BIAFRA : How I ‘toasted’ my wife – Chinedu Ikedezie aka Aki

Nollywood actor, Chinedu Ikedezie, popularly known as Aki, has revealed how he met his wife. In an interview with Sun newspaper, the actor claimed he approached his wife the first time he met her and asked her to marry him. “I met her just the way every other man meets his wife. I made the first move ..I just told her baby, let’s do this and the rest is history.” On growing up, he said “Let me tell you something about my birth. My mum put to bed at exactly 12 am on the dot the day I was born; as soon as it was 12 am, I popped out! One peculiar thing about my mum is that she goes to the labour room with her wristwatch and once she gives birth, she records the time. And God has so blessed her, she delivered like the Hebrew women; she never had complications. I came into the world at exactly 12 am on the dot on the 12 day of the 12 month of the year so that means there is something unique about me (laughter). Growing up, my parents wondered how I would end up because they coul...

The ‘Brain Box’ actor said, “Marriage is not a step to be taken because other people are taking it. “Even if the person is your twin, you don’t have to do it just because he did it. BIAFRA : Nigeria/Biafra War That Year 2020 May Not Pass Us

The Year 2020 is upon us. It is indeed a year that Nigeria is supposed to moult its disappointments and look to the future. On many scores, it is supposed to be the Year of thanksgiving. Many nations are not as blessed. Not many nations had their independence the way our country had hers. And statistics of young nations that descended into civil wars and eventually shrugged it off are even measly. Even after the early travails of the nation, the internal wrangling arising from loss of values, decrepit leadership and wretched management of the nation have seen the nation dangle sometimes on the brink of uncoupling. Yet, she never did. Therefore,an event like fifty(50) years after the war calls for large scale commemorations. The ceremonies may be sober, some could be filled with fanfare, and importantly intellectual energy should go into these ceremonies by war of symposia, conferences, archaeological tours, among others. It is surprising to some citizens, international friends of...
