Aloy Ejimakor, Special Counsel to Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, has claimed that the speretarisut leader may soon die. Ejimakor said Kanu’s heart is failing him, and he is having severe breathing problem. Ejimakor disclosed this while appealing to the International Red Cross Society to facilitate immediate and independent medical examination of Kanu.   The United Muslim Ummah League (UMUL) has said electing an Igbo, as president in 2023, will quell the agitations for Biafra nation. The Muslim group, who urged Nigerians from the five geo-political zones to support the Southeast for President of Nigeria, called on Enugu State Governor, Chief Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, to contest for president, because he is a unifier.  In a statement, its National Coordinator, Mallam Abubakar Mustapha, noted that two of the three major tribes in Nigeria; Yoruba and Hausa, had produced presidents.   Simon Ekpa, a self-styled disciple of Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, has said some members of the group will no longer take orders from its leader. BIAFRA NEWS : 983 Biafra detainees languishing in prisons – Ohanaeze

  The apex Igbo socio-cultural organisation, Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, has said since 2016, it gathered that over 900 Igbo youths have been languishing in prisons across the country because of their connection with the Biafra agitation. The group advised Igbo elite and politicians to include them in the peace move they were trying to broker on behalf of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. In a statement signed by the group’s Secretary-General, Okechukwu Isiguzoro, warned against ‘segregation’ in what is described as ‘classified negotiations between a few Igbo politicians, elder statesmen and the Federal Government for the release of the IPOB leader and other top Biafra agitators. Part of the statement read, “We have it in good authority that not more than 983 Biafran detainees are incarcerated in various correctional facilities across the seven Igbo-speaking states between 2016 and 2021.”

BIAFRA NEWS : Police Reveal Identities Of IPOB Members Arrested In Imo

  The Nigeria Police Force, Imo State Command has revealed the identity of some members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) that it arrested recently in a gun duel. The police reported that its command tactical team on Monday raided some camps of the agitators and engaged them in a fierce gun battle. Their arrest according to the Spokesman for the Imo State Police Command, CSP Micheal Abattam, was made after credible intelligence gathering and surveillance confirmed their hideouts at Okwudo in Njaba LGA of Imo and Umuorji Mgbidi in Oru West LGA of the state respectively. At least three members of the IPOB reportedly died during the gun battle while others sustained injuries, Naija News understands.   Ifeanyi Ejiofor, counsel to Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, on Friday, alleged that the Department of State Services, DSS, has refused the Biafra agitator from changing his clothes. Ejiofor alleged that DSS refused Kanu from changing his clothes despite a court order to that effect. He insisted that the DSS refusal was a violation of the subsisting court order. Recall that Justice Binta Nyako of an Abuja Federal High Court had ordered the secret police to allow Kanu to change his clothes. BIAFRA NEWS : Troops neutralise four IPOB/ESN militants in Anambra

  Troops of the Nigerian Army have neutralised four gunmen of the outlawed Indigenous Peoples of Biafra/ Eastern Security Network (IPOB/ESN) at Ihiala town in Anambra State. The Director, Army Public Relations, Brig.-Gen. Onyema Nwachukwu, disclosed this in a statement issued Wednesday in Abuja. Nwachukwu disclosed that troops received a distress call that the gunmen were out enforcing the illegally imposed sit-at-home order and were firing sporadically in and around a filling station in Ihiala town.   The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) on Monday said there was no going back on the decision to ban movement, sale and consumption of Fulani cows throughout the Southeast with effect from April 2022. The group said the decision followed the desire to preserve the people of the region from being wiped out by herdsmen. In a statement by its Media and Publicity Secretary, Emma Powerful, IPOB claimed that over N3billion was spent on cow meat annually, insisting that such wastages must stop.   Aloy Ejimakor, Special Counsel for the detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu, has challenged the Nigerian government to reveal how the IPOB leader was arrested and extradited. In a statement on Monday, Ejimakor described the extradition of Kanu as illegal and a “gross misconduct”. The statement was titled, ‘Absence of lawful extradition is the reason why Nigeria cannot explain how it intercepted Nnamdi Kanu’.
