A new group known as Customary Government of the Indigenous People of Biafra, CG-IPOB, emerged on Wednesday and dragged former Head of State General Yakubu Gowon, rtd, former President Olusegun Obasanjo and Attorney-General of the Federation to a Federal High Court sitting in Enugu. IPOB : Details of Nnamdi Kanu meeting with UN emerge

The IPOB leader had led a delegation to a series of meetings with various UN agencies and officials at Geneva where he presented Biafra’s plight on Tuesday. Emma Powerful, the IPOB’s Media and Publicity Secretary, in a statement on Thursday, said Kanu’s emergence from the meeting was met with chants of the eulogy by a congregation of Biafrans. IPOB reveals details of Nnamdi Kanu’s meeting with EU Parliament

BIAFRA NEWS   reported that Nnamdi Kanu, on Tuesday  took his agitation for the actualization of a Sovereign State called Biafra to the European Union parliament.  The Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, has revealed details of its leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu’s meeting with the European Union Parliament during its briefing session in Brussels, Belgium on Tuesday. IPOB said “Mazi Kanu assured every Biafran after the meeting that his next diplomatic mission would be to the United Nations.” The group added that the diplomatic move was designed to take Biafra freedom to another level, way beyond the imagination of the Nigerian government, before the end of this year. BIAFRA : Why Southern leaders should be blamed for underdevelopment of region

According to him, the South as a region is divided with weak and cowardly leaders who put the interest of the country before that of the region. A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Femi Fani-Kayode, has given reasons the South should be blamed and not the North for underdevelopment. The former Minister of Aviation further explained that the Northern leaders are united, courageous and strong and put the interests of the region before that of the country in general. In a tweet he shared on Tuesday morning via @realFFK, the politician wrote, “The problem of Nigeria is not the north: it is the south. “The north has strong, united and courageous leaders who put the northern interest before the Nigerian interest. “The south has weak, divided and cowardly leaders who put the Nigerian interest before the southern interest.”

Businesses belonging to South Africans have been as well attacked and looted in some African countries as a form of reprisal attacks. The former governor, now the lawmaker representing Imo North at the upper legislative chamber of the National Assembly, said that he is yet to find out what IPOB is looking for. Delivering its judgment on Monday, a member of the three-member tribunal, Justice I.P.C Igwe, said that the petitioner, Sen. Mao Ohuabunwa, successfully proved his allegation of substantial non-compliance with the electoral guidelines.      Recall that the National and State House of Assembly Elections Petitions Tribunal sitting in Umuahia had nullified the election of the Senate Chief Whip, Orji Kalu, for Abia North Senatorial District.    Ohuabunwa of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) had approached the tribunal to nullify the election of Kalu, who contested the Feb. 2019 election on the platform of the All Progressives Congress .
