, in recently been perambulating  the Afara Ukwu country home of the Kanus.

Prince added that the security operatives had begun a 24-hour surveillance on their home.
He said the Abia State Police Command had commenced the erection of a security post close to the family residence, which he alleged was a plot to continue their harassment of members of the family, in the pretext of providing security in the area.
He described as unneeded, the security operatives activities in Afara Ukwu, stating that the vicinity is one of the most peaceful in Igbo land.

He enjoined the personnel to rather focus their strength and professional skills, if they had any, on restoring peace in the NorthEast where Boko Haram had decimated the population, and Benue State, where he said Fulani herdsmen have turned into a slaughter ground.

Kanu said it is getting clearer by the day that security operatives are planning to raid their home again, but said it would serve the image of the security outfits better if they return what they looted from their house during the first and second raids, including their mother’s two boxes of clothes.
“The family is still making a case for all the things they looted from our house during their first and second raids, particularly our mother’s two boxes, as anybody still keeping those boxes will have no peace until they are returned.”

biafra:Soyinka to Buhari – Herdsmen Killings Worse Than Kanu’s Biafra

Prof. Wole Soyinka, Nobel laureate, has said that the killings perpetrated by suspected herdsmen is worse than the activities of the Indigenous People of Biara, IPOB, led by Nnamdi Kanu, which the government declared a terrorist group.
In a statement on Wednesday, Soyinka said he is not ‘aware that IPOB came anywhere close to this homicidal propensity and will to dominance before it was declared a terrorist organization’.
“The international community rightly refused to go along with such an absurdity. The conduct of that movement, even at its most extreme, could by no means be reckoned as terrorism. By contrast, how do we categorize Myeti?”
Soyinka wondered in the release why the Federal Government had not given consideration to some of the stakeholders’ recommendations on how to resolve the problem.
He recalled that after “a hideous massacre” perpetrated by the herdsmen in 2016, a security meeting was called and the cattle rearers “attended the meeting – according to reports – with AK47s and other weapons of mass intimidation visible under their garments”.
“They were neither disarmed nor turned back. They freely admitted the killings but justified them by claims that they had lost their cattle to the host community,” he said.
“Such are the monstrous beginnings of the culture of impunity. We are reaping, yet again, the consequences of such tolerance of the intolerable. Yes, there indeed the government is culpable, definitely guilty of ‘looking the other way’. Indeed, it must be held complicit.”
Reacting to the comments credited to the herdsmen that the killings were in defence of their stolen cows, the nobel laureate, wondered: “How do we assess a mental state that cannot distinguish between a stolen cow – which is always recoverable – and human life, which is not.
“Villages have been depopulated far wider than those outside their operational zones can conceive. They swoop on sleeping settlements, kill and strut. They glory in their seeming supremacy.”
